Abstract

This study deals with the use picture and picture teaching method in reading comprehension narrative text class VIII SMP Swasta Darul Istiqomah Academic Year 2022/2023. Its objective is to find out whether the use picture and picture teaching method has a significance effect in reading comprehension narrative text. Population used in this study of class VIII were 49 and samples used in this study were 49 students. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a one group as pretest and posttest design .This study was carried on using quantitate method. The data was analysed by using t-test.The researcher found the pretest mean = 54,49 , deviation standard = 6,14 and experienced an increase in the posttest mean = 77,75 deviation standart = 3,53. From this analysis, writer found that guided picture and picture method has significane in teaching reading comprehension narrative text. It can be proved by the result of the analysis showed that “

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to describe process of increasing students’ vocabulary using Jumbled Words Media of SMPN 3 Bambel. The research methodology was classroom action research (CAR). The implementation of classroom action research was conducted in cycles 1. There were cycle I consisted of four meetings. This research involved eighth grade students which consisted of 23 students. The instrument of the research was data collecting technique, the data were tests (pre-test and post-tests), and questionnaire. The result of this research showed that there was a significant difference of the students’ achievement in pre-test and post-test. The average score of pre-test was 42.60%, while, after giving treatment in cycle I, the students average score in post-test I was 70%. It proved that mean score of both are very different. It means that Jumbled Word Media improves students’ vocabulary ability. Moreover, based on the analysis of the questionnaire, most of the students gave positive response (90%). Almost all students agreed that Jumbled Word strategy improves their ability in vocabulary and most of them said that Jumbled Word strategy were very helpful.

Abstract

Most of the schools in indonesia focus on teaching translation and grammar without providing a lot of chances for students to practice their pronunciation skill in the classroom activities. The teachers just translate what they read on the book. The purpose of this research is to see Whether ELSA Speak Application can improve students' pronunciation ability or not. This research applies the experiment design. And The design that is used in this study is one group pre-test and post-test design to masured students’ pronunciation ability. Population of this research in XI Akuntansi 1 is 324 Students and took sample as much 36 students. This research also uses quantitative method to analyse the data. The data of pre- test and post-test of this research showed any improvement and calculated by using t-test, it was founded that tobservation = 15,41 and ttable of level α 5% with df n – 1 (36 – 1 = 35) = 2,030. That means the hyphotesis of this research is received because tobservation higher than ttable 15,41 > 2,030. Based on the findings, researcher found that ELSA Speak Application can improve students’ pronunciation ability at SMK Negeri 1 Kutacane especially XI Akuntansi 1 Class. This ELSA Speaking Application showed improvement for the students’ pronunciation ability was measured by the score of the pre-test and post-test. And it was proven by because tobservation is higher than t -table..

Abstract

Grammar is a component of English that must be learned by every English learner. An English learner can be said to be competent if they are able to write and speak English with proper grammar.Grammar mastery is very important in writing skill, it can help the students to produce good sentence. In writing text, students usually make a lot of grammatical errors in their writing. Grammatical error is anything where a sentence is structure incorrectly. In this research the reseacher doing a research about “Grammatical Error Analysis In Writing Narrative Texts ( The Case Of Study At The X Grade Of Sma Negeri Gunung Meriah Academic Year 2023/2024”. This research use descriptive qualitative reserch method and use descriptive analysis technique (percentage) with the percentage of information frequency and divided by the number of cases as a technique analysis data. Researchers took class X-IPS consisting of 29 students as a source of data in this study. Based on the research data obtained, researcher found that, from 29 students in class X-IPS, 13 (44.82%) students made errors in sentence patterns, 3 (10.34%) students made errors in the tenses section, 7 (24, 13%) of students made errors in writing pronouns, 18 (62.06%) students made mistakes in writing capital letters, 2 (6.89%) students made errors in writing or placing prepositions, and as many as 9 (31.06%) ) students make errors in spelling. Based on the data obtained, the most common grammatical errors or grammatical errors are found in capitalization, namely 62.06% and sentence patterns, namely 44.82%.

Abstract

Rani Asila, NIM. 18317001044.Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Menelaah Unsur Cerpen Persahabatan Sejati Melalui Media Pembelajaran Gamfot (Gambar Fotografi) Oleh Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Kutacane Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Menelaah Unsur Cerpen Persahabatan Sejati Melalui Media Pembelajaran Gamfot (Gambar Fotografi) Oleh Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Kutacane Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 89 orang dan sampel berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest and postest design dengan analisis data menggunakan uji “t”. Dari pengelolahan data di peroleh nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan menelaah unsur cerpen sebesar = 76,33 dengan standar deviasi = 4,82. Berdasarkan hasil nilai tes tersebut jika di kaitkan dengan nilai KKM mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk SMP sebesar 70 maka kemampuan menelaah unsur cerpen siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Menelaah Unsur Cerpen Persahabatan Sejati Melalui Media Pembelajaran Gamfot (Gambar Fotografi) Oleh Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Kutacane Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023.
