Abstract

Fajar English Course as one of the course institutions in the English village of Pare has had difficulties in improving the teaching abilities of its tutors. This is because the tutor recruitment system focuses more on alumni of the course institution and those who will still be living in Pare for a long time. So Fajar English Course collaborates with the Community Service team from the English Education Department at Hasyim Asy'ari University to conduct training on teaching strategies using Bingo Review and making teaching materials using the Bingo Review method. After two days of training, the Fajar English Course tutors were able to practice teaching with Bingo Review in speaking, grammar and vocabulary well in microteaching. Apart from that, they are also able to make good teaching materials for speaking, grammar and vocabulary using the Bingo review method. Teaching method training is really needed by Fajar English Course tutors to improve the quality of their teaching. To create a pleasant learning atmosphere, it is highly recommended that English teachers or tutors implement Bingo Review in their respective classes

Abstract

Motivation is a driving force, directing and strengthening a person's behavior in carrying out certain actions. Meanwhile, learning is interpreted as a process characterized by changes in a person's disposition or capabilities. In principle, learning is a student's task, but in fact, not all students have strong motivation and commitment to learning to achieve optimal results. Especially during adolescence, when adapting to physical changes which are also influenced by hormonal, cognitive and emotional changes, students are required to be stable so that they do not experience significant obstacles. This research uses a qualitative approach. The results obtained from individual counseling carried out in four stages starting from identification to evaluation, show that the subject has a below average intellectual capacity so it takes time to capture and manage diverse information. Individuals who do not open up easily, have low self-confidence and a self-concept that has not yet fully formed their own existence can be fundamental things that hinder their motivation to learn. The results of this research are important, as an alternative medium for handling student problems so that you can understand student profiles more deeply.

Abstract

In response to the challenges that arise in managing religious communities, this research investigates and analyzes various approaches to managing conflict in mosque youth. This research uses a holistic approach to identify important phases in conflict management, starting from initial identification, open discussion, to mediation and negotiation. The main focus of research is training in mediation skills, the application of effective communication methods, and an in-depth understanding of the main causes of conflict. This research found that to achieve sustainability and harmony in mosque youth management, a sustainable conflict management strategy, which includes implementation of agreements, regular monitoring, and continuous evaluation, is necessary. This research increases understanding of how religious communities can effectively handle conflict to build a solid foundation for continued growth and sustainability. Abstract

The purpose of sharia business practices is to improve the quality of human resources for MSMEs and students with MSME digital marketing assistance in Kediri City, precisely on 55 mushroom chips and ensure business continuity. These activities are able to increase sales and profits, expand target markets, deep customer loyalty, and increased competitive advantage. The benefits obtained from this activity are for participants to gain knowledge and expertise in digital marketing with the aim of increasing production activities and product promotion. Increased product orders from a wider target market will also be obtained. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR). The results of the dedication can be concluded that this digital marketing is carried out so that 55 mushroom chip consumers increase and expand from various regions.  Assistance in digital marketing uses social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram which will be filled with photos and videos of content from 55 mushroom chip products. Photos and videos of this content are in the form of the types of products provided by 55 mushroom chips, the process of making products, packing, and shipping the resulting products, and 55 mushroom chip profiles. Photos and videos of content are published on WhatsApp, Instagram social media accounts.

Abstract

Historically, transactions were initially carried out directly or face to face, now they have changed to via the internet or online transactions. With the convenience of the internet, business people no longer experience difficulties in obtaining any information to support their business activities. E-commerce is a product marketing media with an electronic system that brings together many sellers and buyers who transact with each other. Currently, the growth of e-commerce is showing an increase because people's style is starting to slowly shift from initially shopping offline to tending to shop online. Therefore, it can be an opportunity for Madu Masriana MSME owners to participate in marketing their products in one of the e-commerce sites, namely Shopee, as an effort to increase sales of their products. Based on the explanation above, this research aims to utilize Shopee media to increase sales of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Madu Masriana. The method used in this service is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. The success rate of this discount technique increased by 5%. The increase figure is still relatively small because the evaluation period was only carried out for a short time, namely around 20 days. It is hoped that after this service, the use of sales on Shopee media can continue to increase.

Abstract

Conventional English learning models often emphasize learning on explicit English grammar mastery and the learning process is dominated by the teacher. This happens to English language education students carrying out teaching practice at schools so that the target of learning English at the schools is not achieved optimally. Therefore, the PkM team, which is a collaborative team from Universitas Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng Jombang and UIN Salatiga, agreed that students who will carry out teaching practice in schools need to be given training on a humanistic approach in learning English. Participants in this online training were 53 English language education students from two private universities in East Java and one state university in Central Java. This training was carried out for a week online, consisting of material presentations and assistance in making lesson plans based on a humanistic approach. After attending this training, students are increasingly able to understand how to teach in English classes. Students' understanding of the humanistic approach has increased and their lesson plans have also implemented a humanistic approach. In general, this training really needs to be provided as a provision for English language education students in carrying out teaching practices at schools.

Abstract

Technology skill is needed very much especially for intergrating technology in  teaching and learning. However, PKM team found that the technology skills of the teachers of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Asy’ari Keras are still less. Their teaching and learning focuses on boards and papers so that the students feel bored. These problems inspire PKM team of English Language Education Department of UHASY to carry out training on teaching and learning through microsoft office 365 in that school. This training is to add the technology skill of the teachers in order to be applied in their class to make their teaching becomes more interesting and challenging. Meanwhile, the method of this PKM is by doing training for 33 hours, 18 hours of offline and online for 15 hours. After two days of offline training, it can be known that the teachers of MA get new knowledge about microsft office 365 and 37% of them (10 young teachers) can operate office 365 well based on the observation result of PKM team.  These ten young teachers are also active in online training. In deed, the training of teaching and learning through office 365 helps the teachers when they cannot come to teach at school.

Abstract

This research aims to increase additional income through empowering catfish cultivation groups in Mojo District, Kediri Regency. Mojo District has great potential with green land, fertile soil and abundant water availability. The catfish farming group in Ngadi Village, which consists of six members, has been established since 2010. Even though the group members have permanent jobs as farmers and traders, the income they earn is not sufficient for their needs. Community empowerment through catfish cultivation is expected to increase the income of group members. Catfish was chosen because it has high economic value and large market demand. Apart from that, cultivating catfish can improve people's skills, knowledge and health. The method used in this research is qualitative with observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research was conducted in Mojo District, Kediri Regency, in October 2024. The results of the research show that catfish cultivation can increase the income of group members, make a positive contribution to the welfare and independence of the community, as well as make optimal and sustainable use of natural resources. The importance of the results of this research is that it provides useful recommendations for the development of catfish cultivation businesses and community empowerment in Mojo District, as well as showing how utilizing empty land can be a solution to meet economic needs.

Abstract

Improving reading literacy is an important priority in the development of quality human resources. Muneng Village, Purwoasri Sub-district, Kediri District, faces challenges in improving reading literacy among Alpha Generation children. Data from the Kediri District Education Office in 2023 shows that the village's reading literacy rate is 58%, far below the national average of 75%. One of the main factors influencing the low interest in reading is the excessive use of gadgets, which distracts children from reading books. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) reading literacy mentoring program was implemented to address this problem. The program involves the local community, especially TPQ institutions in Muneng Village, and uses an Active Learning approach to increase children's interest and reading skills. Through interactive activities such as group discussions and role plays, as well as the provision of age-appropriate reading books, the program aims to foster positive reading habits. The results of the program implementation showed an increase in children's interest in reading and literacy skills. The program succeeded in fostering early interest in reading, broadening children's horizons and knowledge, and improving their critical thinking skills and vocabulary. The program made a positive contribution to improving the quality of education in Muneng village and building a sustainable literacy culture. Recommendations for the development of this program include expanding community involvement and adjusting to local needs for more optimal results.

Abstract

Education in kindergarten is an important foundation in shaping children's character, including instilling the values of religious tolerance and moderation. This article reviews the implementation of religious moderation in a kindergarten where the majority of students are Muslim with a Christian minority in Bogokidul Village. The methods applied include various approaches such as multicultural picture stories, collaborative games, togetherness songs, and artistic creativity sessions. Through this approach, children are invited to understand and appreciate differences from an early age, with the hope of preventing the development of intolerant and radical attitudes in the future. The results of this implementation show that children are starting to understand the importance of mutual respect and cooperation regardless of religious differences. This article concludes that religious moderation can be taught effectively through simple and enjoyable methods, adapted to children's ages. This kind of education is important as a first step in creating a generation that is tolerant and able to live in diversity. Therefore, it is important for educators to integrate the values of religious moderation in the curriculum from an early age as an effort to prevent radicalism and intolerance.
