Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often considered difficult and uninteresting by students, resulting in low motivation and learning outcomes. To overcome this problem, gamification comes as one of the innovative approaches in learning by integrating game elements such as points, levels, challenges, and rewards into the learning process. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of gamification in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature analyzed was sourced from various scientific publications, including journals and conference proceedings published between 2015 and 2025, using databases such as Google Scholar, Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex. The study’s findings indicate that the implementation of gamification, through platforms like Wordwall, Quizizz, Kahoot, and other educational games, has been proven to enhance conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and active student participation in mathematics education. However, the success of gamification implementation is influenced by infrastructure readiness, teachers' digital skills, and appropriate instructional design. Thus, gamification has great potential as a long-term learning strategy that can make math more fun and meaningful for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between authoritarian parenting and child development among families in Semarang, Indonesia. Using a cross-sectional quantitative approach, 60 parents of children aged 3–7 years were surveyed through a Likert-scale questionnaire grounded in Baumrind’s parenting style theory and Erikson’s psychosocial development stages. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation. Findings revealed a very weak negative correlation (r = -0.007, p > 0.05), suggesting no statistically significant relationship between authoritarian parenting and child development in the studied context. These results highlight that child development is more strongly influenced by external factors such as extended family support, socioeconomic conditions, and cultural values. This study contributes to the global debate on parenting by emphasizing the contextual and cultural variability of authoritarian parenting effects. Practical implications suggest that interventions to enhance child development should adopt a holistic and ecosystem-based approach, involving parents, schools, and communities rather than focusing solely on parenting style.

Abstract

This study maps the scholarly landscape of civic literacy through an integrated systematic review and bibliometric analysis. Using Scopus (search date: September, 16, 2025; coverage 1980–2025), we screened records via PRISMA and analyzed the final corpus with VOSviewer to identify publication trends, collaboration networks, and keyword co-occurrences. Results show a pronounced growth of civic literacy publications since the late 2000s, with the United States as the dominant contributor and Indonesia emerging as a notable node. Co-occurrence analysis reveals four interconnected clusters: (1) schooling and digital engagement (citizenship education, social media, misinformation); (2) democratic concerns and global issues; (3) public health and gender; and (4) creative/arts-based education. Collaboration networks remain relatively sparse, indicating opportunities to strengthen cross-national partnerships and diversify methodological approaches. The review highlights civic literacy as a transdisciplinary construct that links political knowledge, digital/media competencies, and participatory practices, and underscores the implications for curriculum design, teacher education, and policy, particullary the integration of digital literacy to meet the challenges of Society 5.0. We conclude that future research should deepen interdisciplinary integration, expand international collaboration, and develop context-responsive models for civic literacy in schools and communities.

Abstract

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in male worldwide. Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) offers cancer treatment with minimum side effects. BNCT is radiation therapy that uses the 10B isotope and neutron beams which can selectively destroy tumor cells. The resulting radiation dose cannot be measured directly, so a computational method is needed to calculate the dose. The aim of this research is to determine the effective boron concentration, determine the optimal direction of irradiation, and determine the duration of irradiation time at an effective boron concentration for BNCT of prostate cancer. The computational method used is the Monte Carlo method with PHITS Version 3.32 software. The phantom used is an adult male ORNL phantom. The type of prostate cancer modeled is adenocarcinoma with an intermediate risk group. The neutron source is a 30 MeV cyclotron. Variations in 10B concentrations used were 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, and 150 µg/g boron/cancer tissue. The variations in direction used are: anterior-posterior, lateral-anterior oblique, and left-lateral. This study yield that the effective boron concentration used for BNCT in prostate cancer is 150 µg/g boron/cancer tissue. The most optimal radiation direction for BNCT of prostate cancer is the anterior-posterior direction. The duration of irradiation time required for a boron concentration of 150 µg/g boron/cancer tissue is 1 hour 16 minutes 10 seconds.
