Bumi Aksara marketing department execute well, the business may still get the best out of them

Abstract

Economic growth is often considered as the solution to reduce unemployment in a country. However, the relationship between the two is not always simple, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. This article aims to analyze the effect of economic growth on unemployment in Indonesia, considering various factors that influence these dynamics. Based on data on economic growth and unemployment rates in Indonesia in recent years, this article finds that although economic growth can create new jobs, the quality of growth and the absorption of economic sectors for labor greatly determine its impact on unemployment. Factors such as structural transformation, education and skills of the workforce, and macroeconomic policies also influence the effectiveness of economic growth in reducing unemployment. This article suggests that more inclusive economic policies, investment in vocational education, and strengthening labor-intensive sectors should be the main focus in efforts to overcome unemployment in Indonesia. Thus, sustainable and equitable economic growth can be achieved, while reducing inequality and unemployment in Indonesia

Abstract

Visionary leadership plays a crucial role in fostering teacher innovativeness, especially in Senior High Schools (SMA). This study analyzes the influence of visionary leadership on teachers' ability to innovate in their teaching methods. Visionary school principals are characterized by their ability to articulate a clear vision, inspire their staff, and create an environment conducive to creativity and professional growth. The results show that teachers under visionary leadership demonstrate higher motivation to utilize educational technologies, adopt project-based learning strategies, and implement innovative assessment methods. However, several challenges remain, including resistance to change, limited resources, and administrative workloads. Addressing these barriers requires strategic initiatives, such as professional training, reducing non-teaching tasks for teachers, and fostering collaborative practices among educators. The findings highlight a positive correlation between visionary leadership and teacher innovativeness, emphasizing the importance of supportive leadership in adapting to educational advancements and improving teaching quality. This study underscores the necessity for educational stakeholders to promote visionary leadership as a means to achieve adaptive, innovative, and high-quality education in Senior High Schools.

Abstract

The utilization of historical sources, particularly newspapers from Indonesia's National Awakening period (1907–1912), holds significant value in history education. Newspapers such as Medan Prijaji, Bintang Hindia, and Sinar Djawa played a pivotal role in fostering national awareness and advocating for independence during colonial rule. These sources serve not only as historical records but also as tools for understanding the development of nationalist ideologies, public mobilization, and the socio-political dynamics of the time. Incorporating these sources into history education allows students to critically analyze primary documents, evaluate the authenticity of historical narratives, and connect past events with contemporary issues. The process of applying historical methods—heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography—enhances students' analytical skills and deepens their appreciation for the nation's struggles. However, challenges such as limited access to archival materials and the lack of teacher training hinder the effective use of these resources. Digitalization of archives and professional development for educators are key solutions to overcoming these barriers. Overall, the integration of historical newspapers from the National Awakening period enriches history education by fostering critical thinking, connecting students with their heritage, and promoting a deeper understanding of Indonesia’s historical trajectory and its relevance to the present.

Abstract

This study explores intergenerational interaction in the context of contemporary families from a sociological perspective. The main focus of this research is how value shifts and social changes influence relationships between older and younger generations within families. The findings reveal tension between older generations, who preserve traditional values, and younger generations, who are more open to change. However, there are also opportunities for mutual learning, both in terms of technology and cultural values. Changes in family structure, particularly the shift toward nuclear families, and the adoption of technology, play a significant role in shaping communication between generations. The study concludes that, despite challenges in intergenerational interactions, open dialogue and mutual learning can strengthen relationships within contemporary families.

Abstract

This study examines the communication ethics between digital native students and digital immigrant lecturers in higher education. With the rapid advancement of digital technology, communication between these two groups is often influenced by generational differences. The study employs a qualitative research approach, utilizing phenomenology and action research to explore the communication experiences and challenges of both parties. The results indicate that while there are gaps in communication styles and technological adaptation, ethical communication, based on respect, empathy, and understanding, is essential for fostering a positive academic environment. This research also suggests that action research can effectively improve communication practices by promoting awareness of ethical communication standards and bridging generational divides in higher education settings.
