Abstract

Aim: This research aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety, nutritional status, independence, and Quality of Life (QoL) among the elderly with hypertension treated at the Bukit Hindu Public Health Center in Palangka Raya City. Methodology: This research was a cross-sectional study conducted in the waiting clinic area of the Bukit Hindu Public Health Center in Palangka Raya City. Forty participants were randomly selected for this survey. The chi square test and multiple logistic regression analyses were used to examine the data. Findings: Physical, psychological, social, and environmental domains show no significant relationship between anxiety and QoL in the hypertensive elderly. However, the nu tritional status variable does show a significant relationship between QoL and the hypertensive elderly. When looking at the relationship’s physical, psychological, social, and environmental aspects, the elderly with hypertension who receive care at the Bukit Hindu Public Health Center in Palangka Raya City have a higher QoL when they are more independence-sufficient. To a greater extent than any other factor, the independent variable influences the physical, mental, and social dimensions of older people’s QoL due to hypertension. In contrast, nutritional status is a significant determinant of quality of life (QoL) for the elderly with hypertension in the environmental domain. Implications/Novel Contribution: The findings from this study will contribute knowledge and provide valuable information for future researchers.

Abstract

Aim: The fourth industrial revolution was characterized by the pervasive application of technology in many spheres of daily life, including education. Regarding learning, technology is used to impart new information, not new beliefs or principles. This article investigates the concept of pedagogical learning as a potential alternative approach to learning in the modern era of digital technology. Methodology: The writing method uses a systematic review by drawing on previous research pertaining to 2019-2022. Findings: According to the study’s findings, digital pedagogy is an approach that is not only based on the teacher’s skills in using technology but also on how the teacher, in the role of a facilitator, uses technology to build thinking skills and develop students’ affective aspects. Learning centers on the students, and technology fosters a dynamic learning atmosphere. Learning, which is inquiry-based and requires students to observe and construct the existing reality, is made possible through technology. This will help develop a critical mindset, curiosity, empathy, and the desire to seek solutions to real- world problems; consequently, it will build knowledge and social intelligence. Learning in the digital age can be supplemented with an alternative approach called digital pedagogy. This approach seeks to cultivate young people capable of critical thinking, flexibility, and social intelligence to meet the challenges posed by the industrial revolution 4.0. Implications/Novel Contribution: The discipline of digital pedagogics arose from efforts to assist educators in developing the abilities required to thrive in the twenty-first-century classroom. The teacher’s ability to use technology is merely one component of the digital pedagogical method. This research provides insight into digital learning that will assist practitioners in understanding the value of digital learning and how it can be effectively applied .

Abstract

Aim: Based on Barr’s conceptual paradigm of the welfare state and social justice in the context of education, the study aims to critically examine and highlight the significance of state involvement in primary education sector in case of Lebanon primary education infrastructure. Methodology: This paper adopted methodology to conduct methodical literature review of academic li terature, policy papers, and official reports in the field to partly explore the Lebanese government’s funding program for private education on the principles of efficiency and fairness. Findings: It has been determined that the most effective way to address inefficiency and fairness is for the government to subsidize commercial primary education output. Although the Lebanese government created a system of financing allowances to lessen parents’ financial strain in providing for their children’s education, the subsidy program has not succeeded in ensuring equitable access for the lowest rungs of society because there are still large disparities. In order to ensure more equal access to the funding scheme, the government should substitute the existing subsidy program with an income and needs-based funding allocation program, an example of which can be a constrained voucher scheme. Implications/Novel Contribution: The article provides a critical analysis and economic assessment of the Lebanese government’s primary education financing allotment program’s effectiveness and fairness. For policymakers to genuinely comprehend the issues and make informed decisions, the document offers in-depth knowledge about the subject.
