Abstract

Abstract: Kejei dance is one of the cultures of the Rejang Lebong people, in which there are several elements, one of which is music. Music in the kejei dance has its own function. This study provides a new knowledge about the function of music in the kejei dance in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu.The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected by means of (1) offline observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. While the data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing/drawing conclusions.The results obtained: The function of music in the Kejei dance is 1) the function of music as an accompaniment to the opening motion or prayer movement, 2) the content movement or the eye movement of the oars, and 3) the closing motion with three different patterns, namely (a) the pattern of sea waves, (b) ) lanting bird pattern, (c) gibbon pattern behind the hill), 4) music as a dance atmosphere, 5) music as an illustration.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and inform the bamboo musical instrument learning strategy for extracurricular activities in the State Elementary School 94 Lalong. The research method used is descriptive qualitative methods. The research took place in SDN 94 Lalong and in Lalong Village houses, Walenrang, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, before and after the pandemic, started from October 2019 until June 2021. Data is collected through observation, interview and literature study, and triangulation for data validity. The result of this study is showed that bamboo musical instrument learning strategy for extracurricular activities in SDN 94 Lalong Luwu Regency South Sulawesi, used Participative Teaching and Learning strategy is learning that involved coach as the center and students as learners from early planning, implementation, and evaluation. Learning methods used are demonstration, question and answer, drill, Team Teaching, and Kodaly methods. Other than that, with the existence of bamboo musical instrument extracurricular activities in SDN 94 Lalong, Luwu Regency, bamboo musical art can be elevated and become a motivation for Luwu community and other regions to keep on preserving bamboo musical art from Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the Analysis TumbaoRhythm PatternonConga in Necesitas Tu. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out from October 2020 to June 2021. The results of the study can be concluded that the most popular Basic of Latin Cuban is the tumbao pattern. The tumbao pattern is the basic pattern for playing conga in salsa music. In the song Necesitas Tu there are two types of variations of the tumbao pattern, namely: variation I and variation II. It can be concluded that the song Necesitas Tu by Blue Mambo has 9 (nine) parts, namely: intro, main theme, development section, interlude, solo, intro, main theme, development section, and coda. The section that has more than one variation of the tumbao rhythm pattern is the development section. Overall there are 4 (four) techniques used in the tumbao pattern such as heel, fingertip/toe, slap, and open tone. The implication of the results of this study is to explore conga instruments that are of interest in developing percussion skills. Music education institutions are to provide adequate facilities so that students are more active in exploring conga instruments, so that students are motivated to improve their abilities or skills in processing Latin percussion instruments as well as Indonesian ethnic percussion.

Abstract

Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada is the third move of Leo Brouwer's El Decameron Negro suite. The researcher wants to discuss the structure and interpretation of this work because when the researcher plays it, there was no continuity between the first and second movements. Researcher used qualitative methods with content analysis techniques and musicological approaches. Data obtained by documentation study, interviews, and literature study. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data inference. The results of this research indicate that this work is in the form of Rondo with the structure of A (a-a') - B (b-b'-y) - A (a) - C (c-c') - A (a). This work also does not have a programmatic continuity with other movements, as well as in a modern suite. But this movement is still written based on one main story theme like the other movements. This movement contains two very contrasting emotions. Part A has a more lyrical-like ballad characteristic, while the B and C parts are more tense and lively. Brouwer describes the feeling of a princess performing a ritual dance as a punishment, but at the same time falling in love with a warrior. This research can be a reference for other scientific research that discuss the structure and interpretation of 20th century musical works. In addition, this research can be useful for guitar major students of Music Education study program, State University of Jakarta.

Abstract

Abstract: This research using a qualitative research methods with a musicological approach. This research was conducted in February – June 2021, at the writer's place, located at Jl. Al-Nur RT 01/ RW 06 No.70 Kel. Pabuaran, Kec. Cibinong, Kab. Bogor, West Java. The Data collection is done by using Literature review, Documentation Study, Observation and Interview. Other than that, the data analysis techniques that the writer used for the research are Data Reduction, Codeing, Data Presentation, and Drawing Conclusions. In testing the validity of the data, the writer using the Triangulation Technique.The result of this study is the writer find out that the work of Zigeunerweisen (Gypsi Airs) Pablo de`Sarasate Op.20 has 1 movement consisting of 4 parts, there are Moderato, Lento, Un Peu Plus Lento (in C minor scales), and Allegro molto Vivace (in C minor scales). a minor). The techniques contained in these work are including Legato, Sull, Spiccato, Flying Staccato, Multiple Stops, Ricochet, Pizzicato left and right hand, Portamento and Glissando, natural and artificial harmonics. Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the use of Smart Apps Creator (SAC) as a device that can create interactive learning media applications to be used as an alternative online learning media at SMA Negeri 9 Jakarta. The research method used to collect research data is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, including observation, documentation, interviews and literature studies. The research results obtained are Smart Apps Creator (SAC) can create interactive learning media applications for students. The application makes it easier for students in the learning process, especially in music material. The material in the application can be accessed offline, designed with a game pattern model to make the student learning process comfortable and Happy.

Abstract

This research is based on the condition of adult beginners who study piano in a course institution but are constrained by internet network disturbances. Thus the researchers created a digital-based piano training concept by adding video tutorials as a supplement to piano training media. Video tutorials are online instructional videos that are connected indirectly with content in the form of stages to carry out specific activities. The use of this video tutorial is intended for beginner piano students aged 9 years or older who are then categorized as adult beginners. The author made this article using the interview method and literature review. The results of this study are 5 piano teachers using video conferencing technology on the zoom application for the concept of digital-based piano training; The advantage of digital-based piano training is that both piano teachers and adult beginners can learn piano anytime and anywhere; while the weakness of digital-based piano training is the internet network which is sometimes disconnected and delayed; On this concept, tutorial videos are shared via whatsapp app before piano training meeting on zoom app; There are 5 stages in making video tutorials, namely 1) Planning materials and indicators of competency achievement; 2) Finding ideas and imagining the concept; 3) Creating Story Lines; 4) Making PPT, writing melody scripts and recording audio visuals; 5) Editing

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to develop the competence of junior high school art and culture teachers who are members of the MGMP in Jakarta regarding the making of school music arrangement materials in music learning that are easier to play during the covid-19 pandemic. The implementation method is carried out in the form of workshops and training. The implementation is carried out in several stages, namely initial activities in the form of training, core activities in the form of workshops, and FGDs, while the final activity is an independent mentoring activity in the preparation of school music arrangements in various forms that can be used in direct music learning in each participant's class. The data collection instrument was in the form of a participant satisfaction questionnaire with this workshop and training activity. The results of the evaluation conducted by the teacher stated that this activity had a positive impact on the development of professional competence

Abstract

This paper is a study on Strengthening Children's Character through Culture-Based Singing. The background of the research is the lack of children's songs that contain character values ​​as well as culture-based. In fact, culture-based children's songs, apart from being able to educate, can also shape and strengthen children's character which is very much needed during the pandemic and welcomes the era of society 5.0. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze children's songs that contain cultural-based character values. Data collection is taken from books, youtube, and other related sources. The method used is descriptive qualitative with an emphasis on literature study. The results showed that from 55 children's songs collected and analyzed, at least each song contained two aspects of character values. Furthermore, ten songs were selected that contain the most elements of character values, which on average have at least 5 aspects of character values. The songs are Ride the Delman, See My Garden, The Shepherd Child, Plant Corn, Take the Train, Becak, Go To The Sea, Uncle Comes, Wake Up, and Go To Study. There are only six songs that actually contain cultural values, especially local wisdom, namely: I am a Shepherd Child, Becak, Beramai to the Sea, Ride Delman, Ride the Train, and Uncle comes. Therefore, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture must promote the socialization of songs containing character values ​​as well as promote the creation of children's songs containing cultural-based character education which is very much needed at this time to strengthen children's character while preserving Indonesia's cultural wealth.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020 the Indonesian people were shocked by the outbreak of a new type of virus, namely Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The impact of the outbreak of this virus is felt by the world of education in Indonesia, especially the City of Kupang. This condition is academically alone in a student in achieving his goals, namely from a physical and psychological perspective. This impact also reported Church Music students at the State Christian Institute (IAKN) Kupang. The purpose of the study was to look empirically about the benefits of listening to classical music for students of IAKN Kupang Church Music in the face of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study used a qualitative method by taking the subject of 8 Church Music students. Data were collected by interviewing and observing students. The results obtained were that students felt significant benefits from listening to classical music during the pandemic. Listening to classical music can affect the psychological condition of students such as feeling calmer, more comfortable, relaxed and reducing feelings of worry. In addition, it affects the physical condition of students such as heart rate, decreased blood pressure and relaxed tense muscles. The influence of academic classical music is to provide inspiration in assignments given by lecturers, so that students carry out lectures and practice.
