JKM: Jurnal Kemitraan Masyarakat merupakan jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dikelola oleh Program Studi Pendidikan IPA Fakultas MIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar dengan ISSN 3047-8987 (online). Jurnal ini terbit berkala sebanyak dua kali dalam setahun yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Terbit untuk pertama kali pada bulan Desember 2022 (Vol 1 Nomor 1). Ruang artikel yang dimuat dalam JKM adalah Pendidikan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, teknologi terapan, dan pelestarian lingkungan. Tujuan jurnal ini untuk memfasilitasi para akademisi dan praktisi dalam menerbitkan hasil karya-karya inovasi secara luas dalam pengembangan dan penyelesaian permasalahan dalam kehidupan masyarakat.

Abstract

The microscope is a key tool in biology laboratories and supports various learning activities. The Community Service Activity (PKM) was conducted to enhance the knowledge, insight, and skills of biology teachers in using and maintaining microscopes. The event took place on October 29, 2023, at the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University, and involved 13 high school biology teachers from South Sulawesi province. The training consisted of three stages: material delivery, practical training, and evaluation of the participants' performance. The observations during the PKM revealed that the training materials and activities effectively improved the skills of the biology teachers in using and maintaining microscopes. The biology teachers responded positively to the training activities, and the PKM activities ran smoothly, achieving the expected goals.

Abstract

Inorganic waste has become a serious problem and affects the balance of life. One of the inorganic wastes that pollute the environment is single-use plastic bags. An education is needed to reduce pollution, so ecoprint training is conducted at MTs. Bontocinde inclusions. The aim of the ecoprint training is to pay attention to environmental care behavior. The output of this training is ecoprint tote bags and the level of satisfaction of students participating in ecoprint training. The methods used in this activity are socializing activities, training on making ecoprint products, and program evaluation. The training was conducted for 2 days at MTs Inclusion Bontocinde, Gowa Regency. The results of the ecoprint training are ecoprint totebags and student satisfaction is at 80%, namely at the agree level. This indicates that students are satisfied and agree to carry out environmental care behaviors.

Abstract

One way that teachers can realize the success of learning in training students to be independent and able to think creatively is by choosing a learning model that suits the learning material. One of the learning models that can improve students' creative thinking is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The PjBL model is also one of the recommended models in independent curriculum learning. The project-based learning model is an innovative learning that is student centered and places the teacher as a motivator and facilitator, where students are given the opportunity to work autonomously to construct their learning Educators must be able to develop learning tools as one of the keys in establishing a learning system in accordance with the objectives of the learning itself. However, most teachers, especially science teachers in Maros City, are still lacking in understanding about PjBl tools and the syntax of PjBL itself. Therefore, a training or workshop on Project Based Learning Device Development in Science Learning in Maros City was held.

Abstract

The use of media increases students' interest in the material being taught so that learning is more interactive. The teaching and learning process designed and implemented by the teacher should attract the attention of students. The process of teaching and learning activities that are not interesting can cause boredom and boredom in students which will result in student learning achievements. This service aims to find out and increase students' interest in learning by utilizing Simple Science teaching aids. The output of this training is the level of student satisfaction with the use of Simple Science teaching aids. The research was conducted at UPT SMPN 1 Pinrang with a total of 22 students who indicated that the results of satisfaction led to positive aspects in the use of simple science teaching aids in science learning.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka mewajibkan pemahaman terhadap beberapa model pembelajaran salah satunya yaitu model pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Masih kurangnya pemahaman guru-guru IPA terhadap pembuatan perangkat berbasis Project Based Learning menjadi tujuan dalam pengabdian ini. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di kabupaten Polewali Mandar Sulawesi Barat dengan jumlah guru sebanyak 15 orang guru IPA. Tujuan pengabdian adalah untuk mengetahui a) pemahaman guru-guru IPA MGMP se Kabupaten Polewali Mandar sebelum dilaksanakan Pelatihan, b) Pemahaman guru-guru IPA MGMP se Kabupaten Polewali Mandar sesudah dilaksanakan Pelatihan. Hasil pengabdian menujukan a) pemahaman guru-guru IPA sebelum mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan perangkat Project Based Learning yaitu kurang baik, dan b) pemahaman guru-guru IPA sebelum mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan perangkat Project Based Learning yaitu baik.

Abstract

One way that teachers can achieve learning success in training students to be independent and able to think creatively is by developing learning media that is suitable for application in the new curriculum. Learning media in the form of teaching aids can improve students' ability to understand the concept of the material because students can directly observe the processes that occur in it so that they can improve learning outcomes. However, most alumni of the science education study program still find it difficult to develop learning media for science teaching aids. This occurs due to the lack of experience and skills of alumni of the science education study program in implementing and making science teaching aids. Therefore, a training or workshop on making science teaching aids was held for alumni of the UNM Science Education Study Program.

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of students in welcoming the world of education in the era of society 5.0, the Lecturer Team held a service activity by conducting training in making innovative teaching media. The purpose of this service activity for students is to provide knowledge and skills to make innovative media that are useful in science learning. The problem faced is the lack of understanding of prospective science teacher students in finding ideas about innovative media that are useful today. This training was held with 56 students participating. The methods used were: lectures, discussions and sharing, as well as guidance on making innovative learning media. The results of the service activities are that students are able to make innovative learning media in the form of utilizing applications and media products.

Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of student service to the community that aims to apply knowledge and technology in real life. This program serves as a means for students to gain hands-on experience in solving problems within the community, specifically in the area of the BRIN Remote Sensing Office in Parepare. The activities focus on improving the office facility database, which supports office effectiveness in spatial planning management, impacting the quality of office services, and offering innovative solutions for environmental issues, especially waste management in the surrounding area. The activities are conducted in collaboration with government offices and involve active participation from the local community, aligning with the university's mission to create a responsive generation. The implementation of this KKN refers to Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education, which emphasizes the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service. Within this framework, the KKN program is a form of community service expected to make a tangible contribution to local development, particularly in environmental management.

Abstract

Beberapa puluh tahun yang lalu salah satu ternak warga jatuh kesumur, sehingga warga memperlebar lubang sumur dengan cara mengcabut satu persatu batu yang menyusun sumur tersebut. Ketika disusun kembali bentuk dari sumur tersebut sudah berbeda dengan bentuk sebelum dilakukan pembongkaran. Berdarkan hal tersebut permasalahan ini cocok dijadikan sebagai tema pengabdian kepada masyarakat, terkait dengan Sumur Peninggalan Ibunda Sultan Hasanuddin yang belum diberi pagar pembatas untuk menghindari hal tersebut terulang Kembali. Anggota tim pengabdian masyarakat yang terlibat melakukan observasi dengan mengidentifikasi sejarah yang ada di Desa Punaga. Pada tahap ini pula kami merancang desain pagar sumur dan menyiapkan alat dan bahan. Setelah dilaksanakan pembuatan pagar sumur maka hal hal yang ditakutkan kembali terulang, dapat teratasi melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini dan desa ini dapat dijadikan tempat pariwisata sejarah dan menungjang perekonomian pendapatan desa serta dapat menambah cagar budaya yang ada di desa tersebut.

Abstract

The results of the KKN team's observations at Balanipa Vocational School show that the creation of a clean and healthy environment that supports the learning process has not been fully fulfilled. As an effort by the KKN TEAM to encourage the creation of a clean and healthy environment for quality education, several appropriate work programs have been carried out. One step to make this happen is by completing infrastructure that supports the creation of a clean and healthy environment, such as providing rubbish bins. This is a solution because the results of observations show that the number of existing rubbish bins does not match the number of school residents such as students, teachers, staff and parents who come to visit to throw away the rubbish. As an effort to do this, the KKN team first identified the number and location of trash bins needed at Balanipa Vocational School. Next, collaboration was carried out with the KKN team and the school community (students and teachers) to collect basic materials in the form of bamboo to make trash cans. About 12 trash bins were produced which were then placed in every corner of the building and in front of every room. The results of further observations show that a clean and healthy environment has been created thanks to the presence of the new trash can. This is proven by the trash cans being almost full every day.
