Abstract

Even though the COVID-19  pandemic has not ended, signs of improvement have been felt by many people. This is an opportunity and opportunity to improve due to problems that have hindered, including the education sector. There needs to be a further intervention related to the education sector, especially in the leadership aspect of the educational institution. This research aims to explore the leadership of school principals after the COVID-19  pandemic, especially in vocational high schools. With a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observation and literature view, at the Diponegoro Depok Vocational School, it was found that several roles had been carried out by the principal. As for the roles that can be seen from the aspect of supervision and managerial. In addition, in general, the principal can act as a facilitator, motivator, mentor, consultant, communicator, counselor, leader, innovator and is responsible for achieving educational goals. With the many roles that can be given by the principal, of course the hope is to advance education in Indonesia in general. With guarantees, they must be able to face increasingly complicated challenges, for example in developing an education system that is adaptive and able to adapt to the times.

Abstract

Education in the current era is often referred to as modern education. This means that education cannot be separated from the role of information and communication technology. Meanwhile, if you look at the current situation and conditions of Indonesia, it is being attacked by an epidemic which is affecting several aspects of life. One of them is in the educational aspect. The presence of this epidemic seems to give us "shock therapy" from the beginning we could carry out our activities easily, but now everything is restricted. The teaching and learning process also experienced a transformation. Initially students studied face to face, now they have changed online or online. The online learning process certainly creates certain challenges, not only for students or teachers but also for parents. Especially for students who live in remote areas with minimal infrastructure. With the presence of these challenges, Indonesian people are required to play a role in helping to minimize this problem, especially the younger generation. One thing that can be done is to participate in the Teach From Home volunteer program. This research examines the concepts promoted in the Teaching From Home volunteer program, what its role is in alleviating online learning problems, and how effective this program is in welcoming education in the 5.0 era. Meanwhile, the subjects of this research were elementary school/equivalent students who were affected by Covid-19. Thus, this research will be useful for teachers or educators so that they get an idea of ​​preparing for the presence of education in the 5.0 era. This research uses qualitative research methods.

Abstract

Almost all parts of the world are currently being hit by the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) which has a profound impact in the field of education is to change the process of face-to-face learning in schools to become online learning. As the main practitioner of guidance and counseling services, they must also keep up with industry developments into the Society 5.0 era. The implementation of long distance counseling can be done using Cyber Counseling techniques. As for this scientific paper, the authors use the literature review method and the Research and Development (RnD) model with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) and SWOT analysis to assist in providing an interpretation of the ideas and ideas that have been planned. Therefore, the purpose of writing this scientific paper is to find out the concepts, principles, and effectiveness of Society 5.0, Cyber Counseling, Comprehensive Counseling, and Academic Planning for Students. It is hoped that the INVALOR application can be useful for guidance and counseling services in a more advanced era in preparing superior and competent Indonesian students, as well as mastering the skills needed in this 5.0 society era so that students have a competitive spirit to survive and compete globally.

Abstract

Technology in the field of communication that is the result of the times is the smartphone. Indonesian people have the potential to be addicted to smartphones, especially among teenagers. Addiction to smartphones certainly has many negative impacts, one of which is that people become apathetic, people become less concerned about their surroundings because they are more focused on smartphones. The purpose of this study is to obtain an analysis of the conditions in reducing smartphone addiction in educational activities. Guidance and counseling teachers or counselors (Counselors) have a role to provide guidance and counseling services. One of the services that can be provided to reduce smartphones is content mastery services with a behavioral contract approach model. The research findings reveal that in reducing smartphone addiction behavior through the behavior contract model, individuals can control themselves more and be wise in using their smartphones.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of podcast in improving students’ interest in learning English. The method is quantitative method, and the design is quasi-experimental. Population of the research is the VII grade of SMP Bumi Cendekia that consists of 43 students. The research used purposive sampling because those classes almost have similar ability in English. VII B as the control class and VII A as the experimental class. The instrument of this research is interest in learning English and it was conducted before and after using the treatment. The result of the data was analyzed using SPSS25. The mean score of control class post-test is 48.86 and the mean score of experimental class posttest is 52.29 Therefore, the result is 3.380>2.020. The meaning is that to > ta (t observation is higher than ta t-table). That means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the data above, the results shows there is an effectiveness of podcast in improving students’ interest in learning English.

Abstract

The existence of the affective realm is a challenge in the implementation of the character-based 2013 Curriculum, which in practice is not optimal due to the assessment instruments that are not yet standard and the limitations of teachers in conducting comprehensive affective assessments. This research aims to develop mutabaah books as a tool for teachers to complete the assessment of students' spiritual and social attitudes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) grade VIII at SMP N 1 Bantul. The method used is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model from Dick and Carey, involving interviews, observations, and questionnaires as data collection techniques, as well as qualitative-to-quantitative analysis. The product of this study was validated with a result of 87.5% in the "valid" category and an effectiveness of 85.5%, classified as "very effective". This mutabaah book is expected to increase the achievement of the affective realm in a structured manner in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

The Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement is a forum for effective character development in the school environment, which consists of Muhammadiyah cadres who are trained to carry out the preaching of ar maruf and nahi munkar. This article explains that there is an interesting policy at SD Muhammadiyah Kleco Kotagede Yogyakarta which may not be found in other schools, namely the Hizbul Wathan uniform policy of wearing full attributes from morning/entering school until leaving school/after the HW extracurricular is finished. This journal uses a type of qualitative research, namely this research uses a literature study method, namely research by reviewing various literature studies that are relevant to the research topic. Students are able to learn lessons about discipline, a sense of responsibility, and a sense of not complaining through small things. By getting used to these things, students will be more appreciative of all the rules that apply in the environment around them

Abstract

The dormitory administrators' concerns about the cleanliness of the dormitory, which is not clean, can cause the spread of disease. This study aims to examine how the management of the dormitory duty policy implemented at Madrasah Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta can improve the discipline of students. This study uses a qualitative method with a field research type. The data obtained came from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the dormitory duty policy can improve the discipline of students. In addition, the impact of the policy is also able to make all parties in the dormitory submit and comply with its policies. The dormitory administrators can improve their skills in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. While the students who improve their discipline, character, responsibility, moral attitude, and skills. With the presence of this dormitory duty, the dormitory becomes clean, and the scabies suffered by the students are reduced.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the policy of providing sanctions for students who are late in coming to the mosque at the Darussalam Pesantren Perfect Bin Baz 9 Musi Rawas Branch, as well as analyzing the impact of implementing sanctions on the discipline and quality of the students' worship. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that giving sanctions in the form of prayers in the first row for students who are late is effective in increasing students' discipline and obedience in carrying out worship. It is also hoped that this policy can provide guidance to students to value time more and prioritize worship. This research provides recommendations for improving and developing discipline policies in Islamic boarding schools to create a more orderly and orderly environment.

Abstract

Awareness of caring for the environment, especially for classroom cleanliness, is still a common problem in the school environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the character of the social soul and responsibility of students through class cleanliness pickets at MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. This research method uses descriptive-qualitative with field research types. The data collection techniques use observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that class cleanliness picket activities at MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta can foster moral character values in students. These character values are such as a high social soul and responsibility. In addition, attitudes of discipline, cooperation, independence, and collaboration between students are also embedded in class cleanliness picket activities. So that class cleanliness pickets become something important for the lives of students in the future. This can happen because instilling student character is not only an activity that is routinely carried out every day but is able to build a more complex character of students, especially in the character of the social soul and responsibility of students.
