Abstract

This study focuses on the role of the principal as a manager in professionalism of Catholic Religious Education teachers at SDK Botung. The aim is to determine the extent of the principal’s role as a manager in improving the professionalism of Catholic Religious Education teachers through. The study used a descriptive qualitative method. This study was conducted at SDK Botung, invoving 3 research subjects consisting of the principal and 2 Catholic Religious Education teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation, then analyzed using data reducation techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the principal has not fully carried out his role as a manager. So it is necessary to improve the profession of Catholic Religious Education teachers.

Abstract

Geography learning in X-IPS class at SMAN 1 Sawan faces the problem of lack of visualisation of the impact of environmental damage due to limited media and classroom-based learning. Students' low awareness of environmental cleanliness is also an obstacle, indicated by the discovery of garbage in the classroom area. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness and influence of the application of EarthComm learning model assisted by Google Earth on the environmental care attitude of 10th grade students at SMAN 1 Sawan. This study used a pseudo-experimental research method with Pretest-Posttest Only Control Group Design. Hypothesis testing was conducted using descriptive analysis for model implementation, N-Gain Score for effectiveness data analysis and t-test for effect test. The results showed that the implementation of the EarthComm learning model assisted by Google Earth was included in the very good category with a score of ’83,33’ in geography learning, quite effective in increasing students' environmental care attitudes with a value of 65.95% in the experimental class compared to 17.8% in the control class, and had a significant effect on students' environmental care attitudes with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECD) plays a crucial role in forming the foundation of children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. In practice, the selection of the right learning model greatly determines the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process at an early age. The purpose of this study was to examine various learning models applied in ECD education. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method with literature studies as the main technique, data was collected through a review of journals, books, and educational documents related to ECD learning models such as Cooperative, center models, and area models. The results of the study show that each model has its own advantages, but its effectiveness is greatly influenced by teacher readiness, learning environment, and parental involvement. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of teacher training and curriculum development that is adaptive to children's needs and the characteristics of each learning model. Recommendations are given to educational institutions to select and adapt learning models in the context of supporting overall child development.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the political behavior of the community in the Village Head Election (Pilkades) in Krembangan Village, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. The Regional Elections as a manifestation of people's sovereignty are an important object in understanding the political participation of the community at the village level. The research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The subject of the study is the people of Krembangan Village who are directly involved in the Pilkades. The results of the study show that the 2022 Regional Elections in Krembangan Village went smoothly, with active participation from residents who are eligible as voters. Of the 3,000 valid votes, the candidate with number 4, Sutrisno, received the most votes, namely 842 votes, followed by Damri (839 votes), M. Zaini Effendi (645 votes), Akhmad Umar (500 votes), and M. Suherman (174 votes). Factors that affect voting behavior include emotional relationships with candidates, candidates' religious understanding, and social environment. Education level and political awareness also affect participation. Some residents showed their support openly, while others voted privately but remained active. Although participation is quite high, there are still weaknesses such as low campaign quality and lack of public understanding of the candidate's visions and missions.

Abstract

.SOE Synergy policy has drawn significant attention over the years due to its potential to create conflicts with the principles of fair competition. However, the provision still remains, particularly regarding direct appointment as stipulated in Article 155 paragraph (2) letter j of the Minister of SOE Regulation Number PER-2/MBU/3/2023 concerning Guidelines for Governance and Significant Corporate Activities of SOEs. This doctrinal research, presented descriptively based on secondary data obtained through a literature review of various legal materials, aims to examine the perspective of competition law on the SOE Synergy policy in the context of direct appointment as stated in the aforementioned regulation. Specifically, this research seeks to analyze whether the provisions on direct procurement in the regulation comply with the provisions of Law Number 5 of 1999 concerning the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition. The findings suggest that the direct appointment provisions in Article 155 paragraph (2) letter j of the regulation may create barriers to entry for other businesses and potentially stifle fair competition. The regulation on SOEs Synergy should be complemented by more detailed provisions on the implementation mechanism to ensure that the objectives of the policy can be achieved efficiently while maintaining a fair competition. Furthermore, a thorough cooperation between the Ministry of SOE and the Competition Commission is needed to ensure its adherence to the principles of fair competition.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Inquiry Learning Model combined with the Respect Education approach on the achievement of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of eighth-grade students in the Integrated Social Sciences subject at SMP Negeri 1 Tilamuta. The study employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 65 students. The results indicate that students who were taught using the Inquiry Learning Model showed greater improvement in HOTS achievement compared to those who received Expository Learning Model instruction in the Integrated Social Sciences subject for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tilamuta. This finding is supported by the results of a paired sample t-test, which revealed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (P < 0.05), confirming a significant difference between the control and experimental groups. Therefore, the inquiry-based learning model, which emphasizes exploration and student autonomy, combined with the Respect Education approach that highlights appreciation of students' potential, is proven effective in improving Higher Order Thinking Skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which the role of product and service quality in influencing consumer decisions to make purchases at Karsa Utama. This study applies a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through surveys. Data processing was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of statistical software. The results of the analysis show that both product quality and service quality have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Partially, product quality has an effect of 39.6% and service quality of 26.3%. Simultaneously, the two independent variables contributed 65.9% to consumer purchasing decisions, while 34.1% was influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding indicates that improving product and service quality can directly encourage consumers' tendency to make purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Sekolah Plus Ngaji (School Plus Quran Recitation) Program at SDN 9 Tambakasri and its impact on improving students’ Quran reading abilities. The main issue behind this research is the low proficiency of elementary school students in reading the Quran, caused by limited religious education time, lack of parental support at home, and ineffective teaching methods. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and Quran reading tests. The results indicate that the program is conducted regularly three times a week using habit-building strategies, group mentoring, and periodic evaluations. A significant improvement was observed in students' Quran reading skills after participating in the program, as shown by a decrease in the number of students at the basic reading level and an increase in those with fluent reading ability. Additionally, there was a positive shift in students' attitudes toward religious learning, including greater confidence and improved understanding of Quranic recitation rules. The success of the program was also supported by active parental involvement and strong collaboration between teachers, schools, and families. However, challenges such as limited instructional time and a lack of supportive learning resources remain. In conclusion, the Sekolah Plus Ngaji Program is effective in enhancing students’ Quran reading skills and religious character formation when supported by proper implementation strategies and stakeholder cooperation.

Abstract

This study investigates how children’s personal aspirations are often overshadowed or replaced by their parents’ expectations, resulting in life paths that reflect family ambitions rather than individual desires. Focusing on university students, it explores the psychological tension and identity conflict caused by internalizing parental hopes as life goals. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the study captures diverse socio-economic experiences. Three main themes emerge: (1) emotional obligation to fulfill parental dreams, (2) identity confusion stemming from restricted personal agency, and (3) delayed self-actualization. While some students feel motivated by parental trust, others experience anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and suppressed personal aspirations. These findings form the conceptual framework of “borrowed dreams,” illustrating how intergenerational expectations shape identity and motivation. The study emphasizes the importance of improved family communication and culturally sensitive strategies to balance parental influence with youth autonomy. Recognizing young people’s right to define their own futures is vital for healthy identity development and well-being.

Abstract

Digitalization in education is a pressing issue in Indonesia, especially in the context of the rapid technological advancements driven by the 4.0 industrial revolution. This research focuses on the impact of digitalization on learning effectiveness and student creativity at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. The primary objective is to assess how digital tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) influence the quality of teaching and foster creativity among students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of LMS at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang has positively affected learning by offering more flexible access to learning materials and enhancing student engagement. However, challenges related to teacher training and unequal access to technology for students remain significant barriers. The research suggests that for digitalization to be fully effective, continuous professional development for educators and equal access to digital devices for students are essential. The implications of this study emphasize the need for supportive policies and infrastructures to optimize the benefits of digital education.
