Abstract

This research is a pure experimental research using a 2×2 factorial design which aims to: (1) describesignificant differences in physics learning outcomes between students who are given interactivepresentation media and conventional media, (2) analyze significant differences in physics learningoutcomes between participants students who are given interactive presentation media andconventional media, for students who have high learning motivation, (3) analyze differences in physicslearning outcomes of students who are given interactive presentation media and conventional media,for students who have low learning motivation, (4) analyze the effect of the interaction betweeninteractive presentation media and learning motivation on students' physics learning outcomes. Thisresearch was carried out at Gamaliel Makassar Christian High School with the stages of observation,preparation of research tools and instruments, content and empirical validation, provision ofmotivational questionnaires, application of learning media to experimental and control classes,administration of final tests which were then analyzed to test hypotheses. The results of the hypothesistest showed (1) overall, there were differences in the physics learning outcomes of students who weregiven interactive presentation media with conventional media, (2) for students who had highmotivation to learn physics, there were significant differences in physics learning outcomes betweenstudents who given interactive presentation media with conventional media, (3) for students who havelow motivation to learn physics, there is a significant difference in physics learning outcomes betweenstudents who are given interactive presentation media with conventional media, (4) there is nointeraction between learning media and motivation to learn about physics learning outcomes ofstudents.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of work interest, the influence of the school environment and work readiness as well as the influence of industrial work practices (prakerin), work interest, and school environment on work readiness of class XII students of SMK Negeri 4 Gowa in the 2020/2021 school year partially or simultaneously. This type of research is a quantitative analysis research and the sampling technique uses a proportional cluster random sampling technique which is determined using the Krejcie table with a sample size of 73 respondents. Data collection methods use observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The results showed that 46.5% of students had a high category of apprenticeship scores, 84.9% of students with a high level of work interest, 93.2% of students admitted that the school environment affected work readiness and 89% of students had a high level of work readiness. . Furthermore, partially internship has an effect on student work readiness, work interest has a significant effect on student work readiness by 14.82% and the school environment has a significant effect on student work readiness by 39.0. Simultaneously internship, work interest and school environment have a significant effect on readiness student work amounted to 51.4%..

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) as part of the school plays an important role in dealing with problems or violations committed by students so that an effective data storage is needed. Problems discoveredrelated to BK data processing at SMKN 2 (public vocational high school) Makassar is a process thatis still done manually, so it can potentially lose data due to scattered and also difficulties in findingstudent’s case data. The existence of a web-based guidance and counseling information system canassist teachers in processing and storing student’s case data, as well as easy access for parties whoneed student’s case data and information, such as the students’ parents. The development of this systemuses the prototype model with 4 main stages, namely: (1) needs analysis, (2) prototype design andmanufacture, (3) prototype evaluation, and (4) final product. The expert validation test was conductedby 2 lecturers to examine the validity of the software/program aspect and obtained an average of 4.9which met the valid criteria. The next test was on the practical and effective aspects which wasconducted by involving 30 respondents and the average practical aspect was 96% and the averageeffective aspect was 95%; thus, it was categorized as very practical and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to; (1) knowing the stages of development learning media based on smartphone application modul in Indonesian food processing courses; (2) find out that the learning media based on the smartphone application modul that was developed meets the valid, effective and practical criteriaThis research method is Research and Development with ADDIE development model. The research subjects were 20 students and 1 lecturer from the PKK FT UNM Department. Data collection through documentation, observation and questionnaire methods were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the research on development learning media based on smartphone application modul through the following stages: (1) analyzing the initial conditions and learning needs; (2) the design stage of designing learning devices and media; (3) making lesson plans, modul, recipes for side dishes, learning media based on smartphone application modul and guide books, as well as data collection instruments that go through a validation stage by material experts and media experts; (4) product implementation in individual trials, small group trials and field trials after minor revisions; (5) stages of summative evaluation and product finalization. The quality of the learning media was declared very valid by the media expert validator with a value of97.22%and material expert with value95.14%. The practicality of the media based on the observation of student activities scores90.76% and activities of lecturers get grades 95.81% criteria are very active, and student response questionnaires get a score of 90.32% criteria are very good. Effectiveness is stated based on the results of the learning test obtaining an average value of 86.46% and the performance assessment obtaining an average of 85.45% where all students are declared to have passed, so that the learning media based on the smartphone application modul is suitable for use in Indonesian food processing courses in the Department of Education PKK FT UNM.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of work skills of students majoring in PKK FT UNM and to determine the effect of communication skills, creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills, applied academic skills, and technology use skills on job readiness partially and simultaneously. This type of research is quantitative research. The data was obtained from the value of the Industrial Practice course, the distribution of the questionnaire using the Guttman scale via google form, equipped with unstructured interviews. The population of this research is the 2016 undergraduate students majoring in PKK FT UNM Fashion Design study program who have implemented industrial practices in the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 50 people with a sample of 49 people. The research data were analyzed using simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, effective contribution analysis and relative contribution analysis. The results showed that the quality of student work skills was classified as very good based on the value of industrial practice, the value of industrial practice reports, and the value of industrial practice seminars. The R2 value in the simple regression analysis shows that communication skills have the most positive effect, namely 19%, creative thinking skills have a positive effect of 17.1%, applied academic skills have a positive effect of 14.5%, technology use skills have a positive effect of 10.9%, and critical thinking skills with the lowest positive effect of 10.6%. These five variables have a positive effect on job readiness in the fashion industry by 44.6%.

Abstract

The government's policy "stay at home" is implemented to prevent and cope with Covid-19 in Indonesia, so it affects the increase of public electricity bills due to changes in lifestyles that spendmore time at home. The IoT with an electricity-saving device, it can controling electricity load useand will greatly help the community, especially in pandemic conditions as is the case now. Thedevelopment model used in this research is the waterfall development model. There are 5 stages thatare passed in this development, namely analysis, design, development, testing, and safety. The expertvalidation test was conducted by 2 lecturers to determine the reliability of the product that had beenmade and obtained a very reliable interpretation. Field trials in this study were conducted in severalcommunity homes that installed IoT with electricity-saving devices in Makassar city with 5respondents. This test was conducted to determine the quality of the product from the usability aspectand the average score of SUS (System Usability Scale) is 80. An IoT with an electricity-saving devicecan provide user convenience in controlling the use of lights and fans in one hand, and can save theelectrical power at home, in this case electronic items that have an inductive load because of thepresence of a capacitor as a capacitive load that prevents changes in the value of the electric voltage.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a school administration information system using the HumanComputer Interaction (HCI) model and whether the information system developed meets thevalid, practical, and efficient criteria. Data were collected by using observation, documentation,and questionnaires. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The dataanalysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that themeasurement of the validity of each statement item has an r-count value greater than 0.361, themeasurement of the reliability of the measurement instrument for the implementation of theHuman Computer Interaction model in the school administration information system isacceptable and has a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.937. The measurement of the averagesoftware/program aspect for all indicators, which is 97%, is in very valid category. The averagedisplay aspect measurement for all indicators, which is 99%, is in very valid category. Theusability measurement from Human Computer Interaction (HCI) meets Jacob Nielson's 5criteria, namely learnability criteria 66.66% of respondents answered very easy to learn,63.66% of respondents answered memorability criteria very easy to remember, efficiencycriteria 93.33% of respondents answered efficient, error criteria 73.33% of respondentsanswered goo in handling errors, and satisfaction criteria 86.66% of respondents answeredsatisfied. The results of practicality analysis of the school administration information systemobtained an average of 4.52 and a percentage of 90.5 that the school administration informationsystem has met the requirements for the practicality of the information system. The evaluationresults of the effectiveness of the school administration information system show that theaverage overall indicator is 4.56 and obtaining a percentage of 91.28%, which indicates thatthe school administration information system meets the effectiveness of the informationsystem.

Abstract

The study aimed to discover 1) The influence of using google classroom learning media on learning outcomes in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep, 2) the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep,and 3) the influence of using google classroom learning media and learning motivation on learning outcomes in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep. The research method used was ex-post facto research. The total population was 67 people. The sample size was 67 people because this study worked on the population. Data collection was conducted by using documentation and questionnaire. The prerequisite test used the normality test and linearity test. Hypothesis testing employed simple linear regression test and multiple linear regression. The results of the study reveal that: (1) students' perceptions on the use of google classroom learning media in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep are in "very good" category, (2) the students’ motivation in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep is in "very high"category, (3) the learning outcomes in Computer and Basic Network subject at SMKN 3 Pangkep are in "good" category, (4) there is an influence of using google classroom learning media on learning outcomes. The test results show that the Sig. F of 0.000 <0.05 with a contribution of 19.6%, (5) there is an influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes. The test results show that the Sig. F of 0.000<0.05 with a contribution of 41.3%, and (6) there is an influence on the use of google classroom learning media and learning motivation collectively on learning outcomes. The test results show the value of Sig. F is 0.000 <0.05 with a contribution of 45.6%. Therefore, the research hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

The study aims at analyzing the influence of learning process, the lecturer’s competence, and students’ activities on learning effectiveness. The research population was the students of Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program at the State University of Makassar of batch 2019 and 2020 with 83 samples. The analytical methods used were descriptive analysis, inferential analysis with normality, linearity, multicolinearity, and autocorrelation as well as the hypothesis testing of multiple linear reegression. Data collections were obtained by employing observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Based on the result of hypothesis testing with regression analysis, the first hypothesis of the study surmised that the learning process gives significant influence on the learning effectiveness and it is attested. Then, the second and third hypotheses of the study surmised that the lecturer’s competence and the students’ activities give influence on the learning effectiveness and it is attested.

Abstract

This research aims to discover (1) the stages of developing android-based digital fashion design learning media in Applied Computer Application Course; (2) the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of android-based digital fashion design learning media in Applied Computer Application Course. The research method used was Research and Development with ADDIE development model. The research subjects were 26 students and 2 lecturers of the PKK FT UNM. Data collection was obtained through documentation, observation, and questionnaire and analyzed by using quantitative descriptive statistical technique. The results of the research on the development of android-based digital fashion design learning media were conducted through the following stages: (1) Analysis; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The quality of the learning media is stated as very valid by the media expert validator with a value of 94.12% which is in very valid category and the material expert with a value of 100% which is in very valid category. The practicality of the media based on the observation of students’ activities scored 88.75% in very active category, lecturer’s activities scored 93.75% in very active category, and the students’ response questionnaire scored 93.66% in very good category. The effectiveness is stated based on the results of the learning test, obtaining an average value of 91.15 with an A value index and students’ performance assessments obtaining an average of 90.40 with an A- value index where all students are stated to have passed. Therefore, the digital fashion design learning media is feasible to be used in the Applied Computer Application Course in the PKK FT UNM.
