Abstract

Researchers try to examine whether there is a real influence on the level of independence of children aged 7-9 years in Sruni Village, Sidoarjo Regency based on parenting patterns of working and non-working parents. Researchers hypothesize that parenting and non-working parents have a positive impact on the level of independence of children aged 7-9 years in Sruni Village, Sidoarjo Regency. A causal comparative quantitative approach was used to collect data through questionnaires distributed to relevant respondents via Google Form. The study population consisted of working and non-working parents with children aged 7-9 years in Sruni Village, Sidoarjo District. In this study, the data were sorted with Mircrosoft Excel, and processed with SPSS 22 with T test.The results showed that parenting of non-working parents did not have a positive effect on children's independence, but the results showed that parenting of working parents had a significant and positive effect on shaping children's independence. It is recommended that working parents continue to prioritize quality time to foster the growth and development of their children, while non-working parents must be open-minded towards parenting and education to encourage independence in their children.

Abstract

Talent class speak up at Homeschooling Kak Seto Surabaya is a non-academic activity with the aim of developing and training students' English speaking skills. In the talent class speak up learning process, an involvement of students' cognitive abilities is needed to get a change in knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of the talent class speak up program on the cognitive abilities of students in package B and package C pursuit programs. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative. The results of the study show the value of (5,142) > (2,032) and the value significant 0.000 <0.05. this shows that there is a significant influence of the talent class speak up program on students' cognitive abilities package B and package C at Homeschooling Kak Seto Surabaya. The existence of a talent class speak up program helps students improve their English speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and form of community participation in the implementation of the Permata Bunda Play Group (KB) program. This study uses a research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were KB Permata Bunda educators, guardians of KB Permata Bunda students, PKK Cadres in Pucangrejo Village, and the Head of Pucangrejo Village. Data collection was carried out in 3 ways, namely participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there is participation provided by the community, namely educators, parents of students, PKK cadres, and village heads. Participation provided by the community can be formed because of the attitude of mutual cooperation and cooperation that is embedded in the community. This participation is manifested in various activities in the implementation of the Permata Bunda KB, namely teaching and learning activities (KBM), Activities for Implementing Clean and Healthy Living (PHBS), as well as non-academic activities such as outbound and commemoration of holidays. The types of participation provided by various levels of society are adjusted to the capacity and needs in organizing the KB Permata Bunda.

Abstract

Sewing training through LKP Modes Flower Sidoarjo Regency to increase family income for the people of Jabon District, Sidoarjo Regency. The aim of the study was to find out the implementation of sewing training, the impact of sewing training on increasing family income, external and internal supporting factors, external and internal inhibiting factors. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects were Head of LKP Modes Flower, Sidoarjo Regency, instructors, learning residents. Data collection techniques are participant observation, in-depth interviews, documentation. Research data were analyzed using data collection, data condensation, data presentation, verification of conclusions then tested for its truth value with credibility, transferbility, dependability, confirmability. The results showed: (1) applying non-formal education in the implementation of sewing training, (2) residents learning after attending sewing training can increase family income, (3) external supporting factors for infrastructure are available, the government supports training activities and internal factors are the will of the residents' motivation learning, increasing the sewing talent of the learning residents, (4) external inhibiting factors where the training is limited, and internal factors completing homework before the training, not all learning residents have sewing talent.

Abstract

Kesibukan yang dialami peserta didik Paket B sehingga pembelajaran dilakukan secara online mengakibatkan turunnya motivasi dan hasil belajar khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS sehingga dipilihnya media pembelajaran Google Classroom untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Google Classroom terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik Paket B pada mata pelajaran IPS di SPNF SKB Sidoarjo menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif Pre-Eksperimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan sampel 23 peserta didik Paket B kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian melalui persentase angket motivasi belajar menunjukkan rata-rata 76.50% berkategori tinggi yang berarti ada pengaruh positif media pembelajaran Google Classroom terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik Paket B pada mata pelajaran IPS di SPNF SKB Sidoarjo. Hasil data pretest dan posttest melalui Sign Test diperoleh angka 0.000 < 0.05 yang berarti ada pengaruh signifikan media pembelajaran Google Classroom terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik Paket B pada mata pelajaran IPS di SPNF SKB Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The 21st century, the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, had significant consequences for education, especially in the learning process in the classroom. Learning innovation in the industrial revolution 4.0 era is important for renewal of learning that is able to answer the challenges of digital technology development. The National Education Association identifies 21st century skills as the "4 C's". The "4Cs" cover critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. Four skills that education must achieve in the 21st century. One of them is creativity, an important skill achieved by students in the industrial era 4.0. This study uses quantitative research, a type of pre-experimental research that uses a One-Shot case study and One Group pretest-posttest. The effect of STEAM learning on student creativity is 69.25%, meaning that the percentage criteria show high results, and the effect of STEAM learning on student learning outcomes from the pre-test and post-test results there is a significant difference between pre-test and post-test namely 63.89% and 81.67%.

Abstract

Skills development is part of life skills which are very important and useful for now and in the future. Life skills are an effort to increase the capacity and capability of every citizen. Skills training programs are very important and useful for students and efforts are needed to improve specific skills or life skills to support getting a job and even to open their own business. Barista training is a service from a non-formal education unit that facilitates learning about drinks and coffee in a relatively short period of time to be used to study various theories and barista skills ranging from basic to expert. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection is using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data condensation, data display and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the barista training program implemented at PKBM Budi Utama Surabaya runs according to good procedures, the expected output is having entrepreneurial motivation such as high interest, seriousness and commitment. Supporting factors in this study are facilities and infrastructure. The inhibiting factor for barista training is the attendance of participants who are not regular.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the learning strategies that are applied to optimize the learning outcomes of Package C program students at Homeschooling Kak Seto Surabaya. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is an analytical technique according to the theory of Miles, Huberman and Saldana. The results showed that the learning strategies applied to Package C Program students used the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) approach with cooperative learning models, discovery-inquiry, problem based learning and hybrid learning while the methods applied were lectures, discussions and assignments. The factors supporting the synergy between institutions, parents, the community and students, conducive conditions, adequate facilities and a positive response from students. There are two inhibiting factors, namely internal factors related to the ability of students to understand the subject matter and external factors from outside that hinder the implementation of learning strategies, namely signal or network conditions that are less stable.

Abstract

A drug addict is basically a person who has a mental disorder, a spiritual mental emptiness seen from a religious perspective. The government has made efforts to reduce the adverse effects of drug addicts on society. Such efforts can be done with rehabilitation. Condro Mowo Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools that has a rehabilitation program guided by holistic and comprehensive education. The formulation of the problem raised regarding the spiritual mental state of drug addicts, spiritual mental rehabilitation. The benefits of this research are expected to enrich knowledge and ideas about dealing with drug addicts. This study used a qualitative approach. Research data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the rehabilitation carried out at the Condro Mowo Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School is in the form of non-medical rehabilitation with ruqyah therapy and spiritual guidance, prayer, dhikr, istighosah and ruqyah, and reading the Qur'an. This rehabilitation effort is a series of religious guidance with divine elements.

Abstract

Humans are social creatures who live in need of other people. Social intelligence concerns how students communicate, behave, socialize with other people and the surrounding environment. Social intelligence includes five aspects including 1) situational awareness or situational awareness is the ability to understand, be sensitive and care about the surrounding environmental conditions, 2) presence or self-carrying ability is the ability to be ethical both in appearance or communication, 3) authenticity or authenticity is behavior possessed by students so that other people can judge it, 4) clarity or clarity is the ability possessed by students in expressing their opinions so that other people can know the intentions and goals conveyed by these students and 5) empathy or empathy is the ability to understand conditions and other people's feelings. The purposes of this study are 1) to describe the implementation of community homeschooling in efforts to increase social intelligence, 2) supporting factors and 3) inhibiting factors in increasing social intelligence in package A equivalency students at Pena Homeschooling Surabaya. The method used is descriptive qualitative using in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation.
