Abstract

 Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK) bertujuan menyiapkan mahasiswa sebagai calon guru dan tenaga kependidikan lainnya yang memiliki kemampuan pribadi, sosial dan profesional. Mahasiswa dipersiapkan sedini mungkin untuk memiliki kualifikasi calon guru yang profesional melalui praktik pengalaman lapangan (PPL) yang dilaksanakan secara terpadu dan terbimbing. Dalam PPL, mahasiswa dibimbing oleh guru pamong dan dosen pembimbing. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan guru pamong sangat efektif, pelaksanaan PPL mahasiswa cukup baik, dan bimbingan dosen pembimbing juga sangat baik. Efektivitas bimbingan guru pamong dan dosen pembimbing ternyata dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar para mahasiswa.

Abstract

When a plan is being implemented, its organizational structure is then established. Though the existence of the structure cannot guarantee the success of the plan, it facilitates the realization of the goal so that the members of the organization can be led and motivated. Control function holds a very important role as it serves as an ultimate link of the function of educational management. Therefore, the value of controlling lies on its relationship with planning and activities delegated to the members.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) dalam melaksanakan wajib belajar dilihat dari komponen guru, sarana dan prasarana. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 44 sekolah/kepala sekolah dan 206 guru MI yang tersebar di wilayah kecamatan Singosari, Pujon, Bantur, dan Tajinan Kabupaten Malang. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket, wawancara dan observasi, dan hasilnya dianalisis dengan statistik rerata (mean). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa komponen guru cukup siap melaksanakan wajib belajar, sedangkan komponen sarana dan prasarana belum siap dalam mewujudkan pelaksanaan wajib belajar.

Abstract

A philosophy of an organization is the organization’s members’ way of thinking. The philosophy is part of the organization’s culture which is defined as how members give meaning to values, belief, customs, and philosophy of their organization as indicated by the members’ behavior which can differentiate that organization from others. The functions of the philosophy are to activate, to guide how to think, behave, and feel which influence the educational management practice.

Abstract

The implementation of the credit-point regulation on research activities influences the morale of lecturers of state universities in East Java. This is a correlational and ex-post facto study. The data were collected by means of questionnaire and interview to 361 out of 5616 lecturers of state universities in East Java. The results show that the lecturers relate their teaching, research, and community-service activities to research with sufficiently high morale. Though complicated, the implementation procedures are suited with the condition of the university. There is no fixed schedule as to carrying out the research activities. The administrative management is found to be efficient and effective. There is no significant correlation between the implementation of credit-point regulation on research activities and the morale of state university lecturers in East Java.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study aims to describe the variety of Bimaese grammatical interference into written Indonesian and the factors affecting the interference. Thirty-two fifth graders were involved in this study. The data were collected throught questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The findings suggest that there are a number of similarities and differences between Bimaese and Indonesian forms and that there is a transfer in terms of language components, system, and principles. The factors affecting these refer to linguistics, involving morphology and syntax, and non-linguistics, such as socio-linguistics, learning conditions, and socio-cultural factors.

Abstract

Evaluation Study on the Implementation of D-II Equivalent Program of Elementary School Teacher Education. The study aimed to evaluate the implementation of D-II Equivalent Program of Elementary School Teacher Education, concerning the evaluation of the curriculum, students, teaching-learning process, academic staff, facilities, and the shortcomings. The study was carried out in Blitar and Jombang, involving 337 subjects comprising students, tutors, instructors of practical work, and supervisors. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, documentation study, and observation and then analyzed using statistics of percentages. The results indicate that the implementation of the curriculum is mostly relevant to the guidelines and that there are shortcomings in implementing the program, especially concerning the availability of the modules and the late acceptance of them.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the influence of principals power on teachers performance. One hundred and forty teachers from ten public senior high school were involved in this study. Data from questionnaires were descriptively analyzed. The results of the study indicate that principals expert power positively correlates with teachers performance. However, the correlation is of low degree due to the fact that principals are perceived to offer teachers with little help.

Abstract

Kurikulum baru di Indonesia telah dilaksanakan secara bertahap. Bagaimana kesiapan para guru untuk mengadopsi perubahan kurikulum itu? Sudahkah mereka memiliki sikap yang tepat terhadap perubahan yang terjadi? Salah satu model implementasi adopsi inovasi kurikulum yang mungkin dapat diterapkan di Indonesia adalah model adopsi berdasar perhatian (Concern-Based Adoption Model, CBAM) yang merupakan hasil riset tentang implementasi inovasi oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Universitas Texas. Dalam model ini yang dipentingkan adalah perhatian guru terhadap inovasi, termasuk perubahan kurikulum.

Abstract

Curricular Validity of the Test Items for the Elementary School and Secondary School Ebtanas. This study was carried out to know if the test items in the Ebtanas fulfilled curricular validity. Data were collected by documentary study from the Bahasa Indonesia test items administered in the elementary school, junior high school and senior high school Ebtanas since 1985/1986. The data were analyzed by percentages. It was found out that, in terms of items relevance to the curricular objectives and material representativeness in each topic, the test items did not fulfill curricular validity.
