Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative teaching strategies that effectively foster religious awareness among students at SMP 49 Medan. Religious awareness is a crucial aspect of character education, especially in shaping students’ attitudes and behaviors in alignment with religious values. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The innovation process involves developing collaborative learning strategies, interactive discussions, and personal reflection, tailored to the students’ needs in understanding and internalizing religious values. The results of the study indicate that these innovative strategies successfully enhance students' religious understanding and practices, as reflected in the increased frequency of worship and active participation in school religious activities. Furthermore, the interactive and relevant learning approach encourages students to better understand religious values in the context of everyday life. This study concludes that implementing innovative teaching strategies can be an effective alternative for fostering religious awareness among junior high school students, and it makes a positive contribution to character education. Recommendations are provided for teachers to continue innovating in developing appropriate methods to enhance religious awareness in the school environment.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate how effective the use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model is in Fiqh subjects. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques use obeservation and interviews. The research subjects were Fiqh subjects teacher and Binjai State MTs students. The results of the research show that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in Fiqh subjects implemented at MTs Negeri Binjai is quite effective as students are able to understand the subject matter by interpreting the meaning of the material using their own language, applying and practicing it in everyday life.

Abstract

Ketidak pedulian membaca adalah hasil dari keadaan sebuah masyarakat yang gerakannya melompat dari negara yang telah terbentuk sebelumnya ke massa periode pasca-sastra tanpa periode sastra, kondisi ini lambat laun diperparah dengan mengatakan tidak. Orang tua menghargai kegiatan membaca, mereka mengembangkan minat membaca sejak usia muda lebih efektif ketika orang tua secara aktif terlibat dalam motivasi dan bimbingan anak-anak agar lebih suka membaca. Para ahli berpendapat bahwa itu lebih bermanfaat bagi anak-anak ketika diberikan kepada mereka belajar membaca sejak dini (sedini mungkin). Namun, hal ini tergantung dari kesiapan mental masing-masing anak. Untuk para ahli pelatihan membagi fase awal membaca anak menjadi tiga periode waktu, yaitu: Sebelum Periode Membaca, Periode Membaca Awal, dan Periode Membaca Selanjutnya. Untuk anak sekolah dasar di kelas bawah, gambar memainkan peran penting belajar untuk membaca dan menulis. Buku bergambar mendorong mereka untuk belajar lebih banyak. Buku bergambar yang baik akan membantu anak memahami dan memperkaya pengalaman sejarah. Tujuan dari buku bergambar adalah untuk mendorong apresiasi dan cinta terhadap buku Buku itu tidak hanya harus menarik, tetapi juga mengandung kata "cerita". Gambar yang mempengaruhi minat siswa dalam membaca cerita, karena gambar dalam cerita anak harus hidup dan komunikatif. Gambar dalam cerita anak harus sesuai dengan tema, latar, tokoh, dan alur cerita. berfungsi sebagai ilustrasi dalam buku cerita bergambar (picture book). Mendeskripsikan aktor, setting, dan aktivitas yang digunakan untuk membangun set cerita (plot) cerita. Anda bisa memberi anak buku bergambar yang bagus kesenangan/hiburan dan pengalaman estetis. Buku bergambar memiliki tiga keunggulan, yaitu: (1) membantu anak dengan input vokal, (2) memberikan input visual untuk anak, dan (3) merangsang keterampilan anak visual dan verbal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the concept of implementing the role of the PAI teacher in the formation of religious character, to describe the role of the PAI teacher in the formation of the religious character of students, this research uses a qualitative approach. Methods of collecting interview data and documentation sourced from secondary data. The results of the study 1) the role of the PAI teacher in shaping student character through classical, 2) the exemplary displayed by the PAI teacher through attitudes in the learning process, supervision, direction and motivation of the service process. The conclusion of this study is that the teacher's role in cultivating religious character has been maximized by using the role of educator as well as teaching by taking the time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials in fostering an attitude of tolerance among students at SMP 07 Muhammadiyah Medan. The research employed a qualitative approach, utilizing content analysis of the teaching materials and interviews with PAI teachers and students. The study found that the PAI materials in this school generally supported the cultivation of tolerance values, emphasizing understanding, respect, and acceptance of diversity. However, the content needed further refinement in addressing interfaith and intercultural tolerance. The findings suggest that PAI teaching materials play a significant role in promoting an inclusive attitude among students, but continuous improvement is needed to ensure that tolerance is integrated more comprehensively. The study highlights the importance of evaluating and enhancing teaching resources to align with the goals of fostering peace and mutual respect in a diverse society.

Abstract

This research reviews various aspects of innovation in IT-based PAI learning, including the use of mobile applications, e-learning platforms, and interactive multimedia. This innovative approach aims to increase understanding of religious concepts, facilitate interaction between teachers and students, and expand the accessibility of learning materials. Qualitative research methods are used to analyze the impact of this innovation on learning effectiveness, student participation, and improving the quality of religious education. The findings show that the integration of IT in PAI learning not only increases student interest, but also helps strengthen religious and ethical values. However, challenges such as technology accessibility, teacher training, and content monitoring remain concerns. This research highlights the importance of collaboration between stakeholders, including governments, educational institutions, and the IT industry, to develop sustainable, innovative solutions. Thus, innovation in IT-based PAI learning can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of Islamic religious education in the current digital era.

Abstract

Islamic religious education has a very important role in shaping individual personality and morals, both in the family and in society. However, there are many challenges and problems faced in implementing Islamic religious education, both at the family and wider community levels. The basis for this research uses library research using references from several journals and books covering Islamic religious education in the family and society. Based on this article, it can be concluded that Islamic religious education has a broad impact, not only limited to the formation of individual character, but also forms the basis of morals and ethics in society.

Abstract

 In improving the fine motoric quality of Early Childhood, teachers must have high creativity in conveying learning by using activities that make children motivated and eager to learn. One of them is with weaving activities which have the aim of improving fine motor skills in early childhood. This study uses qualitative methods and is descriptive with data collection techniques by observation, interviews, purpose of this study was to determine the development of children's fine motor skills through weaving mats and mangoes in kindergarten. Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 05 Medan. The results of the study show that children's fine motor development can develop through this weaving activity. Although still need guidance and direction from the teacher. And it is hoped that kindergarten teachers After this research is carried out, it is necessary to have an in-depth teaching intensity for children's motor development in the school. One of them is by using weaving activities and not sticking to the diary at school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of gamification in Islamic History learning and its impact on students' learning motivation at SMK PAB 5 Klumpang. Gamification is a learning approach that integrates game elements such as points, badges, and challenges into the learning process to enhance student engagement and motivation. This research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental group that receives gamification-based learning and a control group that undergoes conventional learning. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and observations during the learning process. The findings indicate that students who participated in gamification-based learning exhibited higher learning motivation levels compared to the control group. Thus, the implementation of gamification in Islamic History learning has proven effective in enhancing students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore innovative strategies in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) to address behavioral issues at SMP Muhammadiyah 49 Medan. The research identifies the behavioral challenges faced by students in the school, including disruptive behavior, lack of discipline, and low engagement in religious activities. Through qualitative methods, the study analyzes various teaching strategies employed by PAI teachers, focusing on those that integrate Islamic values and creative approaches to enhance student behavior. The findings highlight the effectiveness of interactive learning methods, such as role-playing, storytelling, and group discussions, in fostering positive behavior. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of character-building activities, such as religious counseling, community service, and motivational sessions, in shaping students' attitudes. The research concludes that implementing innovative strategies in PAI can significantly improve students' behavior, making them more disciplined and engaged in both academic and religious practices. This approach not only addresses behavioral problems but also contributes to the holistic development of students in line with Islamic principles. The study suggests that schools adopt more varied and student-centered teaching methods to promote a positive learning environment.
