Abstract

Abstract

The earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction that hit Palu in 2018 damaged infrastructure and settlements and resulted in 2,101 fatalities. In this context, understanding the level of vulnerability and disaster mitigation is very important, especially in providing directions for spatial use. This study aimed to map the affected areas, map the suitability of land use against spatial planning, and map settlement development in Palu City. Data analysis was carried out spatially through an overlay of spatial pattern maps with disaster-affected areas to map the disaster-affected areas. Next, an overlay was carried out on the land use with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) to map the suitability of land use. Finally, an overlay of disaster-prone space zones was carried out on spatial patterns to map the classification of settlement zones. The results of the analysis show that in Palu City there are locations that are suitable for settlement and development covering an area of 5233.978 Ha or 13%; an area that can be used but conditional for settlement is 26860.36 Ha or 68%; the area that can be used but with certain conditions is 3106,714 Ha or 8%; while the land area of 4057,112 ha or 10% is a forbidden zone. This study is expected to become a consideration for the community in building settlements as well as a consideration in preparing spatial plans to suit disaster mitigation efforts. This effort is made so that the construction of post-disaster settlements is carried out in disaster-safe areas.

Abstract

The growth of an urban area will result in the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land. In some cases, agricultural land that has the most opportunity to experience conversion is rice fields. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the condition of the rice fields related to the carrying capacity and its suitability to the urban spatial layout of Pangkajene. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive analysis of spatial data and secondary data. The area of rice fields in the urban area of Pangkajene in a vulnerable time of 7 years decreased by 149 ha. The results of the calculation of the carrying capacity of rice fields in the Pangkajene urban area in 2020 amounted to 0.27 which is included in class III or low criteria. While the optimal population is 11,102 people. The total of 15.23 ha of land was not suitable for the agricultural planning zone in regional spatial planning. There are still people who build buildings in the agricultural area of 2.99 ha or 0.71%. The open land also exists in the area designated for agricultural activities covering an area of 6.91 ha or 1.63%. Abstract

This study aims to identify the dynamics of regional development and find a new growth center in Kulonprogo Regency which is based on rural areas. By using a quantitative analysis of regional development indicators, the results showed that out of 88 villages in Kulonprogo Regency, 19.4% had high and very high potential for regional development, supported by the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and also a high and very high centrality value, around 21.6%. These villages have the potential to be an embryo growth center with potential criteria high (17%) and very high (6.8%). The Chi-Square test and Pearson correlation show a close relationship between the factors that form the center of growth, such as population density and growth, level of regional development, availability of infrastructure, and the value of centrality. Four main urban centers (PUP) were selected, namely the villages of Pengasih, Wates, Giripeni, and Bendungan. The Center for Alternative Growth (PPA), namely Brosot, Sentolo, Jati Srono, Gerbosari villages. The rest will support the Alternative Growth Center, Airport Area, Aerocity, and rural hinterlands. Keywords: Regional development level, Growth center, Rural

Abstract

The phenomenon of dating in adolescents is considered common nowadays. The data shows that 84% of male adolescents in Indonesia claim to have been dating, 4% higher than female adolescents in 2017. Dating has a big risk, which leads to premarital sexual behavior. The attitude of men towards premarital sexual behavior in Indonesia varies widely, from agreeing to disagreeing. This study aims to describe the relationship between the level of formal education and attitudes of male adolescents towards premarital sexual behavior in Indonesia in 2017. Kendall's Tau correlation test was used to determine whether there was a relationship between the two variables tested, namely the level of education and attitudes towards premarital sexual behavior. The data used is secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS). The sample in this study amounted to 12.987 scattered throughout Indonesia. Quantitative descriptive analysis and spatial analysis were used to describe the distribution of correlation results in each province. Through this research, it can be seen that nationally there is a significant and positive relationship between the level of formal education and the attitudes of male adolescents towards premarital sexual behavior in Indonesia in 2017. However, when viewed from the distribution in each province, the correlation results vary.
