Abstract

Modernization brings new challenges to the world of education, particularly in relation to strengthening Islamic values in students. Schools are required to provide a learning process that focuses not only on cognitive aspects, but also on shaping Islamic character, which is reflected in environmental awareness, discipline, and responsibility. The Adiwiyata program is one of the strategic media that can be used to instill Islamic character values through structured and continuous activities. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in integrating Islamic character education through the Adiwiyata Program: A Case Study at MTsN 16 Jombang. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers play a role as role models (uswah hasanah), mentors and guides, motivators, as well as supervisors and enforcers of rules in instilling Islamic character in students. In addition, the integration of Islamic character in the Adiwiyata program is realized through general programs integrated into learning and special programs consisting of six POKJA (Working Group) components. All of these activities shape students' Islamic behavior habits, such as maintaining cleanliness, being responsible, conserving energy, and caring for the environment.

Abstract

The fashion industry, driven by fast fashion practices, significantly contributes to textile waste, highlighting the need for sustainable approaches within fashion education. This study examines the feasibility of the KONKA sustainable ready-to-wear collection as a design-based learning medium for embedding sustainability values in fashion education. The KONKA collection applies upcycling techniques by transforming two discarded shirts into a single skirt design, with the traditional game of congklak serving as the primary source of design inspiration. A descriptive, quantitative method was employed, utilizing a percentage-based feasibility assessment. Data were collected through a design feasibility instrument and evaluated by three fashion design experts, focusing on color, design lines, silhouette, proportional balance, and center of interest. The results show that the KONKA design achieved a feasibility score of 95.6%, categorized as highly feasible. These findings suggest that upcycling-based ready-to-wear design can serve as an effective pedagogical medium for embedding sustainability values, resulting in designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally practical, as well as culturally meaningful. This study supports Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in fashion education, offering insights for curriculum development and sustainable fashion practices.

Abstract

Skin conditions are among the most frequent reasons for veterinary visits, yet they remain notoriously difficult to distinguish by eye alone. For the average pet owner or general practitioner, overlapping visual symptoms between diseases like ringworm and scabies often lead to diagnostic uncertainty. This study addresses this challenge by developing an automated classification system based on the MobileNetV2 architecture. By employing a two-stage transfer learning strategy, where initial feature extraction is followed by targeted fine-tuning of layers from index 100 onwards, we adapted a general-purpose model to the specific nuances of veterinary dermatology. Our results indicate a significant performance leap: while standard training struggled with the complexities of skin textures, the fine-tuned model achieved a validation accuracy of 92%. These findings suggest that fine-tuning is not just a technical optimization, but a necessary step in making deep learning a viable, accessible tool for real-world veterinary diagnostics.
