Abstract

The Buntet Islamic Boarding School has been established since 1750. Currently, the Buntet Islamic Boarding School has expanded promptly in terms of both education and distribution of its location. This development has a multiplier effect on the expansion of other activities, namely the service and trade industry sectors. As a result, there has been a huge increase in waste production in the Islamic boarding school and adjacent areas. Many studies on waste management have been conducted, but trash disposal management is linked to community habits and culture, thus the purpose of this research is to describe the application of waste sorting behaviors in the Buntet Islamic Boarding School region. The approach method used is: by collecting data through surveys and field observations, then analyzing the estimated waste generation at the study location and then analyzing waste selection. The application of voting habits is an innovative finding to be incorporated into the educational curriculum of an Islamic boarding school, so that it can provide a waste solution.

Abstract

Orthopedics implants have become more crucial for bone replacement as the need for bone replacement increases. Titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V is widely used as an orthopedic implant due to its high biocompatibility and superior mechanical properties. However, it has several serious drawbacks, such as low corrosion resistance. In order to overcome this demerit, coatings should be applied. Hydroxyapatite, a mineral similar to bone composition, is a good candidate for this purpose. By compositing hydroxyapatite with graphene, the mechanical properties and adhesion of the coating are enhanced. Various coating methods are employed to fabricate this composite coating. This work summarizes and discusses trends, fabrication techniques, and the future perspectives of hydroxyapatite/graphene as a Ti-6Al-4V implant coating.

Abstract

Geoelectricity is a method in geophysics that studies the nature of electric currents in the earth and how to detect them on the earth's surface. This detection includes measuring potential, current and electromagnetic differences that occur naturally or as a result of injecting current into the earth (Kanata, and Zubaidah., 2008). Azhar and Handayani (2004) have carried out laboratory scale modeling to measure the resistivity of several coal samples from the Air Laya Mine using the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration, with the rationale that the resistivity method has been widely used for various shallow seam exploration purposes. The resistivity method is a geophysical method used to measure the apparent resistivity of a medium. Measurements with the Schlumberger configuration use 4 electrodes, 2 current electrodes and 2 potential electrodes each. From the results of measuring the current and potential difference for each particular electrode distance, variations in the resistance value of each layer below the measuring point (sounding point) can be determined. Based on 1D Geoelectric activities in the investigation area, several conclusions were obtained, as follows. Based on the results of geological mapping in the investigation area, it was found that the rocks scattered in the investigation area were in the form of Volcanic Breccia and Tufa Breccia. Based on the results of field observations, it was found that the physical properties of hot water in the investigation area had a TDS value of 250 ppm, then had a temperature of 54° Celsius and an electrical conductivity of 983 μS/m. Based on the results of the 1D Geoelectric investigation, it was found that there are several interpreted lithologies, namely Top Soil which is at an average depth ranging from 0 meters to 6,598 meters with an average resistivity value of 27.18 ohms, then next is the Volcanic Breccia lithology which is at The average depth ranges from 6,598 meters to 11,461 meters with an average resistivity value of 4.28 ohms, then next is the lithological indication of Tufa Breccia which is at an average depth ranging from 11,561 meters to 18,683 meters with an average resistivity value of 9 .44 ohm and then the lithological indication in the form of sandstone which is at an average depth ranging from 18.683 meters to 27.566 meters with an average resistivity value of 15.83 ohm and an indication of marl lithology at a depth of 27.566 meters to 39.55 meters with a resistance value type of 21.08.

Abstract

Abstract. Pinisi Village and its surroundings are coastal areas that have unique characteristics in terms of accessibility, spatial patterns, and the cultural and social activities of their residents. This study aims to analyze the integration between circulation path elements, spatial patterns, and local culture in order to understand the connection between building mass and open space. The methods used include field observation (field research) to identify the character of the space and social activities, land mapping analysis to examine the relationship between building mass and open space, and literature studies from city planning regulations and related journals. The results of the study show that the circulation paths in this area are dominated by narrow roads that are more suitable for pedestrians and small vehicles, but are still poorly integrated with the main public space. The spatial patterns formed are organic, with an uneven distribution of open space, but remain the center of social activities for the community. The analysis shows that open space plays an important role in maintaining the social life of coastal communities. The conclusion of this study indicates the need for re-planning of circulation paths to improve regional integration and optimize open space to strengthen the social and cultural identity of coastal communities.

Abstract

Abstract. The advancement of artificial intelligence and Natural Language Processing (NLP) has greatly impacted Arabic language communication, facilitating progress in areas such as machine translation, sentiment analysis, speech recognition, and dialect identification. Despite these technological advancements, Arabic continues to pose significant challenges due to its diglossic nature, complex morphology, and extensive dialectal diversity. This study reviews the current state of AI-driven Arabic language technologies, assessing their effectiveness and identifying key gaps, including the scarcity of annotated datasets and insufficient adaptation to dialectal variations. Through qualitative content analysis of recent research and practical applications—ranging from dialectal corpora like MADAR to Arabic-specific models such as AraBERT—this paper highlights the increasing capabilities of AI in addressing Arabic communication tasks. The findings emphasize the need for region-specific linguistic resources, culturally informed AI design, and the ongoing development of dialect-aware NLP systems. Future directions call for a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort to create inclusive, accurate, and adaptable tools for Arabic-speaking communities worldwide.
