Abstract

Menyelesaikan ketaksamaan nilai mutlak wajib dipahami mahasiswa calon matematika karena sebagai bekal mahasiswa melaksanaan tugas pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Unsyiah tahun akademik 2011/2012 sebagai mahasiswa calon guru matematika yang telah menempuh perkulaiahan Kalkulus I semester ganjil. Metode pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tes pemahaman dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Dari hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak adalah kemampuan memahami konsep, sifat nilai mutlak, dan prosedur dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketaksamaan nilai mutlak.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the influence of palm shell biofilter aplication in degrading organic pollutant in fermented soybean cake waste industryat aerobic system. This study was carried out in fermented soybean cake industry atTampan region, Pekanbaru. The total amount of wastewater that produced from onesmall industry fermented soybean cake is around 2 m3/day, and now is collected inwastewater drainage. Wastewater treatment of aerobic system. Basically thiswastewater treatment relies on bacteria in degrading pollutants. The use of palmshell is to increase specific surface of media for attaching bacteria. The systemconsist of one reactor that is made of 5 mm glass, and the volume reactor 140 liter.The reactor was equipped with one circulating pump and blower in the aerobic zone.It took 30 days for seeding micoorganism. The reactor were run in four differentresident time, namely 4 hours, 3 hours, 2 hours and 1 hour. The raw water used inthis experiment is waste water from tofu and fermented soybean cake industries thathave organic compound around 594.08 – 1276.64 mg/l. The water for physical andchemical analysis is sampled daily. It took from raw water and aerobic colum ofreactor. The results from 192 physical and chemical parameters from 24 watersamples showed that the palm shell biofilter gives a little influence to degradeorganic pollutant. The efficiency process in decreasing organic compund valuearound 6.47 – 16.48%, TSS 32.47 – 97.19%, TDS 7.89 – 19.25%, ammonia 0.66 –2.75%, total phosphate 1.76 – 5.13%, and nitrate 3.24 – 6.99%. The shorter retentiontime, the less removal efficiency of organic matter, TSS, TDS, ammonia, totalphosphate and nitrate.Key words : Biofilter, Biofilm, Wastewater Treatment, Aerobic Reactor, Organic Waste, Waste of Tofu and Fermented Soybean Cake Industry.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the influence of zeolit biofilteraplication in degrading organic pollutant in waste of tofu industry at combinationanaerobic-aerobic system. This study was carried out in tofu industry at Tampanregion, Pekanbaru. The total amount of wastewater that produced from one smalltofu industry is around 15-20 m3/day, and now is collected in wastewater drainage.Basically this wastewater treatment relies on bacteria in degrading pollutants. Theuse of zeolit is to increase specific surface of media for attaching bacteria. Thesystem consist of one reactor that is made of 5 mm glass, and the volume reactor 140liters. The reactor was equipped with one circulating pump and blower in the aerobiczone. It took 3 weeks for seeding micoorganism.The raw water used in this experiment is waste water from tofu industriesthat have organic compound around 1554 - 2539 mg/l. The water for physical andchemical analysis is sampled daily. It took from raw water and anaerobic-aerobiccolum of reactor. The results showed that the zeolit biofilter gives a big influence todegrade organic pollutant. The efectivity process in decreasing organic compundvalue ± 90% better than non zeolit biofilter.

Abstract

Seseorang dikatakan memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis apabila ia dapat membuat kaitan antar topik dalam matematika, antar matematika dengan ilmu lain, dan antar matematika dengan kehidupan nyata. Rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa masih menjadi kendala di lapangan. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) merupakan salah satu alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh pada pembelajaran yang menggunakan pendekatan CTL. Data pada artikel ini diperoleh dari suatu penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental design jenis pre-test and post-test group. Random sampling yang diterapkan menentukan bahwa, dari lima kelas IX yang ada di MTsN 4 Banda Aceh, 23 siswa kelas IX/2 terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dengan teknik pre-test dan post-test. Data diperoleh menggunakan analisis berdasarkan paired sampel t test pihak kanan untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan CTL. Hasil pengolahan data diperoleh bahwa thitung = 9,01. Sementara itu, pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan dk = 22 diperoleh ttabel = 1,71. Oleh karena thitung = 9,01 1,71 = ttabel berakibat terjadinya penolakan H0. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis melalui penerapan pendekatan CTL di kelas IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah guru dapat memperluas penerapan CTL pada pembelajaran matematika untuk membiasakan siswa dengan permasalahan yang memenuhi indikator koneksi matematis. Hal ini diperlukan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Kata Kunci:     Pendekatan contextual teaching and learning, Koneksi matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketuntasan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTsN Model Banda Aceh melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Pembelajaran ini dirancang agar siswa menemukan sendiri pemecahan masalah melalui tindakan nyata. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian kuantitatif, jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitiian ini yaitu pre-eksperimentaldesign dengan jenis pre- test and post-test group. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN Model Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2017/2018, dan penentuan sampel dilakukan secara random. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji-t. Uji yang diambil yaitu uji satu pihak, yatu pihak kanan pada taraf signifikan (α) = 0,05.  Hasil pengolahan data hasil belajar siswa menggunakan rumus uji-t di dapatkan t = 4,35. Selanjutnya, nilai ini dibandingkan dengan nilai t0,95, maka diperoleh t ≥ t0,95, yaitu 4,35 ≥ 1,70. Oleh karena t ≥ t0,95 maka tolak H0 dan terma H1. Sejalan dengan itu, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan pengolahan data diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test adalah 42,17 dengan simpangan baku 7,12. Dengan menggunakan rumus uji-t didapatkan t = 32,44, dari hasil pengolahan data tersebut diperoleh t ≥ t0,95, yaitu 32,44 ≥ 1,70. Oleh karena t ≥ t0,95, maka hipotesis H0 ditolak dan terima H0 dalam hal lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi relasi dan fungsi di kelas VIII MTsN Model Banda Aceh. Kata Kunci:     Problem  Based Leaning (PBL), Relasi dan Fungsi, Hasl Belajar Siswa, Kemampuan  Berpikir Kritis.

Abstract

This study was conducted in May 2014 in the of River Tarai, Tarai Bangunvillage, Kampar distric, Riau province. The purpose of this study was to reduce levelsof Fe and Mn with peat water treatment system that is continuous under appropriateregulation of government of number 82 year 2001, so that the processed water iscontinuously peat can be used as a medium of live Cyprinus carpio. Analysis ofwater samples conducted in laboratory peat Public Works Department Pekanbaru.The method used in this study is an experimental method to operate the packetprocessing tools peat water continuously. The research used filter media is zeolite,mangrove charcoal and coarse sand. The results of the peat water treatment systemsshowed a continuous decrease in the concentration levels of metals Fe is 0.0238 mg/L with an average 94.01% decrease effectiveness. The continuous peat watertreatment system also shows decrease in the concentration of Mn levels is 0.0034 mg/ L with an average decrease of 97.55% effectiveness. This value metal rate of Fe andMn after processed have as according to regulation of government of number 82 year2001. While testing the system using peat treated water continuously performedduring the 4 days can support rate of survival for Cyprinus carpio about 100%.Keywords : Peat water treatment, kontiniu, Iron, manganese, Cyprinus carpio

Abstract

Tofu liquid waste is rich in micro and macro nutrients that can be used to grow microalgae such as Chlorella sp. To understand the effectiveness of the waste as a medium to grow Chlorella sp., a study was conducted from March – May 2016. Different amount of waste was mixed with aquadest, there were P0 (0% waste), P1 (65% waste), P2 (75% waste) and P3 (85% waste) were used as nutrient source for the microalgae that were cultured for 20 days. Parameters measured were the abundance and biomass of Chlorella sp., nitrate and phosphate concentration, CO2, pH, and temperature. Results shown that the best growth of Chlorella sp. was in the P3, the abundance was 18.46 x 106 cells/ml and biomass was 0.70 g/l. The growth of Chlorella sp. was able to reduce the nitrate and phosphate concentration, from 7.09 to 0.23 mg/l and from 1.04 to 0.40 mg/l respectively. This fact indicates that the nutrients have been used for growing the microalgae. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the tofu liquid waste can be used as medium for growing Chlorella sp. Keywords: Tofu liquid waste, nutrient, medium, Chlorella sp.

Abstract

This study was conducted in April-May 2014 Tarai River Tarai Bangun Village Districts Tambang District Kampar in Riau Province. The purpose of this study were to reduce organic matter and H2S. The method was used in experimental to know a combined of tank unit and filtration. Results of organic matter during the observation reaches 93.47% effectivity and H2S with 96.8% effectivity. While the other parameters such as pH 7, temperature 28 0C, and DO 5 mg / l. in the control of organic matter and H2S quality standard that is still above organic substances and to H2S with an. Examination on fish survival rate in the processed water continuous peat at the end of the observation system has been able to support fish life test. Abstract

Air Hitam River is one of the most polluted river in Pekanbaru, as there is a tofu industry and households that discharge the waste to the river. To understand the pollution level of the river, a study has been conducted from March to April 2015. The pollution level was identified based on water quality and macrozoobenthos community structure in the river. There were 4 stations and 3 sampling points in each station. Water samples were taken 3 times, once a week and water quality parameters measured were temperature, current speed, TSS, depth, pH, BOD5, COD and ammonia. While the macrozoobenthos diversity (H’) was analyzed usinga Shannon-Weinermethod. Results shown that temperature was 27.67 – 28.00 0C, current speed: 13.00 – 35.00 cm/sec, TSS: 28.66 – 51.86 mg/L, depth 47.33 – 75.33 cm, pH: 5, BOD5: 5.61 – 12.51 mg/L, COD: 29.60 – 38.70 mg/L, ammonia: 1.610 – 3.389 mg/L. The value of the TSS, BOD5, COD and ammonia were higher than those of the Quality Standard PP No 82/2001 and the H’ of the macrozoobentos was 0.93 – 1.802. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the Air Hitam River was lightly to heavily polluted.Keywords: Air Hitam River, Water Quality, Macrozoobenthos, Tofu Liquid Waste

Abstract

Averrhoa bilimbi juice contain s that can reduce organik matter, turbidity and color to improve peat water quality. A research aims to understand the effectiveness of A. bilimbi juice to improve peat quality water was conducted on May – October 2015. The method applied was RBD with 4 different concentration of A. bilimbi juice: P0 (0 mlL-1as control), P1 (30 mlL-1), P2 (35 mlL-1) and P3 (40 mlL-1) and different sampling time, first day (D1), second day (D2) and third day (D3). Parameter measured were turbidity, organik matter and color. These parameters were measure in the research showed that edition of Averrhoa bilimbi juice can reduce organik matter, color and turbidity. In the first day (D1) the best treatment was P3D1, as the turbidity reduced from 805 NTU to 34.9 NTU, organik matters from 1590.5 mg/L to 603.7 mg/L and color from 19010 PtCo to 1037 PtCo. In Second day (D2) the best treatment was P3D2, the turbidity reduced from 901.5 NTU to 33.5 NTU, organik matters from 1303 mg/L to 365.9 mg/L and color from 16.555 PtCo to 894 PtCo. In third day (D3) the best treatment was P2D3, the turbidity reduced from 855 NTU to 38.7 NTU, organik matters from 1135 mg/L to 231.4 mg/L and color from 23.400 PtCo to 669 PtCo. The highest survival rate of Cyprinus carpio and Oreochormis niloticus that were reared in the treated water for 4 days was in the P1 (70 %).Keyword: Peat water, Averrhoa bilimbi.
