Abstract

The sustainability of smallholder dairy farming relies heavily on the adoption of technical standards for milk handling and the well-being of farmers, who act as the primary decision-makers in the field. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing Good Dairy Farming Practices (GDFP) and farmer well-being (economic, psychological, and social) on the financial performance of smallholder dairy businesses. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4 software The analysis results indicate that the model has very strong predictive capability regarding business profit (R² = 90.8%). Based on path coefficients, milk quality emerged as the variable with the most dominant and substantial effect on business profit (p = 0.000), followed by productivity (p = 0.000). Analysis of indirect effects demonstrates that productivity and milk quality serve as full mediators, bridging on-farm GDFP technical practices with financial profit. Meanwhile, farmers' psychological well-being acts as the primary driver of business management discipline (p = 0.000). All hypothesized moderating effects of economic well-being were rejected (p > 0.05), indicating that farmers' operational management capabilities operate independently of their personal financial stability. Dairy cooperatives are advised to tighten milk quality testing systems at collection points. Furthermore, they should provide high-quality teat dip solutions, stainless steel milking buckets, and sterile milk cans to minimize bacterial contamination. The government should prioritize management literacy training programs, interactive technical guidance, and group mentoring initiatives designed to boost farmers' motivation and mental welfare (psychological welfare).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of applying time management techniques in self-directed mathematics learning. A quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design was employed. The subjects were 60 seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Bilah Barat, divided into an experimental group (n=30) receiving the Pomodoro technique intervention and a control group (n=30) engaging in conventional self-study. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, a time management habits questionnaire, and learning logs. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and an Independent Sample T-Test at a 5% significance level. Results revealed that the experimental group's post-test mean (84.17) was significantly higher than the control group's (72.30) with t = 6.971 and p = 0.000. The mean N-Gain of the experimental group was 0.62 (moderate category) and the control group 0.34 (moderate category), indicating a greater improvement in the experimental group. Most students (86.7%) fell into the high and very high categories in applying time management techniques. Thus, the application of time management techniques proved effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in a self-directed learning context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Sukidi's approach in maintaining constituent support as a member of the Tebo Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD Tebo) for three consecutive periods (2009-2024), representing Electoral District 3 of Tebo Regency (Rimbo Bujang-Rimbo Ulu). A qualitative method was employed, with informants selected through purposive sampling. The findings show that Sukidi maintained constituent support not only through a social approach but also through an economic approach. Given that contemporary society increasingly measures relationships in nominal terms, legislative candidates and members are required to remain active and responsive to community aspirations and needs. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Sukidi's strategy in sustaining constituent support combines both social and economic approaches. Several inhibiting factors were also identified, including internal party obstacles, internal competition within villages or the electoral district, and funding limitations. The initiatives undertaken have generated positive insights and impacts for the community, particularly in Purwoharjo Village, although the outcomes are not yet fully optimal and certain shortcomings remain. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of constituency maintenance strategies employed by incumbent legislators in local politics.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a key factor in improving the quality of education, influenced by principal leadership, work environment, and supervision. This study aimed to identify the influence of principals' instructional leadership, work environment, and managerial supervision on elementary school teachers' performance in North Bontang District, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative explanatory research design with a survey method and causal-correlational nature was employed. The population consisted of 239 public elementary school teachers, and total sampling was applied so that the entire population served as respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS after prerequisite tests were satisfied. The results showed that: (1) instructional leadership significantly influenced teacher performance (t = 22.285; Sig. = 0.000); (2) work environment significantly influenced teacher performance (t = 13.863; Sig. = 0.000); (3) managerial supervision significantly influenced teacher performance (t = 13.946; Sig. = 0.000); and (4) all three variables simultaneously influenced teacher performance (F = 965.942; Sig. = 0.000; R² = 0.925). All hypotheses were accepted, confirming that the three variables play important roles in improving elementary school teachers' performance in the post-pandemic period.

Abstract

This research aims to comprehensively elaborate on the significant contributions of Muslim scientists to the development of science during the Islamic golden age and analyze its relevance to contemporary modern civilization. The background of this study is rooted in the existence of a fairly deep historical bias in the historical narrative of global science, which often ignores the phase of intellectual transmission of the Islamic world and jumps directly from the period of ancient Greece to the Renaissance era in Western Europe. The research method used in this article is qualitative descriptive based on library research by analyzing in depth fifteen reputable and relevant scientific journals. The results show that (1) Muslim scientists not only acted as translators of ancient classical texts, but also as major innovators, (2) true experimentalists, and (3) laid the foundations of modern scientific methodology in various crucial fields such as mathematics, medical science, astronomy, chemistry, pharmacy, and philosophy. The findings of this scientific article indicate that the integration of classical Islamic scientific traditions into modern educational curricula is able to substantively revitalize students' motivation to learn science and strengthen the morality-based character of spirituality in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of multicultural values in Akidah Akhlak learning and examine the process of fostering students’ tolerance at Madrasah Aliyah Nurut Tauhid Lumajang. A qualitative case study approach was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, an Akidah Akhlak teacher, and Grade X and XI students. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that multicultural values were integrated through three dimensions: learning content, learning methods, and the school environment. Teachers connected the topic of Asmaul Husna, particularly the attributes Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim, with compassion, respect, and appreciation for diversity. Collaborative discussions and question-and-answer activities encouraged interaction among students from different ethnic and regional backgrounds. In addition, the school’s policy of using Indonesian as the common language promoted inclusive communication. Tolerance was cultivated through classroom instruction, teacher role modeling, and participatory learning, reflecting Thomas Lickona’s framework of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The study concludes that Akidah Akhlak learning effectively promotes tolerance, inclusiveness, and social awareness, contributing to character development and harmonious coexistence within Indonesia’s multicultural society.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of job satisfaction on staff performance in the Food Preparation Department of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. Using a quantitative associative-causal design, data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires from 105 employees selected by simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The instruments were valid (r-count > 0.361) and reliable, with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.922 for job satisfaction and 0.959 for performance. Descriptive analysis showed that both job satisfaction (mean = 3.47) and staff performance (mean = 3.46) were categorized as good. Regression analysis produced the equation Y = 4.625 + 0.862X, with a t-value of 13.712 (Sig. = 0.000), indicating that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on staff performance. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.646) indicates that job satisfaction explains 64.6% of the variance in staff performance. These findings highlight the importance of fair compensation, transparent promotion, and supervisory support to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study is intended to examine the effects of service quality and brand image on repurchase intention through guest satisfaction serving as a mediating variable among guests of Daima Gardenstay Padang. The study is motivated by a relatively high occupancy rate that is not matched by an adequate repeat guest percentage, along with online reviews that continue to highlight several service and facility aspects. A quantitative causal-associative approach was employed using a survey method. Purposive sampling was applied to select the study sample, yielding 160 respondents who had previously stayed at Daima Gardenstay Padang. Data were gathered through a 1-5 Likert-scale questionnaire and subsequently analyzed using two multiple linear regression models and the Sobel test to assess the mediating role of guest satisfaction. The findings revealed that service quality and brand image each exerted positive and significant effects on both guest satisfaction and repurchase intention. Guest satisfaction likewise had a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, while the three variables simultaneously exerted a significant effect on repurchase intention (F = 51.509; R² = 0.498). The Sobel test results demonstrated that the effects of service quality (z = 3.446) and brand image (z = 3.645) on repurchase intention were partially mediated by guest satisfaction. These findings indicate that improving repurchase intention requires simultaneously strengthening service quality and brand image, with guest satisfaction serving as the key link between service experience and repurchase behavior
