Abstract

The purpose of this service is to assist teachers at the elementary level in compiling HOTS assessment instruments using the help of AI Chat GPT. This activity was attended by all teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mambaul Hidayah with a total of 12 teachers, where in the assistance pre-test and post-test were given by the teachers offline. This service uses a service-learning strategy by not involving students because the form of direct service is carried out to madrasah teachers on a collaborative and practical basis. Based on the results of the training it showed an increase in teachers' understanding by 68% from the initial 46%. Obstacles related to the preparation of principles are reduced and teachers' ability to prepare HOTS foundation instruments shows better ability than before. The final result of this mentoring goal is in the form of an assessment instrument that teachers can prepare to test on students at the Madrasah year-end foundation activities in even semesters. This service also produces a teacher competency development program through the Digital Pedagogy Learning Community.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower parents in early childhood education. The importance of early childhood education in shaping children's character, cognitive, social, and emotional development will be more optimal. Early childhood (0-6 years) is the golden age for child development. However, parents' understanding of the importance of PAUD is still minimal, with many assuming that formal education only begins when children enter elementary school. This community service uses lecture and question-and-answer methods between parents, teachers, and community members about early childhood education. to facilitate the active involvement of parents in understanding and implementing early childhood education. Activities carried out in Wakeakea Village, including preparation, implementation of activities, and evaluation. The results of community service provide several solutions, including parental involvement in the education process, collaboration between teachers and parents, namely quality early childhood education involving parents and teachers, in order to create a safe learning environment. Parents as the first educators have a crucial role in providing appropriate stimulation, creating a supportive learning environment, and building responsive parenting patterns, for example, fulfilling financial needs and providing sufficient love and motivation for children to learn in order to create a quality generation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of Integrated Health Post and Family Welfare Program cadres in understanding and concretely implementing Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection at the village level. The program adopted a participatory and community-based approach through field observations, focus group discussions (FGDs), interactive legal training, and simulations of child violence case handling. The results indicate a significant improvement in the cadres’ understanding of various forms of child abuse, children's legal rights, and appropriate reporting mechanisms. Furthermore, the program succeeded in establishing a joint commitment to create a community-based child violence reporting system and fostered collaborative networks with child protection institutions at the district level. The impact of this initiative is evident in the increased legal awareness, the active participation of cadres as child protection agents, and the tangible support from the village government to prioritize child protection in future policy planning. This program is expected to serve as a replicable model for other villages in building a sustainable, community-based child protection system.

Abstract

This service aims to assist students in preventing bullying through the application of religious moderation values to form a tolerant and moral character. The importance of this assistance is carried out because bullying can have a serious impact on the development of students' character if it is not seriously considered. This service uses the Participatory Action Research method, which starts from the process of identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation or reflection involving students and teachers at MI Al-Muhsinun, Mojokerto City. The mentoring activities succeeded in increasing students' understanding of the dangers of bullying and the importance of religious moderation values, such as tolerance, mutual respect, and cooperation across differences. Students show a change in attitude that is more open, empathetic, and able to resolve conflicts peacefully. This program has a positive impact on creating a safer, more inclusive, and harmonious school environment. In addition, this activity also strengthens the character of moral students, upholds the value of diversity, and supports efforts to prevent radicalism and violence in the educational environment. This program can be replicated in other schools as a model of character education based on religious moderation.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to raise public awareness of environmental conservation, strengthen literacy culture through open spaces, and encourage active community participation in creatively managing plastic waste. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving residents, the village government, Waste Treatment Facilities for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (TPS3R) managers, lecturers, and students from the planning to the implementation stages. The outcomes included establishing an Ecoliteracy Park with 1,500 ecobricks from household plastic waste, arranged into benches, a gazebo, a village landmark, educational boards, and garden borders. A total of 25 participants actively contributed to the construction and arrangement of the park, which was also enriched with ornamental plants and environmental-themed murals. The impacts observed were the enhancement of ecological awareness, the emergence of new waste sorting and recycling practices among residents, and the growing involvement of young people who utilize the park as a learning and interaction space. Beyond the physical facility, this program strengthened social cohesion, collective ownership of public spaces, and environmental responsibility. The Ecoliteracy Park thus serves as a sustainable educational medium and a replicable model of environmentally based community development with significant social impact

Abstract

The program is purposed to improve health literacy, promote preventive behavior against degenerative diseases, and strengthen the internalization of progressive Islamic values. The methods included interactive health education, basic health screening, and spiritual sessions designed through a participatory approach with community partners. Program evaluation employed a pre–post knowledge test, descriptive analysis of health screening results, and participatory observation to assess changes in participants’ attitudes and engagement. The evaluation results showed an increase in the mean health knowledge score from 56.2 in the pre-test to 74.5 in the post-test, representing a 32.6% improvement. Health screening of 30 participants identified 55% with hypertension, 15% with diabetes, and 45% classified as overweight or obese. In addition to physical health outcomes, participants demonstrated increased spiritual awareness in understanding health as part of religious practice. The program also resulted in the establishment of an Islamic peer support group as a new social structure to ensure program sustainability. This community engagement contributes to a measurable, replicable community-based empowerment model that integrates promotive–preventive health strategies, progressive Islamic spirituality, and the formation of supportive social structures. The findings enrich community engagement practices and the literature in Indonesia by demonstrating that a holistic, participatory approach effectively enhances the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual capacities of elderly women.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to revitalize the digital platform of BAZNAS East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to ensure robust management and verifiable accountability of accumulated educational philanthropic funds totaling IDR 264,962,420, while concurrently addressing an emergent institutional legitimacy crisis. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was employed over 4 weeks (16 sessions) and led by BAZNAS NTT through participatory training and mentorship. Data comprised qualitative measures (in-depth interviews and reflexive journaling) to assess the epistemic shift in organizational narrative, alongside quantitative indicators (financial disbursement verification and SOP adoption checklist) to evaluate performance metrics. The analysis was systematically structured using institutional and thematic frameworks (transformative learning) to map the underlying tension between mandated legitimacy and realized operational capacity. The principal findings are conclusive: the legitimacy crisis was successfully resolved, evidenced by the triumphant reactivation of the Kitabisa.com account and the verified disbursement of collected funds to intended beneficiaries. The intervention induced a critical epistemic shift and consolidated organizational capability (digital stewardship), underscoring the importance of activating endogenous moral capital to foster stakeholder ownership and long-term institutional sustainability. The outcome substantiates the occurrence of Transformative Learning. The community services validate a replicable ABCD model for zakat institutions operating in minority and peripheral regions. Theoretically, institutional sustainability is critically dependent on the organization's capacity to activate its endogenous moral capital as a prerequisite for structural and digital interventions.
