Abstract

Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a neurologic disease affecting hands, which is closely related to work, and is the most prevalent nerve compression disease. The incidence of CTS quite often occur in people working with their hands, for instance the administrative staff, especially in a busy workplace such as Dr.Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung. CTS causes reduction in work productivity, and consequently degrading family welfare and the quality of public service. For that very reason, the prevalence and characteristics of CTS among administrative staff at Dr.HasanSadikin General Hospital Bandung needed to be revealed.Methods: This quantitative descriptive study involved 94 administrative staff in the Medical record department of Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital using the Carpal-tunnel.net questionnaire and further examinations by neurologists. Variables involved in this study were the subject characteristics.Results: Out of the 90 subjects, 22 stated having symptoms related to CTS (prevalence, 24.4%). On further clinical examination, 3 were diagnosed of suffering from CTS (prevalence, 3.3%).Conclusions: Carpal tunnel syndrome is found among the administrative staff at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung  and the prevalence is lower than in the general population. A further study is required to reveal ther specific division in the hospital with the most prevalent CTS case.DOI: 10.15850/amj.v4n2.1077

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and understand the variables that can influence to purchasing decision through promotion, brand awareness, and choosing distribution channel on consumers of headache medicine of Paramex in retail stores in Duren Jaya area of Eastern Bekasi district. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 75 respondents of Alfamarts and Indomarets loyal customers. Data analysis method used in this research is using SPSS version 22 which include validity, reliability, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, multiple regression, F test, and t-test, and also determination coefficient (R2) analysis. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know Agricultural counselor effort to convince farmer group in applying drip irrigation technology in Regency of Banyuasin And the obstacles of farmer in applying drip irrigation technology in Regency of Banyuasin. This research was conducted in the Budi Mulya Village of the district Air Kumbang Banyuasin Regency. In March until May 2017. The research method used is case study method. The sampling method that used in this research are purposive sampling and systematic sampling. Data methods of collection used in this study are observation and interviews directly to the respondents who have been determined using the tools of quisionary aids that have been prepared previously and documentation and secondary data. Data processing is done using descriptive-qualitative method. The results of the study showed that the efforts of Agricultural counselor in applying drip irrigation technology include: drip irrigation technology socialization, selection of extension method, the procedures for the use of drip irrigation, the application of drip irrigation. And obstacles faced by farmers in the process of applying drip irrigation technology is a problem: capital for the purchase of equipment for drip irrigation such as drip hoses and Water source caused the dry season farmers getting difficulty water supply to watering and fertilizing plants.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PkM) here aim to provide education, knowledge, information and understanding to the wider community. Especially for elementary school students who live in Muara Bakti Village, Bekasi Regency, to foster interest in reading, reading habits, and stretching to read actively through the Village Library. The activity method used in implementing PKM activities here is to provide counseling to the Muara Bakti 01 Babelan-Bekasi State Elementary School, to explain the importance of fostering reading interest, reading habits, and stretching to read diligently. This of course aims to improve class achievement. This activity involves lecturers and students from various faculties in the Bhayangkara University Jakarta Raya environment. Keywords: Habits, Libraries, Reading Interest, Stretching Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) disini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi, pengetahuan, informasi, dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat luas. Terutama bagi siswa dan siswi sekolah dasar yang berdomisili di Desa Muara Bakti Kabupaten Bekasi untuk menumbuhkan minat baca, kebiasaan membaca, dan geliat untuk giat membaca melalui Perpustakaan Desa. Metode kegiatan yang dipergunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM disini adalah dengan melakukan penyuluhan ke sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri Muara Bakti 01 Babelan-Bekasi, untuk menjelaskan tentang pentingnya menumbuhkan minat baca, kebiasaan membaca, dan geliat untuk rajin membaca. Hal ini tentunya bertujuan agar dapat meningkatkan prestasi di kelas. Abstract

Pemahaman akan penyakit saluran kemih masih rendah. Banyak sekali masyarakat yang masih mengandalkan keahlian dari pakar secara manual, sehingga banyak sekali masyarakat umum yang mengeluarkan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kebutuhan akan adanya alat bantu bagi masyarakat pengguna dalam mendiagnosa penyakit saluran kemih pada manusia. Alat bantu tersebut berupa sistem pakar, untuk mendiagnosa dan juga cara pengobatannya. Aplikasi sistem pakar ini menghasilkan keluaran berupa program aplikasi yang dapat dignakan untuk mendiagnosa kemungkinan penyakit saluran kemih pada tubuh manusia berdasarkan gejala yang diinputkan oleh User. Sistem ini menggunakan konsep Certainty Factor (CF), Sistem akan mencari nilai CF tertinggi, dari berbagai kemungkinan jenis penyakit berdasarkan gejala yang dimasukkan user dan hasilnya ditampilkan kepada user. Pengujian sistem menunjukan bahwa sistem mampu melakukan diagnose penyakit salura kemih berdasarkan gejala yang diderita oleh pasien meskipun gejala-gejaln tersebut mengandung ketidakpastian. Hasil diagnosa disertai dengan nilai Certainty Factor yang menunjukan tingkat kebenaran, keakuratan, dan kepastian dari kemungkinan Penyakit Saluran Kemih pada manusia, disertai cara pengobatannya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine that the application of inventopy accounting information systems can assist in supporting the operations management and decision-making on purchase of the CV Lufitech Indonesia. The study authors used the data card Stock is the raw material inventory in CV Lufitech Indonesia in Januan.' and ending in February 2014. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative authors, by analyzing the data obtained from the questions and the data provided by the company through observation and interviews. The results of the study on CV Lufitech Indonesia concluded that the inventory accounting information systems are Still manual recording, do not have a specific system in inputting inventory on the company, leading to a purchase decision is not necessarily. Application of inventory accounting system is Still very minimal and voy influential ifapplied to support the purchase order control. Abstract

Pengujian sistem menunjukan bahwa sistem mampumelakukan diagnose penyakit saluran kemih berdasarkan gejala yang diderita oleh pasien meskipun gejala-gejalntersebut mengandung ketidakpastian.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate two main aspects in Padang Gelugur Subdistrict, Pasaman Regency: first, the change in paddy field area into fish ponds from 2017 to 2022; second, to analyze the factors influencing this land conversion. The research method used is a mixed methods approach, which integrates quantitative and qualitative data to answer research questions related to behavior, social, and health aspects. The research results indicate that during the period from 2017 to 2022, approximately 144 hectares of paddy fields were converted into fish ponds. The main factors driving the community to undertake this land conversion include the significant income difference between paddy harvests and fish ponds, with income from fish ponds tending to be higher. Additionally, educational factors and weather conditions also play a significant role, particularly as Padang Gelugur Subdistrict frequently experiences high rainfall intensity, which can lead to flooding and crop failure.

Abstract

This study analyzes the political process of bureaucratic reform of the Bandung city local government in 2015.  This research based on bureaucratic reform in the Bandung City government has received an excellent predicate from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform. This is due to the similarity ofperceptions between the Bandung City government and the DPRD.  This study aims to explore the political process built by the Bandung City government and the DPRD in developing the city of Bandung through bureaucratic reform. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method. The result of this study is that Ridwan Kamil as the Mayor of Bandung has a strong desire to make significant changes through a digitalization-based government performance system. Obviously to achieve such targets requires the support of politicians and elements of society. Therefore, the executive and the DPRD along with the SKPD and community elements sat together in the discussion of the bureaucratic reform. In the end, the move received mutual approval.
