Abstract

This research aims to test whether the use of the problem based learning model assisted by the Kahoot application has an effect on the learning outcomes of class X students. The research sample consisted of 50 students in classes X A and X B using Shapiro Wilk. This research uses quantitative methods with a Quasi Experimental Design and a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest control group design scheme. Data was collected through pretest and posttest to obtain the N-Gain Score value between the experimental class and the control class. with a sampling technique using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using parametric statistical tests, namely the independent sample t-test. Data analysis results Based on the results of data analysis obtained during the research, it shows that the N-gain score for the experimental class got an average score of 79.99 (80%) which was categorized as effective in using the problem based learning model assisted by the Kahoot application, while the control class got an average score of 15.13 (16%) which was categorized as ineffective in using conventional learning (lectures, discussions and questions and answers). When the hypothesis test was carried out using the independent sample t-test, Sig was obtained. (2-tailed) 0.000 ≤ 0.05 so there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the PBL model assisted by the Kahoot application in geography subjects on the learning outcomes of class X SMA Sinar Pancasila students.

Abstract

This study examines the forms of self-actualization in Valerie Patkar's Luka Cita novel based on Carl Rogers' humanistic psychology study. The main problem in this study focuses on how the forms of self-actualization that include openness to experience, existential life, and belief in organisms, and how the psychological implications of the process are depicted through the main character. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of self-actualization and their implications through Carl Rogers' perspective. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a reading-note technique, and is analyzed using a content analysis technique. The results of the study indicate that the main character displays the process of self-actualization through five types of openness to experience, namely openness to action, to ideas, values, aesthetics, and feelings. The aspect of existential life is depicted through the ability to live in the present moment, flexibility in responding to experience, and the ability to find meaning from experience. Meanwhile, belief in organisms is seen through the use of affirmative, anticipatory, and conclusive intuition in decision making. The implications of the form of self-actualization include existential freedom (freedom to choose, act, and determine), creativity (mimetic, biosocial, analogous, narratological, and intuitive), fundamental honesty in human nature (constructive and trustworthy), and increasing intensity of life through openness to emotions as a whole, emotional complexity, and courage to face emotional reality. The conclusion of this study is that the main character successfully actualizes himself and produces psychological implications from the form of self-actualization.

Abstract

Abstract: Optimal teacher performance is a fundamental requirement for ensuring sustainable educational quality amid ongoing curriculum changes and evolving societal demands. This study aims to analyze the role of academic supervision in enhancing teacher performance and to examine its relevance from the perspective of educational philosophy. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a literature review method that draws on scholarly journals, academic books, and official policy documents. The results indicate that structured, collaborative, and continuous academic supervision enhances teachers' pedagogical competence, work motivation, and discipline. In this context, academic supervision embodies humanistic and progressive educational values, positioning teachers as autonomous and reflective learners. The study concludes that philosophically grounded academic supervision not only improves teacher performance but also contributes to the development of a transformative and civilized educational culture. Abstrak: Kinerja guru yang optimal merupakan prasyarat mendasar untuk menjamin kualitas pendidikan yang berkelanjutan di tengah perubahan kurikulum dan tuntutan masyarakat yang terus berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru serta menelaah relevansinya dari perspektif filsafat pendidikan. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan metode studi literatur, yang mengacu pada jurnal ilmiah, buku akademik, dan dokumen kebijakan resmi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang terstruktur, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, motivasi kerja, dan kedisiplinan guru. Dalam konteks ini, supervisi akademik mencerminkan nilai-nilai pendidikan humanistik dan progresif yang memosisikan guru sebagai pembelajar yang otonom dan reflektif. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang berlandaskan filsafat pendidikan tidak hanya meningkatkan kinerja guru, tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan budaya pendidikan yang transformatif dan beradab.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of applying classical methods in the Al-Qur'an memorization and translation program at the Safinatul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Banyuwangi. Classical methods generally focus on collective learning in the classroom, but in the context of memorization and translation, they emphasize quantity over quality. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the classical method in balancing both aspects. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with students, Quran memorization teachers, and curriculum teachers. The results of the study indicate that the classical method is not only effective in increasing the quantity of memorization but also significantly contributes to understanding the meaning through the integration of translation in internalizing the values of the Quran in daily life.

Abstract

Social problems in elementary schools are an important aspect in children's social development. However, social problems can arise and affect students' emotional well-being and academic achievement. This study aims to identify social problems that commonly occur in elementary schools and analyze their impact on students. This research method uses literature studies and case analysis to understand the dynamics of social problems in elementary schools. The results of the study indicate that social problems in elementary schools are often related to bullying, difficulty interacting with peers, and the influence of the school environment. The impact of these problems can be emotional stress, decreased academic achievement, and difficulty in building healthy social relationships. This study recommends the importance of early intervention and support from teachers and parents to overcome social problems in elementary schools and create a safe and supportive school environment. Thus, students can develop optimally and achieve their academic and social potential.

Abstract

Social problems are defined as a cultural or societal inconsistency that endangers the life of a social group or prevents the achievement of the basic desires of the members of the social group, resulting in damage to social relations. In normal situations, there is integration and appropriate conditions in the relationship between these elements, clashes occur, social relations will be disrupted, which can cause instability in group life. Everyone must be aware of their responsibilities as members of the community group when interacting with others. The social process itself cannot run well if there is no personal awareness. Children's interactions with others, including parents, siblings, playmates and the community as a whole are called social development. Learning to recognize the rules and norms in a community is known as social development. Children can identify social and emotional disorders as a focal point. Parents, teachers, and the general public hope to have children who are physically and mentally healthy. It is very pleasant to see children playing happily, clever, diligent in learning and working and free and agile in expressing their ideas and creativity.

Abstract

The management of extracurricular activities, particularly Scouting, plays a vital role in shaping students’ character, discipline, and sense of responsibility. To ensure optimal and sustainable implementation, a structured and systematic student management system is required within the formal educational environment. This study aims to explore how student management is implemented at MTsN 17 Jombang, how Scouting activities are carried out, and their contribution to improving the quality of Scouting extracurricular programs. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the processes of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source, time, and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that student management plays a strategic role in the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation of Scouting activities. Consistent and well-directed implementation results in activities that are both beneficial and enjoyable, and positively contribute to students’ character development. The success of these activities is supported by several factors, including the support of the principal, Scout leaders, availability of facilities, and student motivation. Effective student management has been proven to enhance the quality of extracurricular activities and support the achievement of character education goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis nilai Tri Hita Karana (THK) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 2 Seminyak. Kurikulum Merdeka yang mulai diterapkan sejak 2022 menekankan penguatan karakter dan berpikir kritis, namun dalam praktiknya masih banyak sekolah dasar yang menerapkan pendekatan konvensional yang berpusat pada guru. Observasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai THK, yang meliputi aspek Parahyangan, Pawongan, dan Palemahan, belum sepenuhnya optimal terutama dalam membentuk kesadaran ekologis siswa. Dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental design) melalui pre-test dan post-test, penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran. Rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 76,35 menjadi 90,38. Model ini terbukti tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan capaian akademik, tetapi juga membentuk karakter religius, sosial, dan peduli lingkungan siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai lokal dalam pembelajaran sebagai pendekatan kontekstual dan bermakna di era Society 5.0.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the Al Azhar Muncar Islamic Boarding School in Banyumas Regency, East Java, uses digital learning resources to raise the standard of instruction. Primary data from observations and interviews with managers, students, and teaching staff of Islamic boarding schools, as well as secondary data from digital documents and artifacts, comprise the qualitative case study research methodology. It is anticipated that the study's findings would reveal the kinds of digital media that are utilized, how well they aid in learning, and what variables facilitate or hinder their use. In order to optimize the use of digital technology in the context of Islamic boarding schools, this study also offers strategic recommendations. Among the study's advantages are the advancement of scientific knowledge in the area of educational technology and the enhancement of digital-based learning strategies for educational institutions, instructors, and learners. As a result, this study supports initiatives to modify Islamic boarding schools to meet the needs of modern, digital education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Happy Note LKPD media in improving students' learning motivation in Social Studies (IPS) for Grade VII at SMPN 24 Malang. The main issue addressed is the low level of student motivation. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The subjects were 33 students from class 7E. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results show that the use of Happy Note significantly increased students’ learning motivation. In cycle I, 61% of students were in the “Very Good” category, which increased to 86% in cycle II. Additionally, there was a 23% increase in average motivation scores compared to before the treatment. Students demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation during the learning process. This media also fostered a fun learning environment through motor activities such as cutting, pasting, and coloring. The study concludes that Happy Note is effective in enhancing students’ learning motivation. It is recommended that this media be considered an alternative in IPS learning or other subjects requiring a creative and enjoyable approach.
