Abstract

One of the factor anemia in adolescents is due to lack intake of iron nutrition.  the design of this study is quasi-experimental, pre-test and post test with control one group design. using  purposive sampling technique on 30 respondents was obtained which will later be divided into 2 groups.  The pusporse is to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results were obtained that the respondents in the experimental group of 14 respondents experienced mild anemia (93.33%), moderate anemia 1 person (6.67%), and the control group experienced mild anemia of 15 respondents (100%). Analysis using the Paired T test obtained the result of p = <0.000  which means that there is a relationship between giving kelakai leaves (STENOCLEANA PALUSTRI) to increase hb levels in anemia adolescents . Giving 100 grams of kelakai leaves in the form of soup is very effective in helping to increase HB levels in adolescents

Abstract

Stunting, caused by malnutrition during pregnancy and early childhood, leads to growth failure and cognitive delays. Key risk factors include maternal nutrition, breastfeeding practices, low birth weight (LBW), birth length, and neonatal health. This study analyzes the relationship between these factors and stunting in children aged 24-59 months in Puskesmas Semen, Kediri Regency, in 2023. Using a correlational design, data were collected in August 2023 through simple random sampling. Chi-square tests and logistic regression were used for analysis. The findings indicate that breastfeeding history, LBW, and birth length significantly impact stunting, with LBW as the strongest risk factor (RR = 2.19). Prevention efforts should focus on exclusive breastfeeding, reducing LBW, and improving maternal nutrition. Sustainable stunting interventions require collaboration among healthcare professionals, the government, and communities..

Abstract

Breast milk is a fluid produced by the mother's breast glands since pregnancy which is the best natural food containing the best nutrition for the baby. One of the efforts to help smooth breast milk is by breast care that is carried out periodically according to procedures, namely oketani massage and oxytoxin massage so that this study aims to determine the effect of oketani massage and oxytoxin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. The design of this study uses an experimental quasy with a two-group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample size was 7 respondents in the oketani massage group, 7 respondents in the oxytocin massage group. The Wilcoxon test for Bivariate analysis and the Independent Sample T test were used to confirm the difference in breast milk production volume. The results of the study showed that Oketani massage is more effective in increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Liver disease caused by the Hepatitis B virus is a major problem in the world, with an estimated 400 million people carrying this virus. attacks all ages, genders and races throughout the world. About 5% of the world's population suffers from hepatitis B without symptoms. The prevalence in Indonesia is around 5-17%. Pregnant women who are positive for hepatitis B infection are at greater risk of giving birth prematurely, having low birth weight (BBLR) and experiencing disability. Women who are detected to have hepatitis B e-antigen (HBeAg) are the most infectious. In reality, not all pregnant women know the importance of hepatitis B screening. Not all pregnant women are routinely screened for hepatitis B, so it is only discovered that pregnant women have hepatitis B at 28 to 37 weeks of pregnancy.

Abstract

Stunting results from nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy and early childhood, affecting physical growth and brain development. Maternal, child, and environmental factors contribute to stunting, which can impair physical, cognitive, and motor development, impacting a child's quality of life. This study analyzes the relationship between risk factors and stunting in children aged 24–59 months in Puskesmas Semen, Kediri Regency, in 2023. Using a correlational approach, 189 randomly selected children were analyzed with the Chi-Square test. Low maternal education increased stunting risk (RR 0.3, p < 0.05), while higher education levels were not significant. Non-exclusive breastfeeding (RR 2.9), low birth weight (RR 2.6), short birth length (RR 2.2), and maternal height <150 cm (RR 1.6) were key risk factors. Preventing stunting requires improving maternal education, promoting exclusive breastfeeding, and monitoring birth weight, birth length, and maternal height during pregnancy

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate that occurs in maternal mothers in Indonesia reaches 189 per 100 thousand live births. 80% percent of maternal deaths are caused by direct factors, one of which is stuck Labor. One of the efforts to reduce the incidence of Labor jams is to shorten or speed up the length of labor. Efforts to speed up the duration of delivery in the first period is by managing the rebozo technique.  Type of experimental research  with case control design and sampling technique  purposive sampling. The samples of 18 maternity mothers was divided into 2 groups, 9  in rebozo technique  and 9  in control group. The results of the study, the analysis with an independent t test, obtained ρ value 0.018 < sig 0.005. From these results, it can be concluded that the rebozo technique is effective in shortening the length of delivery time during First Stage Labor.

Abstract

Children under the age of five (under-fives) are particularly vulnerable to nutritional issues, especially in coastal areas where social, cultural, economic, educational, and hygiene factors play significant roles. The nutritional status of under-fives is influenced by several factors, including exclusive breastfeeding, maternal education and knowledge, family income, and the child’s history of infections. Poor nutrition negatively impacts growth, leading to stunted height and weight, impaired brain development, reduced intelligence, and increased susceptibility to infections. This study employed a descriptive analytic method with purposive sampling. The analysis used univariate analysis to examine the frequency distribution of nutritional status and the characteristics of the children. The results showed that 85.8% of the children had good nutritional status, 11% were undernourished, and 3.2% were severely malnourished. In conclusion, the majority of children in the coastal areas of Bengkulu City were found to have good nutritional status.
