Abstract

Preeclampsia is a leading cause of maternal mortality, second only to hemorrhage. Early detection of preeclampsia risk during pregnancy is crucial for timely prevention and treatment. The Dhiana Setyorini Scorecard (KSDS) is a simple tool that health professionals and the general public can use to identify preeclampsia risk in pregnant women. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of KSDS for early detection of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Managaisaki City Health Center in Tolitoli Regency. A non-experimental cohort design was employed, with a sample of 86 second-trimester pregnant women selected using accidental sampling. The KSDS was used as the research instrument, and data were analyzed using Fisher's test. The results showed that no cases of preeclampsia were observed among women in the low-risk group. In contrast, 7 out of 14 pregnant women with high-risk factors experienced preeclampsia (p<0.05), indicating a significant association between risk factors and preeclampsia incidence. The study concludes that KSDS is effective in the early detection of preeclampsia risk. Integrating KSDS into prenatal screening protocols and training healthcare workers on its use and interpretation can improve maternal and infant safety during pregnancy. Further research should consider the potential impact of confounding variables and increase the sample size for more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

The fulfillment of good nutrition for breastfeeding will affect mothers' nutritional status and their babies' growth and development. The intake and nutrition of food consumed will influence the quality of breastfeeding given by breastfeeding mothers. Sausage innovation made from tempeh and bilis is expected to be a choice of distraction that can meet the needs of breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to compile information on the nutritional value of sausage as an alternative food for handling stunting for breastfeeding mothers. This research is a type of experimental research in food production. The research design used with a randomized block design (RBD) is one factor in testing macro and micronutrients. Breastfeeding mothers who consume one of these dishes can meet total energy needs (223 kcal) by meeting the most excellent calcium, sodium, and fat needs. One dish of sausage products provides 19% of daily needs for fat and 11.8% for protein. The fulfillment of calcium needs reaches 92%, which means it has almost reached the recommended intake for the needs of breastfeeding mothers. Consuming sites as a distraction for breastfeeding mothers can meet the mother's daily needs for fat, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B3, calcium, iron, iodine, sodium, and copper. Sausage food products are proven to be an alternative food for handling stunting for breastfeeding mothers because they can meet the need for more nutrients when consuming sausage one day off.

Abstract

The Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is an integral information system used in hospitals, significantly impacting the performance of both service providers and patients. Enhancing the implementation of HMIS, particularly through system updates, can facilitate easier processes and access for patients and service providers. Digitalizing HMIS enables the production of highly useful information that can be more effectively shared among healthcare workers at all levels of the healthcare organization. The current study utilized a cross-sectional design, involving a sample of 639 hospital employees from various districts and cities in Indonesia. The independent variables examined were the maturity of financing and network technology, while the dependent variable was the digitalization of the HMIS. Data collection was conducted via a structured questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed using a linear regression test. The analysis revealed that both financing maturity (b= 1.24; 95% CI= 0.59 to 1.89; p<0.001) and network technology infrastructure (b= 1.64; 95% CI= 0.96 to 2.33; p<0.001) had a significant positive effect on HMIS digitalization. These results underscore the importance of adequate financing and robust network technology in advancing the digitalization of HMIS. The findings suggest that hospital administrators should prioritize securing mature financing mechanisms and investing in advanced network technology infrastructure to enhance HMIS digitalization. Improved digitalization of HMIS can lead to better information sharing and coordination among healthcare providers, ultimately improving hospital performance and patient care.

Abstract

Education about first aid of accident in communities is important. Currently, technology for education has developed. It is not only through books or leaflets, but video is a more interesting medium for public education. Purpose. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of educational videos on first aid knowledge and skills for home injury in the village community. Methods We used quasi experimental research design with 59 samples obtained by purposive sampling divided into 2 groups, namely control (n=30) and intervention(n=29). The intervention group was given education using video, while the control group received education using booklet. Before the intervention, a pre-test was carried out, then the video and booklet were given to respondents to read and view,  after one week the post-test was measured again. The variables studied are first aid knowledge and skills. The instrument used is a questionnaire about first knowledge and skills which is filled in by the community. Data analysis used paired t test and independent t test. Result. The results show there was a significant increase in knowledge scores in the control group (p value = 0.009), but there was no significant increase in the intervention group (p value 0.677). Meanwhile, in the skills variable, there was a significant increase in scores in the control group (p value 0.001) and in the intervention group (0.024). Between two groups measurements, they did not differ significantly between the knowledge of the control group and the intervention group (p value of knowledge 0.162; p value of skills 0.360). Even though there is no difference between the control and intervention groups, both educational methods can increase the knowledge and skills of village communities in providing home injury first aid. Conclusion In conclusion,  educational videos themselves do not have a significant impact on first aid knowledge. This must be combined with modules and assistance from health workers to provide education.

Abstract

Obesity is one of the main causes of metabolic syndrome. This incident is triggered by an imbalance in the intestinal microbiota, resulting in inflammation, impaired tissue function and insulin resistance. Lactic acid bacteria, which are probiotics capable of balancing the gut microbiota, are present in fermented milk. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the variations in SCFA concentrations following dangke administration. The method in this research was a true experimental design, specifically a completely randomized, post test only design with a control group. This study used thirty male Sprague Dawley rats were split up into five equal groups, obesity intervention (X1, X2 and X3), obese control (P1), and health control (P0). A high fat sucrose diet (HFSD) was used to promote obesity in P1, X1, X2 and X3, whereas (P0) served as a healthy control group. Additionally, the X1, X2, and X3 groups received doses of L-Bio at 0,018 g/200 g body weight, dangke at 1,8 g/200 g bodyweight, and dangke at 3,6 g/200 g bodyweight, respectively for 28 days. Data were analyzed statistically with One Way Anova test and significant data (<0.05) were further tested using Bonferroni Post Hoc test.  The result of this study showed the highest SCFA Acetate, Propionat, Butirat, and Total of SCFA (P0> X3> X2> X1, P1) (p=0.000). The conclusion of this study found that giving a dose of 3.6 g/ 200 g body weight of dangke could elevate SCFA levels thereby, dangke can enhance obesity management by boosting the synthesis of SCFA.

Abstract

Adolescents have a fairly high risk of reproductive health problems, namely premarital sexual behavior. One of the factors that causes adolescent sexual behavior is a lack of reproductive health knowledge. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of reproductive health videos which include physical changes, healthy association, prevention of sexual harassment and the impact of promiscuity. This research method uses a quasi-experimental pre and post-test design with a sample of 30 students aged 10-12 years in three elementary schools and supported by qualitative data through interviews. Data analysis includes quantitative (univariable) and qualitative data with content analysis. The study's results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05) so that statistically there was a significant difference between the respondents' knowledge before and after the intervention. A total of 3 respondents experienced a decrease in knowledge, 6 respondents remained, and 21 respondents increased. After participating in learning using reproductive health videos, student assessments were obtained, namely 27 students (90%) gave very good opinions, and 3 students (10%) gave good opinions about the use of videos as learning media. Conclusion: The use of reproductive health videos in elementary school students can increase knowledge about reproductive health to prevent risky sexual behaviors
