Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of zakat, infaq, and sedekah (ZIS) fund distribution at LAZISMU Pamekasan regency and its impact on the empowerment and independence of mustahik. Zakat as an Islamic social financial istrument, plays a strategic role in economic equality and poverty alleviation when managed professionally and accountably. The reseach user a qualitative descriptive approach with field research. Data were collected through indepth interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and interpretative conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of ZIS fund distribution is carried out through three main stages : planning, implementation, and evaluation. The distribution pattern is implemented in two forms, namely consumptive programs and productive programs. Consumptive programs aim to meet the basic needs of mustahik, while productive programs focus on economic empowement through business capital assistance and mentoring. The study condudes that ZIS distribution not only functions as short-term independence of mustahik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Daviena Skincare’s crisis communication response strategies and the construction of online media framing in reporting the product overclaim controversy. Employing a quantitative content analysis approach, this study analyzed 23 online news articles related to the case. Reliability testing was conducted on four news samples, while 19 articles containing explicit responses from Daviena Skincare were selected as the primary units of analysis. The study applies Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) to identify crisis response strategies and media framing analysis to examine how online media constructed the issue. The findings reveal that Daviena Skincare employed multiple crisis response strategies, including denial, attacking the accuser, justification, apology, and compensation. In terms of media framing, the conflict frame appeared as the most dominant narrative, followed by the attribution of responsibility and human-interest frames. The chi-square analysis indicates no significant differences in the distribution of crisis response strategies, suggesting that the company adopted a combination of strategies rather than relying on a single dominant approach. Conversely, media framing patterns were distributed unevenly and concentrated primarily on conflict-oriented narratives. These findings highlight the dynamic interaction between corporate crisis communication strategies and media construction in shaping public perceptions of product credibility and brand reputation during digital-era crises.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the core competencies that needs to be developed in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. However, empirical evidence regarding the relative effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and the Make a Match model in enhancing this ability remains limited. This study aims to compare students’ problem-solving abilities after participating in learning activities using the PBL model and the Make a Match model on the topic of time duration comparison. This research employs a quantitative approach with an Intact Group Comparison design, involving 20 second-grade students from SDN Grogol 2 Jombang, who were divided into two treatment groups. Data were collected through an essay-based test that had been validated and demonstrated high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.968), and were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that the PBL group achieved an average score of 79.3, while the Make a Match group obtained an average score of 82.8. The Independent Samples T-test results show that there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.607). The effect size analysis also reveals a small effect (Hedges’ g = 0.224), indicating that the practical difference between the two instructional models is relatively limited. These findings suggest that both PBL and Make a Match have the potential to support the development of mathematical problem-solving skills through active student engagement in the learning process. Theoretically, the results indicate that student-centered learning characteristics and active interaction may have a greater influence on the development of problem-solving abilities than differences in the instructional models used. Nevertheless, these findings should be interpreted with caution due to the relatively small sample size and the fact that the study was conducted in a single school context.

Abstract

Political campaigns' communication strategies increasingly rely on social media especially in the period leading up to the 2024 General Election, this Political Communication research has had a prominent position in the academic fields of both communication studies and political science. So, this study aims to examine the influence of social media on the formation of public political opinion, particularly in the context of the 2024 General Election in Indonesia. Drawing on the Uses and Gratifications Theory, this research emphasizes the active role of individuals in selecting, engaging with, and responding to political content on social media platforms. A quantitative approach was employed using an online survey distributed to 100 active social media users aged 17–40 years. The study analyzes the effects of Exposure to Political Content (X1), Social Media Interaction (X2), and Content Virality (X3) on Public Political Opinion (Y), with Sentiment (Med1) and Changes in Political Opinion (Med2) as mediating variables. Data were analyzed using multiple regression and mediation analysis. The results indicate that all independent variables have a positive and significant effect on public political opinion. Furthermore, sentiment and changes in political opinion significantly mediate the relationship between social media use and opinion formation. The findings also reveal that visual content, particularly short-form videos and infographics, plays a dominant role in influencing political perspectives, especially among younger users. Although many users do not actively express their opinions, passive exposure to political content still contributes significantly to shaping their political views. That means social media plays a crucial role in shaping public political opinion through both direct and indirect mechanisms, highlighting the importance of user engagement and psychological processes. The findings contribute to the understanding of digital political communication and emphasize the need for improved digital literacy to support a more informed and balanced public discourse.

Abstract

The 110 Call Center Service stands at the frontline of the digital transformation of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in actualizing responsive public services. High operational workloads subject operators to extreme cognitive pressure and psychological vulnerability. This study aims to analyze the workload dynamics and formulate a human resource development strategy through a Learning and Development (L&D) framework for 110 Call Center operators at the Bogor Police Resort (Polres). A qualitative methode with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed using the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results indicate that the heterogeneity of reports requires operators to utilize agile thinking, while exposure to secondary trauma triggers emotional exhaustion. Therefore, there is an urgent need to escalate technical capacities (digital application literacy) and strengthen Psychological Capital. This study recommends an evolution of training towards a Learning Organization via experiential learning (crisis simulation), peer-mentoring, and the integration of Psychological First Aid (PFA). The comprehensive implementation of L&D strategies is believed to accelerate the police's digital transformation, enhance public trust, and realize the paradigm of public service excellence.

Abstract

Rapid and continuous environmental changes have significantly altered the characteristics of work across various sectors. Organizations are no longer solely focused on numerically proven performance but also on contextual performance, specifically adaptive performance. In an era of organizational volatility and uncertainty, this dimension of performance plays a critical role in ensuring institutional survival. Leadership has been identified as a key determinant capable of stimulating both employee performance and well-being. One leadership paradigm deemed highly relevant amidst these dynamics is servant leadership, which positions the leader as a "servant" by prioritizing the needs, growth, and development of subordinates above personal interests. The results of this study that was conducted among Civil Servants (ASN) within the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Service Education, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia indicate that leaders, particularly those who implement servant leadership, have a significant role in the level of adaptive performance demonstrated by their subordinates. By optimizing the correlation between servant leadership and adaptive performance, organizations become better prepared to navigate change.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover the mechanism for strengthening the protection for the Directors of Indonesian State-owned Enterprises through the Business Judgment Rule and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance so that business policies that have been implemented are not interfered with by law enforcers, for the company's going concerns.  A normative judicial research method was conducted with primary source materials, including laws related to BUMN and Limited Liability Companies which serve as the reference for the implementation of the company's goals and objectives for the benefit of society based on professionalism. Secondary materials were also used in the form of textbook publications, journals in the field of corporate governance, and court decisions related to the issues. The study concludes that the Principles of Business Judgment Rule and Good Corporate Governance guidelines are important references that can protect the directors in running the company. Secondly, the meaning of 'State Financial Loss' is not only understood in the context of the provisions of the criminal act of corruption if there is a loss from a transaction carried out by a company. The meaning of loss in a company must also be viewed from an accounting perspective which has a different meaning from the legal perspectives that are universally subject to financial accounting standards.

Abstract

The effectiveness of employee induction programs plays a crucial role in accelerating organizational adaptation, strengthening institutional identity, and improving employee performance. However, existing studies on induction program evaluation have predominantly focused on industrial and private organizational contexts, while comprehensive investigations within the framework of Indonesian State Universities with Legal Entity status (PTN-BH) remain limited. Addressing this research gap, this study aims to analyze the determinants of success in the New Employee Induction Program at Universitas Indonesia (UI) and formulate evidence-based policy recommendations for future program development. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, this study collected quantitative data through surveys involving 30 program alumni consisting of academic and administrative staff, followed by qualitative data collection through in-depth interviews with selected participants and program managers. The evaluation framework adopted Kirkpatrick’s model, focusing on three dimensions: Reaction, Learning, and Behavior. The findings reveal that the induction program achieved a “Good” evaluation category, with an overall mean score of 4.13 out of 5.00. Facilitator competence (4.235) and institutional support (4.310) emerged as the strongest factors contributing to program effectiveness. Nevertheless, the relevance of national awareness materials (3.73) and the transfer of learning among administrative staff (3.95) require further improvement. This study extends the application of Kirkpatrick’s evaluation model in higher education management and provides practical recommendations for developing more adaptive, contextual, and competency-oriented induction programs within PTN-BH institutions.

Abstract

This study analyzes merit system implementation in Bawaslu’s 2024 PPPK recruitment. Prior research on public sector HRM has examined merit compliance primarily at the regulatory and institutional level, leaving underexplored the organizational mechanisms through which large-scale structural mandates, particularly the imperative to absorb non-civil servant workers, interact with and distort selection and placement practices. This study addresses that gap through a qualitative interpretive case study. Data were collected via in-depth interviews with key informants directly involved in HR planning and procurement, supplemented by document analysis and literature review. Findings show that the fixed placement policy, which predetermined each position based on the candidate’s prior non-civil servant role, reduced selection from an evaluative mechanism to an administrative formality, decoupling selection outcomes from placement decisions. Placement accuracy reached only 46.7%, reflecting widespread person–job mismatch. Limited utilization of job analysis (Anjab) and workload analysis (ABK) further degraded placement quality, with organizational consequences including reduced early-stage productivity, heightened supervisory demands, and prolonged adaptation periods. This study contributes to the literature by conceptualizing formal compliance–substantive meritocracy gap as a structural by-product of large-scale non-ASN regularization policy, and by proposing a merit-integrated placement model as a corrective framework.
