Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence utilization concept map in constructivisme type Novick model to overcome misconception on the concept of the human respiratory system. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using post-test only with nonequivalent group design. The sample of this research was established by cluster sampling. The populations of this research were all of 11th degree students of science at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. The samples of this research were the students of 11th Imersi I as experiment group and 11th Imersi II as control group. The data was collected using reasoning multiple choice test and observation form. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The research concluded that application of utilization concept map in constructivisme type Novick model didn’t influence on the efforts to overcome the misconceptions on the concept of the human respiratory system with the misconception degree that revealed unti 3,2% in the experimental group. Key Words: Concept map, constructivisme type Novick model, misconception, the human respiratory system

Abstract

This research’s aim is to increase the problem solving skill of the students in X-A of SMA Negeri Sragen Billingual Boarding School Gemolong academic Year 2013/2014. The matter is about Enviroment Pollution through Problem Based Learning application by using local area potention.     This research is a class action research which consists of three cycles. Each cycle contains of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subject is the students in X-A of SMA Negeri Sragen Billingual Boarding School Gemolong academic Year 2013/2014. Data of research were obtained by test and non test technique. Data validation were used triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive technique.The results of this research showed that according triangulation the average percentage for  IDEAL problem solver. IDEAL problem solver design measured with performance assement  consist of IDEAL process and IDEAL product. The average of IDEAL problem solver become value of problem solving skill for every student. The result of the research shows that the implementation of problem based learning increase the students’ problem solving skill that covers the IDEAL problem solver. The  total average of IDEAL problem solver in the X-A class SBBS increased from 42,0 move up into 85,7 score. This research’s conclusion is the implementation of problem based learning can increase the problem solving skill of the students in of SMA Negeri Sragen Billingual Boarding School Gemolong academic Year 2013/2014 about enviroment pollution material. Key Words: Problem based learning, problem solving skill

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara online pada masa pandemi Covid-19 pada sistem sirkulasi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner berupa Google Form yang dikirimkan melalui WhatsApp Group. Data berupa skala likert dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan WhatsApp Group sebagai media pembelajaran online pada materi Sistem Sirkulasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis data berdasarkan jawaban siswa pada angket yang telah dibagikan. Menurut mereka, Sistem Peredaran Darah sangat menarik, hal ini dinyatakan oleh 70% siswa yang bersemangat saat mempelajari Sistem Peredaran Darah. Setelah melakukan pembelajaran online melalui WhatsApp Group. 60% siswa memahami materi Sistem Peredaran Darah yang diberikan menggunakan Grup WhatsApp. Online learning during covid-19 pandemic with whatsapp group to improve students' learning motivation. This research is to improve student motivation to learn online during the Covid-19 pandemic on the circulation system using problem-based learning models. The data collection in this study was carried out through filling out a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form that was sent through WhatsApp Group. Data in the form of a Likert scale were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the use of WhatsApp Group as an online learning medium in the Circulation System material can increase student motivation as evidenced by the results of data analysis based on student answers in the questionnaire that has been distributed. According to them, the Circulatory System is very interesting, this is stated by 70% of students who are excited when studying the Circulatory System. After doing online learning through WhatsApp Group. 60% of students understand the Circulatory System material given using WhatsApp Group.

Abstract

This study was aimed to improve the students critical thinking ability of the biology student in X-4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramat academic year 2014/2015. This research was a class action research which consists of three cycles. Each cycle contains planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subject of this research was the student in X-4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramatand the amount was 36. The data collecting techniques of this research are test critical thinking ability, observation, interview and documentation. The data validation of this research was triangulation method. The data were analyzed by qualitative description techniques. The result shows that student critical thinking ability is increased in Pre-cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III. Interpretation aspect increase from 42,36% to 95,14%; inference aspect increase from 56,94% to 83,33%; evaluation aspect increase from 58,33% to 95,14%; explanation aspect increase from 49,31% to 95,14%; analyze aspect increase from 59,72% to 88,89%; self-regulation aspect increase from 46,53% to 95,75%. This research’s conclution is the implementation of Problem Based Learning can improve critical thinking ability of the student in X-4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramat academic year 2014/2015. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Critical Thiking

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence of learning cycle 5E models accompanied mind map toward biology learning achievment of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar academic year 2015/2016. This research was quasi experiment research which used posttest only nonequivalent control group design. This research applied learning cycle 5E learning models accompanied mind map in experimental group and direct instruction learning models in control group.  The population of this research was all of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar in academic year 2015/2016.   Sampling techniques used cluster sampling that choosed VIII A, VIII B, and VIII G as experiment group, and VIII H as control group. Data was collected using multiple choice test, observation sheet, and document.  The hypotheses analyzed by anova test. Result of data analysis using one way anova showed that  experiment group with application of learning cycle 5E learning models accompanied mind map has different signification 0.000 with other  experiment groups and Fstatisticwith value 7,436 is higher than F(α,df)with value 2,440.This research concluded that application of learning cycle 5E learning models accompanied mind map has real influential toward student’s biology learning achievement of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar especially cognitive domain. Keywords : learning cycle 5E, mind map,learning achievment.

Abstract

Education is the most important in human life especially with the development of science and technology as a supporter in education. The main problem faced by the world of education is the low level of student learning outcomes. Based on the results of field observations obtained data, that the average score achieved in grade VIII students less than KKM. So need to do research by using blended learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of blended learning model of learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri I Brondong academic year 2017/2018. This research belongs to Quasi experimental research by using pretest-post test. The instruments used in this study are pretest and posttest test. The data obtained from this research is then analyzed using t-test. Based on the results of research on the effect of learning model of blended learning through the media of image on the students of class VIII SMPN I Brondong Lamongan Year 2017/2018 that is the influence of learning model blended learning through the media images of student learning outcomes on the subject of excretory system. The result of the research shows that there are significant differences in the results of the class biology study which are studied using the conventional model and the class that is taught using the blended learning model through the media of the picture in the VIII students of SMP Negeri I Brondong. The result of data analysis of student learning result showed that the average value of cognitive domain of experimental class is 76.2 while control class is 72,4%. From the analysis of data can be concluded the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class. It is there influence the learning model blended learning through the media images of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Two research objectives have been stated, namely improving student learning achievement and science process skill improvement. This two objectives were ascertained ofter the application of Guided Inquiry strategy towards junior high school student of Surakarta. This research was conducted upon junior high school student of SMP Negeri 5 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012. As in a classroom action         research, this research performed within 4 cycles and each consist of 4 phases namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The obtained data were analized descriptively ofter validated using split half method. The result showed that Guided Inquiry did a good job. According to the observation the percentage of science process skill had been improved from the baseline 50,62% to 54,43% in 2nd cyle to 64,57% in 3rd cycle and ended up by 68,48% in the last cycle. This it can be concluded that Guided Inquiry has given effects towards science process skill student learning achievement has also been improved from baseline. The cognitive achievement has been improved from 14,53% to 15,12% in 2nd cyle to 15,75% in 3rd cycle and ended up by 15,25% in the last cycle. This improvement can also been seen in the affective and psikomotoric as well. The affective achievement has been improved from 49,96% to 51,72% in 2nd cyle to 61,07% in 3rd cycle and ended up by 61,61% in the last cycle. The Psikomotoric achievement has been improved from 43,80% to 52,01%  in 2nd cyle to 62,72% in 3rd cycle and ended up by 71,93% in the last cycle. Hence it can be concluded that Guided Inquiry has considered as effective to improve learning achievement. Key Words: Guided Inquiry, Science Process Skills, Achievement

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the high-order thinking ability in the 11th MIA 3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Teras in the school year of 2015/2016 by applying Guided Inquiry Learning model. This study was a Classroom Action Research using Kemmis and Mc.Taggart’s spiral model. The research was conducted in two cycle. Each of cycle consisted of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The objective of research was the 11th MIA 3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Teras in the school year of 2015/2016, consisting of 34 students. The data of research was obtained through observation, interview, documentation and high-order thinking ability test. Data validation was carried out using triangulation technique. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis technique. The target of research was an increase by ≥25% in every aspect of high-order thinking ability, ie C4 (analyzing) aspect increased by 25% from 45. 53% to 70.53%, C5 (evaluating) aspect increased by 25% from 47.72% to 72.72%, and C6 (creating) aspect increased by 25% from 48.24% to 73.24%. The result of research showed that the application of Guided Inquiry learning could improve the high-order thinking ability of the students including C4 (analyzing), C5 (evaluating), and C6 (creating) aspects corresponding to the target of research, ≥25%. The percentage gain of C4 was 45.53% in pre-cycle, 82.84% in cycle I, and 87.62% in cycle II. The percentage gain of C5 was 47.72% in pre-cycle, 73.54% in cycle I, and 83.82% in cycle II. The percentage gain of C6 was 48.24% in pre-cycle, 73.53% in cycle I, and 75.12% in cycle II. C4 (analyzing) aspect increased by 42.09% from .53% to 87.62%, C5 (evaluating) aspect increased by 36.1% from 47.72% to 83.82%, and C6 (creating) aspect increased by 26.88% from 48.24% to 75.12%. Considering the result of research, it could be concluded that the application of Guided Inquiry Learning could improve the high-order thinking ability in the 11th MIA 3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Teras in the school year of 2015/2016.

Abstract

The purpose of the research to improve the social skill of the X-3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali in the school year of 2012/2013 by applying the contextual approach with group investigation learning model. Research method was a Classroom Action Research designed some cycles encompassing 4 stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was the X-3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali in the school year of 2012/2013. The data was obtained using non-test technique including interview and questionnaire. The data was analyzed using a descriptive qualitative technique as well as data validation using technique triangulation. Result of the research showed the improved achievement of student social skills. The conclusion was that the application of contextual approach using group investigation learning model could improve the social skill of the X-3 graders of SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali in the school year of 2012/2013. Key Words: Contextual Approach, Group Investigation, Social Skill

Abstract

This study is aimed to improve creative thinking ability of XI IPA4 class of SMA N 3 Surakarta through the implementation of Blended-Problem Solving through moodle application. This research was a classroom action research held in 3 cycles, each cycle includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the students of XI IPA4 class at SMA N 3 Surakarta in academic year of 2012/2013. The data is obtained through the test (essay test) and non-test (observation, interviews and questionnaires). The data is analyzed with descriptive analytical techniques and validated by triangulation techniques. The results showed that students creative thinking ability is increased in Pre-cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III. Creative thinking consist of four aspects are fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Fluency aspect has increased was 52,5%, flexibility aspect was 54,17%, the originality aspect was 61,66% and elaboration aspect was 55,83%. The research conclouded that the implementation of Blended-Problem Solving through moodle application can improve creative thinking ability of XI IPA4 class at SMA N 3 Surakarta in academic year of 2012/2013. Key Words: Blended-Problem Solving, Moodle, Creative Thinking
