Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students of SDN 1 Mojowetan on the material of stacked addition through the application of the demonstration method with a labyrinth board media. The subjects of the study were 23 students of class II A. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and tests, with data validity tested using source and method triangulation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and descriptive statistics. The pretest results showed that only 4 students with a percentage (17.39%) achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). After the application of the demonstration method and maze board, learning outcomes increased significantly, as many as 12 students with a percentage (52.17%) achieved completion in cycle 1, and increased to 20 students with a percentage (86.96%) in cycle 2. In addition to cognitive outcomes, the results of teacher skills in applying the demonstration method in cycle I got an average score of 17 with the category (Good), while in cycle 2 there was an increase with an average score of 19 with the category (Very Good) from a total score of 20. In conclusion, the application of the demonstration method with maze board media effectively improves the quality of learning and student outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematics has always been a frightening prospect for students, so mathematics learning outcomes are a constant concern for teachers and even educational institutions. This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of a cooperative learning model.Team Games Tournament (TGT)supported by the mediafraction card. This research is based on the low mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN Balong, with an average score of 48.42 from the KKM of 70. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 19 fifth-grade students of SDN Balong in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included documentation, interviews, observations, and tests. Data validity was tested by triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study indicate that the application of the TGT model assistedfraction cardcan improve teacher skills, student activity, and mathematics learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the learning outcomes achieved in cycle I, which reached 68.42% cognitive learning completion, increasing to 78.94% in cycle II. Student activity and teacher skills also experienced significant improvements. Thus, the TGT cooperative learning model is effective in improving the quality of mathematics learning

Mixed method was employed. 15 ninth-grade students were enrolled in this study. The research instruments were questionnaires, interviews, and some exercises. Some data analysis were conducted by calculating some data quantitative. Meanwhile some data qualitative were analyzed by checking and identifying the categories of errors purposed by Dulay et., in 1982. The results revealed that misinformation type of error was the most common error taking place which was 51(67,11%). Meanwhile, the addition type of error proved to be the least common type of error made by the students (1) 1,32%. The rest are omission (21) 27,63 % and misordering (3) 3,39% respectively. Meanwhile the causes of the students’ errors in writing consist of (1) Carelessness, such as lack of attention and too confidence, (2) First language interference in which it took place in terms of grammar and structure dereference, (3) Translation that is the problem lies on to translate word by word regarding Indonesian structure.

Abstract

One of the key literacy abilities that must be acquired starting in elementary school is reading comprehension.  However, a problem at Islamic Elementary School is the children's poor reading habits and lack of enthusiasm.  The purpose of this study is to ascertain how students' reading comprehension abilities relate to their hobbies and reading habits at the same time.  Thirty-fourth and fifth-grade children at MI Mirqotul Ulum Probolinggo participated in the study, which used a quantitative approach with a correlational method and purposive sampling.  SPSS version 25 was used to evaluate the instruments, which took the form of reading comprehension exams and surveys.  The findings demonstrated that the data were normally distributed and that the instruments were both valid and dependable.  Reading habits and interests were significantly correlated with reading comprehension skills, according to multiple regression tests (correlation coefficient 0.882 and significance 0.000).  These results underline the importance of an interesting and long-lasting literacy program and support constructivism theory and other studies.  It is advised that future research incorporate a larger range of respondents and take into account additional external factors like the involvement of parents and the learning environment, as this study is constrained in terms of sample size and geography

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a mathematics game illustrated with Jambi weaving art on the topic of curved-surface solid geometry to train the critical thinking skills of Grade IX students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which in this article was limited to the Development stage. The development process included needs analysis, design, and development of an adventure-based game equipped with reasoning problems, clues, and answer explanations. Product quality was evaluated through validation by content experts and media experts, as well as practicality testing by teachers and students. The results indicate that the developed game falls into the highly feasible category, with content expert validation of 93% and media expert validation of 88%, and is categorized as highly practical based on practicality tests by teachers (84%) and students (92.67%). Therefore, the mathematics game illustrated with Jambi weaving art is deemed feasible and practical for use as an interactive and contextual mathematics learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually analyze the integration of multicultural values based on character education in Social Sciences (IPS) learning in elementary schools. The focus of the study is directed at the mapping of essential multicultural values, their integration strategies in social studies learning, and their impact on the formation of students' character in the context of a multicultural Indonesian society. This research uses the library research method by examining various library sources in the form of academic textbooks, reputable national and international journal articles, curriculum documents, and relevant previous research results. The data analysis technique is carried out through systematic content analysis with the stages of identification, theme classification, interpretation, and conceptual synthesis of selected literature. The results show that multicultural values such as tolerance, empathy, equality, social justice, and respect for diversity have been substantially contained in the goals and scope of social studies learning, but are still implicit and have not been optimally integrated in learning practices. The integration of multicultural values based on character education through social studies has been proven to have the potential to strengthen the formation of students' social character, especially in the development of tolerant, democratic, and inclusive attitudes. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen a holistic, participatory, and contextual social studies learning design so that social studies learning is not only oriented to cognitive aspects, but also to internalizing values and forming students' multicultural character
