Abstract

The facts show that Nusantara (Indonesia) culture keeps a lot of local wisdom values. One of the cultural forms of Nusantara culture owned by Sundanese people is traditional expression. In the Sundanese language, traditional expression implied eco-pedagogical values. This research will comprehensively expose the eco-pedagogic values in the traditional Sundanese expression. This research used descriptive method and documentation technique or bibliographical study. The data was analyzed by immediate constituent analysis and hermeneutic analysis techniques. This research data is a number of traditional idiomatic Sundanese languages containing eco-pedagogical value. The result of the research showed that Sundanese traditional idiomatic contained eco-pedagogical values that can be used as the basis for local wisdom. The value of eco-pedagogic refers to real-life values based on the natural environment perspective. The eco-pedagogical aspect refers to the natural environment, flora, and fauna. So, this suggests that traditional idiomatics contain words that relate to nature, flora and fauna. For example, humans should not be separated from nature (Lamun diarah supana, kudu dipiara catangna). From time to time human civilization evolves from dependening on the nature stage (Bisa ngindung ka usum ngabapa ka jaman), managing the nature stage, to controlling the nature stage (Bisa ngigelan jeung ngigelkeun jaman). The ecopedagogical values which become the repertoire of local wisdom refers to the natural environment, time, flora, and fauna education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of the Islamic Golden Age abbreviated as IGA, which is agreed upon by Western scholars and Muslim scholars and occurred in the history of Islamic culture and civilization. This research examines the possibility of grounding the characteristics and scientific paradigm of IGA in modern situations through several focuses of study, namely (1) the background of the development of the IGA concept, (2) the stage of development of the IGA concept, (3) the position of scientific activities in the map of cultural constellation (culture) and civilization (civilization) IGA, and (4) the characteristics and scientific paradigm of IGA. These four things are considered to be able to trigger the development stage of scientists, sciences, and inventions. The method used in conducting the research is descriptive-analytic of literature sources. This is done as a mapping of the entire overview of the IGA concept. This research approach is a history approach, both through a diachronic history approach and a synchronic history approach. In addition, it refers to the development of theories obtained deductively through literature studies. The basis of the research is then strengthened by conducting a form of inductive reasoning on the data obtained in this research in order to solve the final conclusions that are based on the data obtained.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an influence or improvement after using a computer learning program for color vocabulary, numbers, and objects. This research uses a quasi-experimental method, the research subjects are children of group B1 (experimental) and children of group B2 (control) at Kartika X-1 Bandung Kindergarten in the 2013/2014 academic year. The data that will be obtained are the results of observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Researchers conducted pretests and posttests on both groups which will be compared to increase the mastery of Sundanese vocabulary. The results showed an effect of the Sundanese language learning program on the mastery of Sundanese vocabulary in the experimental group. The experimental group got an average of 77.4% while the control group amounted to 61.40%.

Abstract

Education is more than just teaching—it involves helping students understand and develop character, honing their innate potential in the learning process. This paper aims to provide teachers with insights on how to understand child development through developmental psychology and child psycholinguistics approaches. Teachers can create a more effective and supportive learning environment by understanding cognitive, emotional, and language development stages. The developmental psychology approach helps teachers recognize the emotional and social needs of children, allowing them to offer appropriate support at each stage of development. Meanwhile, child psycholinguistics enables teachers to understand how children acquire and develop language abilities, thus helping them create more appropriate and effective teaching methods. By integrating these two approaches, teachers can better design curricula and teaching strategies that suit the developmental needs of each child. This not only enhances teaching effectiveness but also helps children fully develop their potential holistically, covering cognitive, emotional, social, and linguistic aspects. A deep understanding of developmental psychology and child psycholinguistics equips teachers with the necessary tools to support each student's educational journey, making education a more meaningful experience and building the character and skills needed for their future.
