Abstract

Traditional food is an important part of Indonesia's cultural heritage that has great potential to be developed in the modern culinary industry. One example is Sosis Solo, a typical snack from Surakarta that has a distinctive flavor and cultural appeal. However, amidst the onslaught of fast food and instant consumption trends, the existence of traditional foods such as Sosis Solo faces challenges in reaching today's consumers, especially the younger generation. Based on the previous literature review, it is known that the consumption patterns and behaviors of Indonesian consumers show an interest in foods that have cultural value but are still practical and modern. This research uses a qualitative approach to examine Sosis Solo marketing development strategy through STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) analysis, SWOT, 4P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), and customer insight. The results of the discussion show that the adaptation of modern packaging, digital-based distribution, local value-based promotion, and cultural storytelling approach can increase public buying interest in this product. These findings are expected to be a reference for MSME players to design marketing strategies that are relevant, sustainable, and based on local wisdom.

Amidst escalating consumer awareness in the digital age, halal certification transcends mere religious observance, evolving into a critical determinant in purchasing decisions. This study aims to elucidate how adherence to Islamic dietary and ethical guidelines, spanning raw materials, production processes, and distribution, instills a sense of security and preference among both Muslim and non-Muslim consumers. Furthermore, the halal label inherently communicates attributes of quality, hygiene, and assured production, thereby expanding market reach beyond the conventional Muslim demographic. Utilizing a qualitative library research approach, this paper synthesizes existing scholarly literature to explain how halal standards can become a key factor in attracting consumer attention and influencing global purchasing behavior, ultimately contributing to a more responsible consumption landscape and fostering increased product demand worldwide.

This research discusses the legal protection of copyright in the music industry and the challenges faced due to rampant piracy, especially in the digital era. Copyright is an important aspect in maintaining the economic and moral rights of songwriters and musicians. Despite the existence of national regulations such as Law No. 28/2014 on Copyright and ratification of international treaties, copyright infringement still occurs in various forms, ranging from illegal duplication, unauthorized distribution, to the use of songs in performances without royalties. This article analyzes the impact of piracy on music industry revenue and creator motivation, and highlights the role of technology-both as a cause and a solution through systems such as Digital Rights Management (DRM). In addition, the study evaluates the efforts of governments, industry players, and collective organizations in enforcing the law and raising public awareness of the importance of respecting copyright. The results show that strong law enforcement, cross-sector cooperation, and public education are strategic steps in reducing piracy and strengthening a sustainable music industry ecosystem.

Abstract

Termination of Employment (Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja or PHK) is still an important issue in industrial relations in Indonesia, which is regulated by labor law to ensure fairness and protection for both employers and employees. Ideally, layoffs should be the last resort after proper procedures and mutual agreement. This article analyzes the legal framework of layoffs, its types, and worker protection under Law No. 13 Year 2003 and related regulations. Using normative and empirical juridical methods, the study includes an analysis of the case of PT Sritex, which experienced bankruptcy and resulted in mass layoffs. The research findings show that there are ongoing legal violations in the implementation of layoffs that have negative psychological, social, and economic impacts on workers. Structural weaknesses, limited law enforcement, and unequal power dynamics between employers and workers further exacerbate the situation. To overcome these challenges, stronger legal supervision and active cooperation between the government, employers, and workers are needed to promote a fair, balanced, and sustainable labor environment.

Abstract

The United States is one of Indonesia's main trading partners in the export of furniture products, particularly teak furniture from Jepara. Although the export value of Jepara’s teak furniture has shown significant growth from 2021 to 2023, Indonesia's market share in the U.S. remains small and is under strong pressure from competitors such as China and Vietnam. While the market potential is substantial, Indonesia faces global challenges such as potential U.S. import tariffs and the absence of a free trade agreement between the two countries. On the other hand, product quality, global image, and digitalization support serve as Indonesia’s competitive advantages. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and threats in the international trade of Jepara teak furniture and to provide an overview of strategic policies needed by the government and industry players to maintain competitiveness and export sustainability. With the right strategies, this sector is expected to strengthen its contribution to the national economy and expand its reach in the global market.

Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of Indonesia’s fisheries trade with Malaysia and Vietnam, two countries that serve as both strategic partners and competitors in the Southeast Asian region. Indonesia holds significant potential in marine resources, yet struggles to compete in the export of high-value processed products. Key challenges include limited cold chain infrastructure, low logistics efficiency, and underdeveloped downstream policies. Malaysia excels in distribution and processing, while Vietnam leads in production efficiency and technological advancement. To strengthen Indonesia's trade position, an integrative policy approach is needed, involving product competitiveness, regional cooperation, and local industry protection. This paper recommends the development of integrated marine industrial zones and incentives for small-scale enterprises to reduce import dependency and expand export markets.
