Abstract

Indonesia designated the non-natural disaster Covid-19 as a national in in 2020. The Sendai Framework Agreement (SFA 2015) states that risk reduction efforts must be prioritized, by means of prevention, mitigation and preparedness. West Sumatra Province has disaster management referring to Central Government guidelines from both the BNBP and the Ministry of Health. But it has not yet referred to disaster risk reduction management. The research aims to determine Covid 19 risk management based on the Sendai frame work in West Sumatra Province. The data used is secondary data from research studies of journals and news in chronology. SFA blueprint for predicting the risk of Covid-19 based on Android. The evaluation results of the Covid-19 Risk Prediction Application (M-RCov19) are easy to use and satisfying. Local governments can socialize the M-RCov19 application through focus group discussions (FGD) and training. And it is necessary to issue a policy in the form of a contingency plan (rencon) after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood characterized by high vulnerability to sexually transmitted infections and various reproductive health issues. Currently, teenagers in Indonesia constitute 24% of the total population. An urgent issue identified is the high prevalence of unwanted pregnancies among teenagers aged 14-19, standing at 19.6%, with 20% of these cases resulting in abortions. Moreover, a significant number of teenagers have been exposed to sexual activities through online media. This occurrence is attributed to teenagers facing challenges in accessing reliable information about reproductive health and risky sexual behavior. Therefore, the authors innovated with a promotive media called REHITS (Reproductive Health In Teenagers). The main objective is to examine the influence of the REHITS application on improving teenagers' knowledge about reproductive health. This research employs a quantitative method. The application was designed using the development method developed by Luther (1994). It includes features such as educational videos, articles, podcasts, posters, FAQs, and a chatbot. Of the participants who used the REHITS application, 87% found the provided information helpful, found the application interface engaging, and encountered no errors during its use. Thus, there is an influence of the development of the REHITS application on increasing teenagers' knowledge about reproductive health management.

Abstract

Community participation is needed in a development program, because the success of the program is closely related to community participation in running a program, including the implementation of PHBS. Environment-based diseases always occupy the top 10 diseases reported by health centers in Indonesia. Clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) of the community is expected to prevent environment-based diseases. The household environment is a unit that is very instrumental in the implementation of PHBS habits so that dissemination to the community, especially housewives on the importance of PHBS as an effort to prevent environment-based diseases. Cases of environment-based diseases, especially diarrhea, pulmonary TB, and dengue fever in Padang City are still high. The Monographic Book Dissemination activity aims to upload public awareness by inviting community leaders, especially in three locations, Nanggalo, Kuranji and Koto tangah, starting from the ranks of the sub-district office, Kelurahan, teachers, youth, health cadres and housewives on the importance of clean and healthy living behavior in the family environment in preventing environment-based diseases. The activity was carried out in the form of presentations, inviting resource persons from environmental health experts, and distributing Monographic books "PHBS and Community Participation in Covid-19 Prevention". The results of the assessment of participants' knowledge before the dissemination activity were 61% with good knowledge and increased to 87% after implementation.By implementing clean and healthy living behaviors in everyday life, hopefully this can be one of the efforts in preventing environment-based disease infections.

Abstract

One of the health problems that often occurs in teenagers, especially teenager girls, is anemia. Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells or haemoglobin (Hb) of a person is less than normal. Anemia is one of the common blood disorders that occurs when the level of blood cells (erythrocytes) in the blood is too low. The data from Riskesdas in 2018 showed that the prevalence of anemia among teenage girls aged 13-18 years in West Sumatra was 26.4%, exceeding the national average prevalence of anemia of 21.7%. Some areas in Solok Regency are remote areas, one of which is Tigo Lurah District. Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 1 Tigo Lurah, precisely located in Batu Bajanjang village, is a school located in a remote area and needs attention in health services. This research aims to determine the correlation between consumption patterns and knowledge with the incidence of anemia in teenage girls at SMPN 1 Tigo Lurah, Solok Regency. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional design with a Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection was divided into primary and secondary data. Primary data includes consumption patterns, nutritional knowledge, and health status (Hemoglobin Level) of female students. The results of the research can be concluded that more than one-third (36.7%) of girl teenage girls suffer from anemia, 73.5% of teenage girls’ nutritional knowledge level is less, a high proportion of teenage girls who have less energy consumption 38.8% and less protein is 67.3%. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between energy and protein consumption and the incidence of anemia.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the second highest potential for natural disasters in the world (IRBI, 2022). The high potential for disasters in Indonesia is apparently not accompanied by Indonesia's ability to face disasters. So inclusive disaster management is needed, namely disaster management that involves all elements of society, including youth groups. Teenagers who live in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 certainly find it easier to obtain information related to disasters by using technology. For example, in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology as a means of education, business, trade (buying and selling) and use of services. Therefore, the author was encouraged to create the REPENA Chatbot as a means of increasing knowledge among teenagers by utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chatbot REPENA (Teenagers Care for Disasters) technology in Disaster Education among Class Quasi experimental pre post test method with control group with a sample size of 62 people. Statistical test results show that there is a difference in the average knowledge of students who received education with the REPENA Chatbot with a P Value of 0.025. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that increasing knowledge related to disaster education among teenagers using the REPENA Chatbot is effective and has the potential for great long-term benefits

Abstract

Parenting styles play a very important role in children's psychosocial development. Psychosocial development is personality development related to behavioral and social relationships. Psychosocial development has stages, and each stage has a critical period or a developmental task that must be passed. This is where the role of the family is needed as the first educator, in creating good psychosocial development. This research aims to develop parenting patterns to improve children's psychosocial development. The systematic review method is used to search for articles in electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, Research Gate, and PubMed/Medline. The search strategy method uses PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and meta-analysis) through four stages consisting of identification, screening, eligibility, and finally inclusion. The search was limited to publication year (2015 to 2023), article type "research article", and Open Access. Articles must be complete manuscripts, published in nationally or internationally accredited journals. Analysis carried out by the author of 6 relevant articles found that positive and supportive parenting styles, which include providing love, attention, appropriate discipline, and open communication between parents and children, contribute significantly to improving children's psychosocial development. In addition, an approach that is oriented towards understanding individual children, understanding their needs, and providing space for self-expression, also plays an important role in establishing balanced psychosocial development. By understanding the importance of positive parenting, parents can play an active role in helping their children grow into psychosocially healthy individuals, who have good social skills, and the ability to overcome the stress and challenges of daily life. This research contributes to further understanding of the important role parents play in shaping their children's psychosocial future.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. In 2017 there were 22.2% or around 150.8 million toddlers in the world stunted. However, this figure has decreased compared to 2000, which was 32.6%. This quasi-experimental study employed a pre-test and post-test design using a control group. The study involved an intervention group of 42 respondents and control group of a further 42 respondents. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using a t-test. Respondents' knowledge was obtained on average before being given health promotion about stunting prevention at 21.00 and with a P Value of 0.000  0.05 which means that there is an influence of knowledge with the provision of health promotion about stunting prevention. The average attitude before being given health promotion regarding stunting prevention is 28.00 with a P value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is an influence of knowledge by providing health promotion about stunting prevention. Health education through documentary film consisting of film about the growth and development of toddlers and stunting can increase mothers' knowledge and attitude about monitoring the growth and development of toddlers and is expected to prevent stunting.
