Abstract

This study aims to examine the stock market cointegration between The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), The Malaysia Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia) and The Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX). This research uses multivariate analysis for only 3 stock exchanges rather than a large number of stock exchanges. Weekly stock index prices from each capital market covering January 2013 to December 2018 are used and The data is analysed using the Johansen testing approach with the Vectorautoregresiv (VAR) framework. ADF test is used to check the data series stationarity. It is found that the data series employed in this research are non-stationary at level, yet stationary in the first difference I(1). The trace statistics and maximum-eigen statistics exhibit a smaller value than the critical value at 5% significance level. This result confirms that by multivariate analysis, when all series of data was tested at the same time, there is no cointegration between Indonesia, Malaysia and the Singapore Stock Exchange. Meaning that, in the long term, the effects of changes in one of the stock price indices do not affect on the price of stock indices in two other countries in a multivariate manner. Besides, the finding also suggests that diversification strategy to reduce risk and the possibility to gain abnormal returns are still visible for investors investing in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Productive waqf is a very strategic economic instrument to realize welfare. However, this potential has not been maximally utilized because waqf organizers have difficulties in finding funds to increase investment in waqf assets. On the other hand, the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is given the mandate to manage hundreds of trillions of Hajj funds. Law No. 34 of 2014 regulates the financial management of Hajj based on sharia principles that aim to increase the welfare of the people. The Waqf Law also mandates the management of waqf assets to improve public welfare. So that, it is the right thing to do cooperation between BPKH and waqf organizer (nazhir). In this study, the approach method used is a juridical-normative method to study the management of Hajj funds with productive waqf in terms of law and concept. Therefore, the purposes of this research are to review the laws and schemes in the collaboration. The research concludes: first, the synergy between Hajj funds and productive waqf can be done legally and second, the method that can be used by BPKH in placing Hajj funds with productive waqf schemes is profit sharing collaboration contract (Mudharabah) or Sukuk waqf.

In fact, problem solving ability is one of the skills that students must have to face the challenges of time. This study aimed to describe TPE’s students problem solving ability in implementing mathematics learning in plane geometry in Junior High School. The subjects are two students’ of TPE who are TPE in Junior High School. The data collection techniques in this research are observation, documentation, and interview. Based on the research result, problem solving skill for subject 1 about plane geometry satisfied the problem solving skill indicator with maximum score, in the other hand problem solving skill for subject 2 was not meet the problem solving skill indicator, it could be indicated from the problem solving skill for subject 2 that almost got minimum score in each indicators. Implications are drawn regarding the teaching of geometry and the problem solving ability of TPE's student.
