Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of daily journal writing habits in improving the self-confidence of fifth-grade elementary school students in expressing their opinions through a philosophical education approach that includes ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspectives, as well as physiological, sociological, and anthropological principles. The research method used is qualitative descriptive based on literature review. The object of research is the concept of daily journal writing in the context of elementary education, while the subjects are fifth-grade elementary students in general. Data were collected through document studies of articles and books, and analyzed using content analysis with source triangulation for data validity. The results show that daily journals help increase students’ self-confidence by facilitating self-reflection, supporting knowledge construction, and instilling values of honesty and courage. These findings support the implementation of daily journals as a reflective learning strategy grounded in the philosophy of basic education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas V sekolah dasar untuk mengemukakan pendapat dengan pendekatan filsafat pendidikan yang meliputi tinjauan ontologis, epistemologis, aksiologis, serta prinsip fisiologis, sosiologis, dan antropologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka. Obyek penelitian adalah konsep kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam konteks pendidikan dasar, sedangkan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar secara umum. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi artikel dan observasi literatur ilmiah terkait. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis konten dengan triangulasi sumber untuk validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jurnal harian mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan memfasilitasi refleksi diri, membangun konstruksi pengetahuan, serta menanamkan nilai kejujuran dan keberanian. Temuan ini mendukung penerapan jurnal harian sebagai strategi pembelajaran reflektif yang berlandaskan filsafat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning media based on 3D Page Flip HTML5 and to analyze its effectiveness in improving students' learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at MIN 1 Baubau. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 19 fifth-grade students. The instruments used included learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed that the use of 3D Page Flip HTML5 media successfully increased students' engagement and understanding of the material. In the first cycle, 63.15% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) with an average score of 68.94. After improvements were made in the second cycle, the mastery increased to 89.47% with an average score of 80.52. It can be concluded that the 3D Page Flip HTML5 media is effective in enhancing learning outcomes and is suitable for use in Islamic Religious Education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the implementation of the benefits of time in daily activities in the letter al-'ashr according to the interpretation of al-mishbah. This study uses the library research method in obtaining data. The approach taken by the author is an interpretive approach and descriptive-analytical method analysis. Descriptive-analytical method analysis is an analysis that describes the thoughts of the Al-Mishbah interpretation figure, namely M. Quraish Shihab regarding understanding the implementation of the benefits of time in the letter al-'ashr which is analyzed critically, then looking for the roots of M. Quraish Shihab's thoughts. The results of this study are that Quraish Shihab's interpretation of the letter al-'ashr provides a deep understanding of the importance of time, how to use it, and how to avoid losses caused by wasting it.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in mathematics learning outcomes of students who areusing taughtGeoboard and mathematics learning outcomes without using geoboard on rectangular flat material. The research method is an experiment conducted in class VII in the even semester of 2024/2025 academic year. The research design is counterbalanced design. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tilongkabila. The research sample was class VII-1 and VII-3, both were given the same treatment in a different order. Class VII-1 was initially taught using the guided discovery method with the help of a geoboard and class VII-3 was initially taught using the expository method. Then, the treatment was rotated after aheld post-test was . Sampling technique using Cluster Sampling. The research instrument is a multiple choice test of mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis in hypothesis testing used the -t Polled Variance test with = 0.05 and dk = 39. This shows that tcount > ttabel. This means that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Guided Discovery method assisted by geoboardsrotation before and afterare higher than the Expository learning method. This means that the Guided Discovery method assisted by geoboards excels in teaching quadrilaterals in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Tilongkabila.

Abstract

This correlation study aimed to determine the relationship between students' mathematic communication skills and learning outcomes in mathematic in the research site. The research was conducted in class VII A of MTs Hubulo Islamic Junior High School in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. Simple random sampling was elected as the sampling technique. The instruments consisted of mathematics communication skills and learning outcomes tests. Moreover, the data were collected by giving tests to the research sample. Based on the hypothesis test, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between mathematics communication skills and student learning outcomes in the research area. The regression equation of Ŷ = 22,314 + 0,347X. This equation showed that per one increase in a student's mathematics communication ability score will be followed by an increase in the mathematics learning result score of 0,347 units at a constant of 22,314. Based on the findings, it is obtained that the correlation coefficient (r) of 0,408 with r Square = 0,166. These results indicated that 16.60% of mathematics communication skills contributed to mathematics learning outcomes, and the remaining 83,40% was influenced by other unexamined variables in this study; this indicated that mathematics communication skills had a weak relationship with student learning outcomes in mathematics lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of video-assisted guided inquiry learning model on scientific attitudes and learning outcomes in the concept of work and energy. This research was conducted by FKIP Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Pohuwato University in the 2024/2025 academic year with a sample of 50 students, consisting of 25 students in the experimental class and 25 people in the replication class. This study uses the method This study uses a "one groups pretest-posttest design" design, where a pretest will be given before and a posttest will be given after treatment is given. This design uses one experimental class and one replication class. The data collection technique was carried out through purposive sampling, and the instrument used was an essay test consisting of 13 questions consisting of C1, C2, C3 and C4 and 40 statement items representing 15 indicators of scientific attitudes. The answers to the test results and questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS software version 22 with the Independent Sample Test. The results of the hypothesis test showed a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Because the sig value (2-tailed) <0.05, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This shows a significant effect of the video-assisted guided inquiry learning model on students' scientific attitudes and creative thinking skills in physics learning. The N-Gain analysis of learning outcomes showed that the experimental class achieved values ​​​​of 0.84 and 0.82 which are included in the high category. These results indicate that learning using the guided inquiry model can improve students' scientific attitudes and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how school-based management is implemented in improving the quality of education, find out how to improve the quality of education, find out the obstacles to managing school-based management in improving the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative approach, carried out in the form of descriptive data implementation, the data collection methods used are observation, documentation, interviews. The results of the research carried out are that the process of implementing school-based management in improving the quality of education at SMPN 04 Paguyaman provides freedom to utilize educational resources in the learning process and all activities related to the school environment. The implementation of school-based management in improving the quality of education at SMPN 04 East Paguyaman cannot be separated from obstacles that hinder and support the process of implementing school-based management. Success in implementing school-based management can be seen from the input, process and output of SMPN 04 East Paguyaman

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the utilization of the Memrise application in improving English vocabulary among seventh-grade students at SMPN 4 Marisa. This research employed a qualitative approach involving 20 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation and interviews students'.The results showed that the use of Memrise helped enhance the students' English vocabulary, such as its interactive features, such as visuals, repetition, and game-based activities, increased students' interest and motivation in learning. The improvements identified include five aspects: vocabulary mastery, spelling accuracy, learning motivation, pronunciation, and vocabulary retention. In addition, students gave positive responses to the use of Memrise, stating that it was enjoyable, easy to understand, and effective in helping them learn new words. Therefore, Memrise can be considered an effective digital learning medium for improving students’ English vocabulary.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the process of searching for life’s meaning undertaken by the main character in the novel Hector and the Search for Happiness by François Lelord through Viktor E. Frankl’s logotherapy theory. Modern life, characterized by routine, social pressure, and material achievement, often leads to a sense of meaninglessness (existential vacuum). The character Hector is portrayed as a successful psychiatrist who, despite his external accomplishments, feels unfulfilled. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach using close reading and content analysis of the novel’s narrative and dialogue. The findings indicate that the protagonist experiences an existential emptiness, prompting an inner journey through the three core values of logotherapy: creative value, experiential value, and attitudinal value. Hector’s journey reflects an existential transformation toward a more meaningful life. These findings demonstrate how literature can serve as a reflective medium for understanding the psychological dynamics of modern individuals facing a crisis of meaning.

Abstract

Baluran Park is a conservation area with 26 species of animals, 444 species of plants and 155 species of birds in Baluran Park. This study aims to create a work of batik motifs in Baluran Park through batik painting artwork that can introduce Baluran Park tourist attractions to the public, and also as a form of promotion through the media of batik painting or painting. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the process of exploration, improvisation process, and the results of batik painting works inspired by Baluran Park. This research method uses the creation method according to Alma Hawkins. The results of this creation are that at the exploration stage, ideas were found, namely fauna which were used as ideas for creation, and also the use of eco print techniques using teak leaves and natural dyes from turmeric and secang. At the improvisation stage, eight sketches were produced consisting of sketches of deer, bulls, leopards, mangrove cats, and peacocks. At the formation stage, the eight sketches that went through the creation process became eight batik paintings that will be exhibited. The eight works are titled: Psyche, Diversiteit Van Baluran, Fortitudo, Dewi Pelindung, Kecantikan Langka, Kuat Perlindungan, Panthera Herten, Baluran Kaart. The creation of this painted batik is to remind the public of the importance of maintaining and protecting the existing biodiversity so that it does not become extinct.
