The purpose of publishing this journal is to publish the results of scientific studies and research in the field of Christian Theology, especially those with Evangelical-Pentecostal characteristics, and the field of Christian Education. Jurnal Budi Pekerti Agama Kristen dan Katolik accepts articles and book reviews from various sub-disciplines of Christian and Catholic Theology and Education, especially those with Evangelical-Pentecostal characteristics. Articles submitted must have never been or are not in the process of being published in another journal. Articles submitted must be in accordance with the written instructions or in a predetermined format. Editors will reject articles that do not meet the requirements without further processing. Articles that meet the requirements will be assessed for eligibility by the reviewer through a blind-review process. This journal is published 1 year 4 times (March, June, September and December)

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of independent learning on the learning activity of class IV students at SD Negeri 14 Tanjungan, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive influence between independent learning in Christian Religious Education and Characteristics on the active learning of class IV students at SD Negeri 14 Tanjungan, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The population of all class IV students at SD Negeri 14 Tanjungan for the 2023/2024 academic year is 35 people. The sampling is the entire population so this research is population research. The research instrument is a closed questionnaire. The results of the analysis requirements obtained a value of rxy=0.476>rtable=0.334 indicating that there is a positive relationship between freedom to learn Christian Religious Education and Character and student learning activeness. Regression test results obtained: a) Regression equation. b) The determination test showed that the percentage of independent learning influence of Christian Religious Education and Character on the active learning of class IV students at SD Negeri 14 Tanjungan was 22.66%. Hypothesis testing obtained Fcount=12.152>Ftable=3.32, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The research concluded that there was a positive influence between independent learning in Christian Religious Education and Characteristics on the active learning of class IV students at SD Negeri 14 Tanjungan, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how much positive and significant the influence of visual learning is on the learning motivation of Christian religious education students in IX SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive statistics. The population is all 160 class IX students of SMP N 4 Tarutung, North Tapanuli Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year who are Protestant Christians and a sample of 40 people was determined using random sampling techniques. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 52 items, namely 24 items for variable North Tapanuli Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, proven through the following data analysis: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0.589 > Itabel(-0.05,n=40) = 0.312. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained a t value of 4.498 t table (= 0.05, dk = n-2-38) = 2.021. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y=42.15+0.65X = 42.15 +0.65X, b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r²) = 34.7%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(=0.05, dk numerator k=23, dk denominator-n-2-40-2-38) namely 20.21 > 1.51. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

In a Biblical perspective, human nature is understood as a creature created by God that is unique and different from other creations of God. Humans are unique in intellectual, social, physical and spiritual terms, which contain responsibilities towards themselves, others, nature andto God.Humans consist of body, soul and spirit, each of which has an important role in human life. .the body reveals the human person in its entirety from an outward aspect, while the soul or life reveals the whole person from an inner aspect, as a creature that breathes, wills, thinks, and so on. The spirit is the aspect of human life with an inner mind too, which can receive andexpress spiritual observations.

Abstract

Philosophy is a method of thinking systematically and critically. In relation to Christian religious education, it must be studied systematically and critically as a basic science so that it can be on par with other sciences that show real benefits for the development of humanity. The author will describe Christian Religious Education as an ontological, epistemological and axiological practice of science. The method used in this research is a literature study approach. Ontologically, Christian religious education must be a strong guide towards the journey of human life so that he is able to exist and exist both theologically and socially. Epistemology talks about knowledge. Epistemologically, the Bible and Jesus are sources of epistemology for Christian religious education. Axiology talks about utility value. The axiological foundation of Christian religious education is a loving humanism that is imbued with Christian values. In other words, axiology can help humanize humans and liberate them from the alienation of their human function in life.

Abstract

The church is a fellowship of saints, called by God to fulfill His mission of teaching sound doctrine to believers in accordance with the Bible. Christian education (PAK) is one of the teaching tasks in the church. This must be done continuously to meet the needs of the faithful. To remain relevant, the church must develop by considering the influence of modern developments that befall the church. In addition, the congregation has shown changes in behavior and lifestyle that are always up-to-date. In addition, the church also encounters teachings that deviate from the Bible and the correct theological foundation. In the development of PAK, the church cannot be separated from theology which is the content of PAK itself. The teaching practiced in the church focuses on God and His work. To understand this, a theology is needed that makes it easy to explain what God's will is for His people. By making theology the basis for the development of biblical PAK, the church grows into a productive congregation that produces more mature congregations who can live out their faith in their daily lives. This article is written using a qualitative descriptive method through literature research. The conclusion of this article is that the church must understand that PAK is a very important mission of the church and needs to be further developed. PAK is part of the church's theological work, so the church must develop PAK based on theology, and theology becomes the basis for the development of PAK in the church.

Abstract

In Christian philosophy, the concept of happiness is often associated with the close relationship between humans and God. Eternal happiness is seen as the highest goal that can be achieved by being loyal to God, experiencing spiritual healing and living according to the principles of the Christian religion. This article explains that happiness in a Christian context includes inner peace, gratitude and the hope of eternal life with God. This analysis emphasizes the importance of faith, prayer and devotion to others to achieve eternal happiness. In addition, this article also emphasizes that true happiness is not only based on material achievements or physical pleasures, but rather on a spiritual connection with God and the fulfillment of a spiritual calling. Thus, the meaning of happiness in Christian philosophy refers to seeking and experiencing eternal happiness in the presence and love of God.

Abstract

Nowdays, the understanding and knowledge in logic, reasoning, and legal argumentation become moreabsolute necessity not only for civitas academica in philosophy and law but most important for legal practitioners as polices, judges, prosecutors, attorneys, lawyers, and even all members of society whosedealing with legal problems everyday. As apart of generally reasoning, legal reasoning, although have some different characteristics, is attached to valid principles of reasoning such as rules of reasoning, rules of sillogism, rules of inductive probability, and informal fallacies. Thus legal reasoning is not a distinct and separate kind of reasoning from logic as science of how to think rightly, appropriately, and valid (as a branch of philosophy) but rather how to applied rules of reasoning from logic principles to legal problems. This article explores the rules of thinking in induction and sillogism. IRAC (Issue, Rule, Argument, dan Conclusion) model as an application of inductive and sillogistic reasoning in law will to end this article.

Abstract

The theology of Hosea's marriage to Gomer is used as a metaphor for the relationship between God and His people. Through theological analysis and historical context of the Book of Hosea, this research highlights the importance of maintaining purity, holiness, and love in Christian marriage to build a relationship that is pleasing to God. Quantitative research methods were used to collect data from reliable literature studies, with the aim of strengthening the concept of fidelity in the context of marriage and emphasizing the spiritual values contained in the marriage relationship. The story of the marriage of Hosea and Gomer in the Book of Hosea is considered a symbol of Israel's unfaithfulness to God, which teaches the importance of maintaining purity and holiness in Christian marriage, and emphasizes the role of love in building a husband and wife relationship that is pleasing to God. This research provides in-depth insight into marital relationships in theological and historical contexts, as well as underscoring spiritual values that can be applied in everyday life to glorify God through a loving and faithful marital relationship.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how big the influence of PAK Teacher Guidance and Characteristics is on the learning discipline of class V students at SD Negeri 048232 Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research method used is a quantitative method. The population is all class V students of SD Negeri 048232 Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 39 people and this research is population research. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 30 items, namely 17 items for variable Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, proven through: 1) Test analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy = 0.665 > rtable (-0.05.39) = 0.316. b) The significant relationship test obtained a t0 value of 5.413 ttable (0-0.05, den-2-37) 2.021. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y = 17.881 + 0.219X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r²) = 44.2%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained F0 > Ftable (0-0.05, in the numerator k30, dk in the denominator-2-39-2-37) namely 29.30 1.51. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

The existence of God is something that humans have always questioned. Humans rely on reason and knowledge to find out about the existence of God, even though humans have never found certainty about the existence of God. So various human assumptions about God arose, that God never existed, and some people denied and denied the existence of God. Even though humans engage in various studies, it is impossible for humans to fully understand and know the existence of God, because God is transcendent and unlimited, while humans are immanent or limited. Therefore, in writing this article, the author looked at it from a philosophical perspective based on Christian faith to answer several questions: Is it true that God does not exist? Is God just a human imagination? Many people, especially certain groups who do not believe in the existence of God, think that anyone who believes in the existence of God is a fool. This article discusses theological concepts and Christian philosophical thought, using arguments used to prove the inseparable existence of God from the perspective of Christian faith. Philosophy has long been a means of understanding and exploring the existence of God in various Christian traditions. The author presents several philosophical arguments used by Christian theologians to support belief in the existence of God, and also discusses the contribution of thought leadership of Christian philosophers in forming views on the existence of God. From a philosophical perspective, this article offers a deeper understanding of how the Christian faith views the existence of God and how philosophy can play a role in strengthening those beliefs. Finally, this article provides an overview of how to study philosophy to understand and reflect on the existence of God, especially within the framework of Christianity.
