Abstract

This study aims to identify the entrepreneurial potential among the cadets of the AMI Makassar Maritime Polytechnic and the factors that affect their interest in the maritime sector. Based on in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, it was found that the interest in entrepreneurship among cadets is still low. The main reasons include a preference for job security as an employee, a lack of understanding of maritime business opportunities, and a lack of support from the environment. This research identifies various business opportunities in the maritime sector such as fisheries business, logistics, marine tourism, and marine energy. Factors that affect entrepreneurial interest include self-motivation, family support, access to capital, and educational curriculum. To increase interest in entrepreneurship, it is recommended to strengthen the entrepreneurship curriculum, develop mentorship programs, increase access to capital and business networks, and support the environment. The results of this research are expected to provide insight for educational institutions and the government in designing effective strategies to support the development of entrepreneurship in the maritime sector, so that it can support sustainable national economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of communication skills and work facilities on employee productivity at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Makassar, with New Ways of Working (NWOW) as a moderation variable. The quantitative method was used by involving 36 employees of the credit division as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression to evaluate direct influence as well as interactions to assess the effects of NWOW moderation. The results of the study show that communication skills and work facilities have a positive influence on employee productivity. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service quality on patient satisfaction and interest in repeat visits at the Hasanuddin University Dental and Oral Education Hospital. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method, data was collected from 100 patients who had received services at the hospital. The research instrument in the form of a SERVQUAL questionnaire was used to measure five dimensions of service quality: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Multiple regression analysis showed that service quality had a significant influence on patient satisfaction, with the dimensions of assurance and empathy contributing the most. In addition, patient satisfaction was shown to have a significant influence on revisit interest. These findings indicate that improved service quality can improve patient satisfaction, which in turn increases interest in repeat visits. Recommendations for hospital management include improving physical facilities, ongoing training for medical personnel, integration of health technology, and the development of an effective patient feedback system. With the implementation of these recommendations, it is hoped that the Hasanuddin University Dental and Oral Education Hospital can improve the quality of its services and strengthen patient loyalty.

External opportunities include economic and population growth in Makassar, the perfume trend among young people, and government support for SMEs. The external threats faced are inflation, new competitors, shipping costs and delays, as well as high buyer bargaining power and product substitutes. The recommended strategy is to leverage strengths and opportunities (SO) by optimizing social media, expanding the market through efficient financial management, and improving distribution supported by human resources and technology.
