Abstract

The ability to read the Quran correctly is an essential skill for every Muslim. At the Tajurhalang Village Quran House, the Talaqqi method is used as the primary approach in Quran learning, where teachers directly guide students to ensure recitation follows the rules of Tajweed. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Talaqqi method on Quran reading skills at the Tajurhalang Village Quran House. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews and observations of students and teachers at the Quran House. This study focused on the process of implementing the Talaqqi method and its impact on improving Quran reading skills. The results indicate that the Talaqqi method has a positive impact on Quran reading skills. This is evident in the students' improved ability to read the Quran more fluently, accurately, and in accordance with the rules of Tajweed. Based on interviews with 20 students, the data obtained by the researchers showed that 14 students stated that the implementation of the Talaqqi method was very effective and had a positive impact on their Quran reading skills. The other six students stated that they still needed improvement and specific guidance from their teachers. The success of this method is supported by adequate facilities, learning resources, teacher support, and motivation and support from parents. A barrier to the Talaqqi method is the students' limited study time, which prevents them from achieving optimal results.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a serious problem that frequently occurs on campuses. This problem has negative physical and psychological impacts on victims, such as trauma, depression, and injuries to intimate areas. Several factors contribute to the occurrence of sexual violence, such as power relations, lax law enforcement against perpetrators, a lack of awareness of the dangers of sexual violence, and the perpetrator's inability to control sexual desires. Maximum efforts are needed to prevent sexual violence so that campuses become safe and comfortable places for students to study. This study aims to determine the efforts made by Muhammadiyah universities to prevent sexual violence through an Islamic education approach. This type of research uses qualitative research. In collecting data, the researcher used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research location is Muhammadiyah University, Tangerang. The results show efforts made by Muhammadiyah universities to prevent sexual violence through Islamic education by incorporating Islamic education content into the curriculum of undergraduate and master's programs in the form of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah courses. Further efforts include implementing Islamic guidance for all institutional leaders, lecturers, and staff on campus. Furthermore, they implemented Islamic-based programs, such as Quran memorization programs for the entire campus community and seminars on the dangers of sexual violence. These efforts have been highly effective in preventing sexual violence on campus.

Abstract

The wave of globalization brings multidimensional disruptions that redefine the global educational landscape, and Islamic education is no exception. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the opportunities and challenges of Islamic education amid globalization, as well as formulate its theoretical and practical implications for educational institutions. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive-analytical with a library research approach. Data were gathered through a literature review of reputable academic sources, which were subsequently analyzed using content analysis and critical discourse analysis techniques. The results indicate that globalization offers significant opportunities, including theological digitalization, the cosmopolitanism of Islamic values, and the integration of science and religion (such as eco-theology). Conversely, Islamic education faces serious challenges, namely covert epistemological secularization, digital moral decadence (cyber-decadence), and the pragmatic commodification of education. This study concludes that the repositioning of Islamic education requires an integrative-inclusive curriculum reconstruction and the internalization of a positive culture based on local-universal values. Consequently, policymakers and practitioners are urged to transform learning systems to be adaptive to technology without losing their prophetic traditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of education and the learning process from the perspective of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to Ibn Qayyim's primary works and relevant secondary sources. The findings indicate that education, according to Ibn Qayyim, is inherently holistic, encompassing not only the acquisition of knowledge but also the cultivation of human fitrah, the strengthening of faith, the development of moral character, and the balanced growth of both physical and spiritual dimensions. The learning process is conceptualized as a gradual formation of personality aligned with stages of human development, beginning from the preconception phase to maturity (baligh). In educational practice, Ibn Qayyim emphasizes several key methods, namely habituation, role modeling, counseling (advice), educative punishment, and learning by doing. These findings highlight the strong relevance of Ibn Qayyim's educational thought in addressing contemporary challenges, particularly in strengthening character education, contextual learning, and the cultivation of adab within modern Islamic institutions. Therefore, his educational framework offers a significant theoretical foundation for developing an integrative, humanistic, and value-oriented model of Islamic education.

Abstract

The issue of the relationship between men and women remains a continuously evolving theme in contemporary Islamic discourse, particularly concerning gender constructions and their relevance to modern social dynamics. The discrepancy between the normative ideals of the Qur'an and certain interpretative practices influenced by patriarchal culture necessitates a more comprehensive and contextualized reinterpretation. This study aims to analyze the essence of the creation of men and women, examine the theological constructions of masculinity (al-rajūlah) and femininity (al-unūthah) in the Qur'an, and formulate a gender relations paradigm based on the principle of takāmul (complementarity). This research employs a qualitative approach based on library research using the thematic exegesis (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī) method by collecting, classifying, and analyzing Qur'anic verses related to gender, supported by both classical and contemporary exegetical literature. The findings reveal that the Qur'an positions men and women equally in terms of humanity, spirituality, and moral responsibility, as reflected in the concepts of nafs wāḥidah (a single origin), karāmah insāniyyah (human dignity), and piety as the ultimate criterion of virtue. Masculinity, from the Qur'anic perspective, is not understood as male superiority but rather as an ethical responsibility encompassing leadership, integrity, and protection. Meanwhile, femininity is understood as the embodiment of compassion, chastity, wisdom, and social contribution that extends beyond the domestic sphere. This study concludes that gender relations in Islam are founded upon the principle of mutual complementarity rather than domination or subordination, thereby providing a conceptual foundation for developing a more just, proportional, and socially responsive contemporary Islamic discourse.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of human intellect in the Qur’an, formulate the concept of cosmotelegence as a Qur’anic paradigm, and examine its implications for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The research employed a qualitative approach using the maudhu’i (thematic) interpretation method and Qur’anic epistemology through library research. Data were collected from Qur’anic verses concerning human intellect and the interpretations of classical, modern, and contemporary exegetes, particularly Ibn Kathir, Al-Maraghi, and M. Quraish Shihab. The findings reveal that the Qur’an presents intellect not merely as the capacity for reasoning but as an intellectual process encompassing reflection, understanding, moral awareness, and spiritual responsibility. Based on these findings, the study formulates the concept of cosmotelegence, which integrates revelation, human reason, and the realities of life. This concept emphasizes that true intelligence is directed not only toward acquiring knowledge but also toward cultivating morality and promoting the common good. Its implications for AI include strengthening a benefit-oriented AI development paradigm, reinforcing ethical principles based on Qur’anic values, and affirming humans as moral agents responsible for decision-making. Therefore, cosmotelegence offers a relevant Qur’anic framework for fostering a technologically advanced digital civilization grounded in moral, spiritual, and humanitarian values.
