Abstract

The oil and gas industry is vital for Indonesia, and the safety and effectiveness of work in processing and exploring the oil and gas that operate in Indonesia must comply with existing regulations. This safety and effectiveness are inseparable from how the company maintains the assets and instruments used at the oil and gas production and exploration site. Maintenance of pipes and instruments for production is one of the company's most vital assets. In addition to having appropriate productivity, pipes and instruments must be maintained optimally so that maintenance costs do not exceed the value of the oil and gas production. This study's research subject is a natural gas refinery from an oil and gas company operating in the Madura Strait, East Java, Indonesia. The object of research limited to the company's piping system (pipeline system). This study uses a quantitative assessment using the calculated Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) method and a qualitative assessment using the asset maintenance standard to  reveals how the maintenance cycle that has been implemented can be optimized. The author carried out a criticality assessment using Maintenance Strategy Review (MSR) to calculate the risk level of asset. This study found that 78 assets must be maintained in their maintenance cycle, two cash assets must be reduced in their maintenance cycle, and seven assets can be extended for their maintenance cycle. The two assets that need to be reduced in maintenance cycles are the shutdown valve asset that goes to the temporary pig receiver and the shutdown valve that goes to the HP flare header. An asset that can be extended its maintenance cycle is a transmitter for flow indicators.

Abstract

A globally recognized standard for ensuring the competence of testing and calibration laboratories is SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Many testing laboratories are currently using SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and many have already received accreditation. The laboratory serves a variety of objectives, which is beneficial to enhancing the lab's performance. A laboratory's performance could be measured by how well it serves its customers and their satisfaction. This study aims to examine the impact of applying SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 on the number of services provided and the level of customer satisfaction in laboratories that have been accredited by KAN for the scope of CNC vertical-type milling machines and CNC lathes for position accuracy test, cutting result accuracy test, and circular movement accuracy test. This study uses a qualitative, descriptive research design and conducts elementary analysis to characterize the overall state of the data. Information on the number of services provided and the degree of customer satisfaction during 2016–2021 were compared, allowing for a comparison of the trends in service quantity and customer satisfaction. The findings indicate that the rise in laboratory services is influenced by the implementation of SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Furthermore, as evidenced by a strong customer satisfaction score, the performance of the offered service has no bearing on the quantity of technological services falling under the purview of SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Currently, the palm oil industry disposes the Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) to the land-field without a proper treatment process. Some peoples argue that the SBE still in high oil content and will pose an environmental problem due to hazardous content and it will easily catch fires. One possible solutions is optimizing SBE for land restoration, which could also be enhancing livelihood and reducing pollution. This paper identifies the SBE-bioprocess according to the Indonesian National Regulation for toxic-hazard waste and soil rehabilitation. SBE-bioprocess testing was conducted as toxic-hazard waste both on TCLP organic and anorganic form also as a soil amendment criteria both certain function and organic. Research shows that the SBE-bioprocess could not be categorized as toxic-hazard waste due to very low value of toxic and hazard compounds. Additional C-organic is important before using it as an organic soil amendments. Lab test shows that SBE-bioprocess is high value of CEC, then could be developed for specific function of soil amendments.
