Abstract

The present study is a classroom action research which is designed in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data analysis used qualitative-quantitative analysis. The subjects of this study were 39 students of class X MIPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Talunwho were taughtthe waste and waste recycling. The results reveal that: 1) the application of the inquiry learning model through a contextual approach (contextual teaching learning) can increase the students’ learning motivation. The motivation aspects, which include attention, connection, self-confidence, and satisfaction, have increased from 1.55% to 4.98%. The highest increase was found in the in confidence aspect; that is,3.73%; 2) the application of the inquiry learning model through a contextual approach (contextual teaching learning) can improve the students’ learning outcomes which involve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the role of civic education in social life and building national character in elementary school students. The research method used is descriptive research based on the opinions of experts or previous research and collects data from several scientific journals, research results in the form of thesis, and other relevant sources. Citizenship education plays a very important role in social life and in building national character in elementary school students because it contains values, attitudes, morals, and norms or rules that can be used as guidelines in socializing and building national character. The implementation of the values, attitudes, morals, and norms contained in civic education is still not going well in the community so that it is necessary to inculcate these values more intensively so that the implementation and role of civic education in social life and building the character of this nation goes well.

Abstract

The corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has become a global pandemic and has changed the structure of learning implementation by transforming the face-to-face learning mode to online learning, emergency remote teaching (ERT). This narrative study aims to explore the teaching experience of teachers at the secondary education level in a secondary school in Jember, Indonesia. This study involved five participants who voluntarily agreed to be involved in this study. They come from four different institutions (2 public and 1 private) in Jember Regency, Indonesia. To explore the data, the researcher used semi-structured interviews by utilizing the WhatsApp video call media. This study reveals that although the institution has provided various kinds of adequate ICT infrastructure, as well as teachers who are familiar with the operation of the LMS, the success rate of implementing online PJJ at the institution is still not optimal. This is evidenced by the many obstacles encountered. This study summarizes the various obstacles faced by students during online PJJ as a conclusion of this study. In addition, the implementation of hybrid learning is also recommended to minimize the above constraints.

Abstract

In general, most of the students of senior high school have difficulties in comprehending texts. The objective of this research was to investigate the use of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method to improve students’ reading comprehension. The participants of this research were 32 students of grade XI of Social Science (XI IPS 1) of SMA 2 Blitar. This research was a classroom action research which was done in two cycles. The data of this research were collected by conducting observation, interview, documentation, and test with the criteria of minimum mastery (KKM) of 76. The result showed that that the students successfully met the criteria of minimum mastery. It was indicated from the improvement of the students’ mean score from 74.38 in Cycle 1 to 81.41 in Cycle 2. It was also found that the students’ activity was delightful in the class thanks to the method. In conclusion, CIRC method was found beneficial to improve the students’ reading comprehension, and enhance the learning process of reading.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes. The indicators of success used are test results, and individual quiz results at the end of each lesson. The research design carried out on researchers refers to the Kemmis and Taggard model. STAD with Geogebra implemented using the help of whatsapp and google form. The research subjects were students of class XII IPA-4 at SMAN 1 Kademangan in the Odd Semesters of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The results of the study in cycle 1 showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes even though not all met the success criteria, from the test results obtained the percentage of success classically 58,8% and from the average process of individual quiz success at the end of each meeting obtained 81,36% In the second cycle the percentage of success of the test results obtained 85,3% while the average percentage of success of individual quizzes at the end of each meeting was 86,3. From these data STAD with Geogebra accompanied by the use of whatsapp and google form can improve student learning outcomes for class XII IPA 4 on trigonometry application material. It is hoped that with this research the teacher can apply it to other materials that have the same characteristics so that they can improve overall mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Satu di antara indikator yang berkontribusi penting terhadap terwujud atau tidaknya capaian pembelajaran adalah adanya kebutuhan pembelajar. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa akan materi dan metode perkuliahan Proposal dan Tata Tulis Ilmiah (PRTTI) dengan tujuan untuk memetakan kebutuhan mahasiswa akan materi mata kuliah PRTTI dan mendeskripsikan metode pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa untuk setiap materi mata kuliah PRTTI. Dengan metode deskripsi dan responden adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Perawatan dan Perbaikan Gedung (TPPG) yang mengikuti perkuliahan PRTTI di semester genap tahun akademis 2020–2021 diperoleh hasil Analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa akan materi pembelajaran PRTTI terdiri atas Pengantar Penulisan Ilmiah, Proposal, Laporan Ilmiah, Etika Penulisan, Konvensi Naskah, Kalimat Ilmiah, serta Presentasi Ilmiah. Selain itu pada setiap materi,mahasiswa sangat membutuhkan metode diskusi&presentasi, latihan, ceramah, sedangkan metode diskusi, kerja kelompok, dan demonstrasi kurang dibutuhkan mahasiswa. Dari uji coba materi pembelajaran dan metode tersebut, diperoleh nilai rata-rata mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan PRTTI adalah 77.63 atau AB. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebutuhan mahasiswa akan ketujuh materi dan keenam metode pada perkuliahan PRTTI dapat difungsikan untuk memperoleh capaian pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness use of wayang beber creation media on group B students’ storytelling ability at PAUD Merak Ponorogo in 2020. The research design used was experimental research in the form of Quasi Experimental Design. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation and documentation. The research instruments used were observation and documentation guidelines. To test the research hypothesis, the data analysis technique used was t-test. Before the t-test is carried out, the prerequisite tests were the normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the data analysis test carried out with the help of SPSS 18, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.001 <0.05, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The results of testing these data indicated that the use of wayang beber creation media was effective for students' storytelling ability. In related to the research result, teachers are suggested to use wayang beber creation media as one of effective learning tools to increase students’ storytelling ability.

Abstract

Problem analysis for the development of the entrepreneurship module during the covid 19 pandemic. This study aims to map learning problems to improve students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in the context of developing an entrepreneurship module during the covid 19 pandemic. The analysis is carried out with the stages of front end analysis, learner analysis, task analysis and concept analysis. Qualitative approach case study is used as a research method. The data were analyzed by coding, categorizing, eliminating, combining and dividing the data to see the relationship between the existing themes. The results of mapping problems in the classroom are internet stability is not good, often students do not focus on the material provided, limited expressing opinions, always passive when given the opportunity to ask questions, students' ability in making business plans is still low, especially in grammar, students' unpreparedness to learn independent. Results Identification of students' abilities in achieving learning objectives with indicators of student abilities, basic competencies, learning objectives; and indicators & entrepreneurship studies have a value of 61%. This indicates that efforts are needed in learning so that student competence increases as expected. The implication of this research is that the layout of the entrepreneurship module has been made using replication and simulation methods. This is in line with the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely the Merdeka Campus, Merdeka Learning, which encourages lecturers to improve their competence, especially in collaborating with students and the community in producing products that are needed by the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the principal's managerial performance through supervision of 4 fostered junior high schools in Blitar Regency in Semester 2 of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The research conducted was a school action research in an effort to improve the managerial performance of school principals and was carried out in 4 fostered junior high schools, namely SMP Negeri 1 Panggungrejo, SMP Negeri 2 Panggungrejo, SMP Negeri One Roof Kaligambir and SMP PGRI Panggungrejo which are in the area of the Education Office of Blitar Regency Province. East Java. The research subjects were principals in the 4 junior high schools with a duration of 5 (five) months, from January to May 2021. The results obtained in the initial conditions there were no principals who were declared to have managerial performance in good criteria, in the first cycle increased to 2 principals (50.00%), and in the last cycle to 4 principals (100%). The average score of 50.59 in the Poor criteria increased to 69.74 in the Enough criteria and 90.20 in the Good criteria. Based on the initial conditions, cycle I to cycle II, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the principal's managerial performance. The results of observations and assessments showed that there was a significant increase in the principal's managerial performance after the coaching activities with managerial supervision were carried out. managerial supervision carried out by school supervisors can improve the managerial performance of school principals in 4 fostered junior high schools in Blitar Regency, so that these results can be used as a reference for improving the managerial quality of principals.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe E-Journal M3(Membaca, Menulis, Menalar) with the UTAMI principle (Reading and Writing Every Day); (2) explore the application of PISABUJI ​​BALOG (Pikir, Desain, Buat, Uji, Lombakan, Buat Vlog) by utilizing E-Journal M3with the UTAMI principle to create STEAM-based innovative biodiversity products; and (3) identify aspects of STEAM contained in innovative biodiversity products produced by students. This research is a best practice by involving the students of class X IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Ponggok as the research subjects. The data were obtained by using observation sheets and assessment sheets. The stages of this research include brainstorming, introduction of basic competencies and indicators, tasks presentation, group formation, screening of the best Vlog created by seniors, and application of PISABUJI ​​BALOG. This process utilizesE-Journal M3 with the UTAMI principleboth for the product creation and product dissemination. The results showed that the students' literacy increased significantly from 0.1 to 3.0 on average. The students are able to create STEAM-based innovative products with an average score above the KKM, which ranges from 88 to 91.8. The students’ innovative products are original, unique, and have the selling point. The student-made products and Vlogs contain elements of STEAM that correspond tothe 21st century skills.
