Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of sharia financial literacy, Islamic branding and religiosity on students' decisions to use sharia banking services among PBS and MBS UMSU students. The research approach in this thesis is a quantitative approach and the data used is primary data. The population used in this research was students of Sharia Banking and Sharia Business Management at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra, namely 335 students, and the sampling technique used the Slovin formula with a sample size of 182 students. Data analysis techniques using descriptive tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The data processing uses the SPSS version 22.0 program.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the problems regarding the use of the veil in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, especially in the Faculty of Islamic Religion. Regarding the technical information retrieval, the authors sent questionnaire data to individuals related to the research. Based on the results of the study, there are many things behind female students in using the veil. That is based on the Qur'an surah Al Ahzab verse 59 Allah SWT. said that it is obligatory for Muslim women to extend the veil over their bodies to avoid the fitna of the world and they also interpret the veil as a safeguard against themselves. Regarding the use of this veil, not a few agencies stand on the contra side. Especially on campus. At the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, students who wear the niqab are advised not to wear the veil when they are on campus. This is based on the context of Muhammadiyah which argues that there is no recommendation for Muslim women to wear the veil. Because of this statement, veil users feel that they are limited in carrying out activities in the campus environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies implemented by SMP Muhammadiyah 49 Medan in preventing student delinquency and creating a healthy educational environment. Student delinquency is a significant challenge for educational institutions, requiring effective management. A qualitative approach was used in this study, employing in-depth interviews and direct observations to gather data from teachers, students, and school staff. The study results reveal that the school employs various strategies, including counseling guidance, strict supervision, and collaboration with students' parents. Additionally, the school provides character development programs and extracurricular activities to foster positive student behavior. These findings highlight the importance of synergy between the school, family, and community in creating an educational environment that supports healthy student development. This strategy is expected to serve as a model for other schools in efforts to prevent student delinquency and build a conducive educational environment.

Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The population collected in this study were students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk. The sample for this research was 35 grade VIII students who were taken using student and teacher interview techniques, direct observation of the research location, and research documentation. To obtain data on the Implementation of the Dhuha Prayer Program for class VIII students, researchers used interview techniques, practice, and questionnaires or questionnaires. Meanwhile, the way to implement Discipline Character Formation is by direct application during the hours of Duha prayer activities. Based on the findings of the researchers during the research at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam, there were several findings that the researchers obtained in accordance with the existing problems. Implementation and Training for the Implementation of the Congregational Dhuha Prayer Program in Forming the Discipline Character of Students at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam. In providing material for the discipline of Duha prayer and its training, in this case the researcher specializes in class VIII SMP, it is easy to accept material and easy to self-discipline in carrying it out and feels that he has to be even better at disciplining his Duha prayer activities. enthusiastic because students are not used to disciplining themselves for Duha prayer for certain reasons such as the time for Duha prayer which is determined by the school to take part of their break time

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of interest of students in starting themselves in getting used to reading the Koran every day and students having difficulty reading the Koran properly and correctly. The ability to read the Koran in students is very lacking. Character education from parents is very significant in shaping students' cognitive intellectuals, but there are still many parents who do not have time for their children so that their children's education is less than optimal. The ability and interest of students in reading the Al-Quran is described as low. Routine activities to get used to reading the Qur'an do the effect can produce different results of students' abilities and activities. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 24 Medan. The observation method is carried out to receive data related to research, with the observation method researchers can find out students' interests in getting used to and reading the Al-Quran every day. Efforts to cultivate habits in the importance of Al-Qur'an education in early childhood at SMP Negeri 24 Medan really need to be implemented. From habits in learning the Koran to be a reference to shape the character of students so that they have better moral.

Abstract

This research is motivated by acts of bullying that have recently occurred in school environments, with this the government provides child-friendly school solutions. Child-friendly schools or a simpler scope of child-friendly classes. To create a child-friendly class that fills a safe, comfortable and fun place for students, the teacher plays a very important role in creating a child-friendly class. The focus of the research in this paper is how the teacher's efforts in creating a friendly class for children aged 4-5 years using anti-bullying talking box media in Baitul Aziz Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's efforts in creating child-friendly classes with anti-bullying box media. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, namely to describe the teacher's efforts in creating child-friendly classes with anti-bullying talking box media using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. The results of the study show that the teacher's efforts to create child-friendly classes are: a) through classroom learning, through prayer before and after learning, informing acts of bullying, giving direct examples. b) through activities outside the classroom, shaking hands with peers and teachers, praying Duha, reminding bad words and deeds. c) through the anti-bullying talk box media.

Abstract

The Full Day School policy has been implemented in various elementary schools to enhance learning effectiveness, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Full Day School policy on PAI learning in elementary schools, focusing on effectiveness, student engagement, and understanding of religious concepts. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Full Day School policy positively impacts the duration of PAI learning but also presents challenges such as student fatigue and the need for more varied teaching methods. The study highlights the importance of innovative teaching strategies and flexible approaches to ensure that PAI learning remains effective and engaging for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the management of using audio-visual media based on Canva applications in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at junior high schools in the Hamparan Perak district. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, focusing on exploring how Canva-based audio-visual media is utilized and managed to improve students’ learning experiences and engagement in IRE classes. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation to gather insights from teachers and students. The findings indicate that the integration of Canva-based audio-visual media in IRE lessons positively impacts students’ understanding and engagement. Teachers noted that Canva’s flexibility allows them to design visually appealing, interactive, and relevant materials that resonate with students. Additionally, the study found that well-planned management of media use, including scheduling, preparation, and assessment of student responses, significantly enhances the effectiveness of learning. This research suggests that the adoption of Canva-based audio-visual media in IRE can be a valuable strategy to foster a more dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Abstract

Monotheism education is very much needed in the problem of educating children. With monotheistic education, children can know goodness and have noble morals. If children understand the science of monotheism, children will be sensitive to various situations they face, whether they are good or bad. This makes it easier for children to sort and choose which ones should be imitated and which ones should not. This research aims to determine early childhood education from the perspective of the Koran. The type of research used is library research, namely research carried out by collecting data or scientific writing aimed at the object of research or collecting data of a library nature. The results of this research are Tawheed Learning Strategies in UPT SPF SMP NEGERI 2 Beringin Satu Atap. In early childhood learning, learning strategies are adapted to the child's developmental age, namely: 1) Exemplary, 2) Habituation, 3) Singing, 4) Tales or stories. In Islam, it is important to instill the concept of monotheism in early childhood, because the most important thing is to introduce what monotheism is. Monotheism is the foundation for Muslims, if a person truly has monotheism then he will obtain salvation in this world and the hereafter, however, without monotheism he will definitely fall into shirk and will encounter accidents in this world and accidents in the afterlife. In the Koran, there are several aspects that parents must pay attention to when educating children, such as aspects of the development of children's social behavior, morality (akhlaq) and religious appreciation.

Abstract

Catechin is secondary metabolites known as antioxidants in tea leaves and their products. One of the most popular processed tea leaves is kombucha tea, which contains catechin as antioxidants. The purpose of writing this review article is to discuss the catechins contained in processed kombucha tea as antioxidants which are believed to be used as natural agents in preventing skin aging. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively using deductive analysis techniques by searching for reference articles through 14 databases: Sciencedirect, Researchgate, Google Scholar, Elsevier, PubMed, Emeraldinsight, Sage Research Methods, IG Library, Springer Link, MBC, MDPI, NIH, CyTA and Oxford UniversityPress. The analysis shows that kombucha tea containing these catechin is proven to have good potential and activity as an antiaging functional food. The results of investigations pertain to the effect of catechin on apoptosis induced by oxidative stress in fibroblasts which trigger skin conditions. Catechin compounds protect the skin against cell damage induced by oxidative stress in fibroblasts. Oxidative stress is the mechanism underlying skin aging because it triggers apoptosis in various cell types, including fibroblasts, which play an important role in maintaining healthy and youthful skin. It is also known that the process of tea fermentation by microorganisms in kombucha tea results in an increase of tea bioactivity, namely high antioxidants. Catechin prevent aging by inhibiting the phosphorylation of p38 and c-Jun terminal kinases (JNK). The results show that the abundance of catechin has potential as an agent for the prevention of skin aging.
