Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed patterns of social interaction among students at SMPN 2 Wera Bima and may influence adaptive social skills, including assertiveness. This study aimed to examine the effect of digital social anxiety on students’ assertiveness at SMPN 2 Wera Bima. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design. Participants consisted of students aged 12–15 years, who were assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was exposed to evaluative digital social interaction situations, whereas the control group engaged in neutral digital activities. Data were collected using a digital social anxiety scale and an assertiveness scale. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics and mixed analysis of variance (mixed ANOVA). The results revealed a significant difference in assertiveness levels between the experimental and control groups following the intervention. These findings suggest that digital social anxiety has a significant impact on the assertiveness of junior high school students.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in 2022 was 98 per 100,000 live births, while in 2023 it was 177 per 100,000 live births. In 2024, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) was 86 per 100,000 live births. ANC check-ups are decreasing every year. This research is a quantitative research with an observational analytical design and uses a cross-sectional approach which was carried out in September 2025. The population of pregnant women in the third trimester was 35 pregnant women, with a research sample of 35 pregnant women in the third trimester and using a total sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test to test the relationship hypothesis. The results of statistical analysis showed that from a total of 35 respondents, as many as 26 respondents (74.3%) showed compliance in conducting ANC visits, while 9 other pregnant women respondents (25.7%) did not comply in conducting ANC visits as recommended. Then those who experienced anxiety were 28 respondents (80%), while 7 other respondents (20%) did not experience anxiety. Based on the Chi-square test, p Value> 0.153 and p value> 0.05 were obtained, indicating that there was no statistically significant relationship between Antenatal Care Compliance and Anxiety in Pregnant Women in the Third Trimester.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has led to a significant increase in online gaming among adolescents, raising concerns about its impact on academic performance. This study investigated the influence of online gaming on the learning concentration of 100 high school students (aged 16-18) at SMAN 1 Soromandi, Bima Regency, utilizing a quantitative, cross-sectional design. Data were collected through questionnaires assessing online gaming habits and learning concentration levels. Results revealed that while a majority of students exhibited normal gaming patterns (57%), a substantial 43% displayed abnormal habits. Furthermore, 42% of students reported poor learning concentration. Statistical analysis (Chi-Square test) demonstrated a significant negative influence of online gaming on learning concentration (p=0.00), indicating that excessive gaming is associated with reduced focus. These findings underscore the need for targeted interventions by educators and parents to mitigate the detrimental effects of online gaming on students' academic engagement and success, promoting healthier digital habits.

Abstract

Introduction : Childbirth can become pathological and endanger the mother and fetus if the mother is very afraid and anxious about giving birth. Fear will affect the length of labor, poor contractions, and lack of dilation. Gymballs are very useful for advancing labor, lowering the head, and reducing pain, thereby relaxing the mother. In 2023, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) was 177/100,000 live births and the infant mortality rate was 6/1000 live births. In 2024, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) was 86 per 100,000 live births and the infant mortality rate was 11 per 100 live births (Health Office, Bima City 2024). The causes of maternal mortality in Bima City were hepatitis, chronic asthma, and cardiovascular disorders, while the indirect causes of the main causes of maternal mortality were 3 out of 6 cases of maternal mortality, 2 cases due to hemorrhage, and 1 case due to hypertension in pregnancy (Bima City Health Office, 2018). The direct factors causing high MMR are hemorrhage (45%), particularly postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy poisoning (24%), infection (11%), and prolonged/stalled labor (7%). (Umairo & Anita, 2022). Research Objective: To identify the effectiveness of gymballs in inducing contractions in women in labor. Research Method: This study used a literature review method. Data sources: Searches using Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar published in Indonesian in the last 5 years, from 2020 to 2025. Results And Conclusions: A literature review of 12 selected journals showed that gymballs are effective in reducing anxiety (painful), accelerating head descent/time of delivery.
