Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the extent to which the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning program at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Boja is effective. In an era of increasingly complex changes, the challenges faced in religious education are not only limited to the delivery of material, but also the success in instilling religious values in students. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the success of the PAI program at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Boja comes from a combination of active learning methods, role models from teachers, and support in the form of extracurricular religious activities. These results highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach in Islamic religious education to produce students with religious character and good morals.

Abstract

Islamic education based on Islamic boarding schools is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia that has a strategic role in shaping the character and knowledge of the younger generation. Along with the development of the times, Islamic boarding schools have undergone a transformation to remain relevant to the national education system. This study aims to examine the history, characteristics, and relevance of Islamic boarding schools to the national education system, as well as to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by Islamic boarding schools in the modern era. The results of the study show that Islamic boarding schools have adopted various elements of modern education, including the integration of the national curriculum, character education, and strengthening vocational and entrepreneurship education. With its flexibility and adaptability, Islamic boarding schools are able to contribute to the national education system without losing its Islamic identity. It is hoped that Islamic boarding schools will continue to develop as educational institutions that not only excel in religious learning, but also in producing competitive and globally competitive graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of image learning media in the subject of Al Islam in the Tarikh aspect as an effort to improve students' understanding at SMK Muhammadiyah 03 Weleri. The background of this study is based on the low interest and understanding of students in Islamic history material due to monotonous and uninteresting lecture methods. By using a qualitative approach through the case study method, data were obtained from direct observation and interviews with teachers and students. The results of the study showed that the use of image media had a positive impact on several aspects of learning, including: increasing the effectiveness of class mastery, fostering student learning motivation, deepening understanding of the material, and creating an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Referring to Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience theory, it is proven that visual media can significantly increase students' absorption. Therefore, image media can be used as an alternative effective and relevant learning strategy in improving the quality of education, especially in Islamic history material at the vocational high school level.

Abstract

The lack of understanding about how social media affects the language behavior of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri in the context of learning, necessitates research to explore this phenomenon and understand how social media can be utilized to improve students' language skills in Arabic. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a case study design. The results of this study indicate that students use Arabic on social media to communicate, share information, and express themselves in the context of Arabic language learning. The factors that influence students' language behavior in using Arabic on social media are educational background, language proficiency level, language motivation, social media influence, and environmental influence. This study recommends that Arabic language education should consider the use of social media as one of the strategies for Arabic language learning.

Abstract

Azami method is one of the methods of learning to read the Qur'an. Ismail Fahmi is a teacher who is recognized as the initiator of the Azami method. By providing fun learning to read the Qur'an in accordance with the development of children. This paper aims to examine the contribution of the Azami method in improving the ability to read the Qur'an of early childhood. The contributions provided by the Azami method include; 1) Significant improvement in children's ability to read the Qur'an; 2) A fun and effective method; 3) Development of cognitive and motor skills. This paper is compiled using a qualitative descriptive method. Data were taken from interviews with the head of Rumah Quran Kids, journals, and books on the ability to read the Qur'an of early childhood. This study is expected to be a reference for teachers in learning the Qur'an in order to foster students' interest and motivation in studying the Qur'an using fun methods and in accordance with children's development.

Abstract

Educational management is an imperative component in achieving effective and efficient learning goals. One important aspect in educational management is classroom and student management, which plays a direct role in creating a conducive learning environment. This article discusses the concept, principles, and application of classroom management and student management in the context of formal education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature studies as a method of collecting information. The results of the study indicate that effective classroom management includes spatial planning, time management, and clear rule enforcement, while student management involves understanding individual characteristics, providing motivation, and an individual approach to guidance. The conclusion of this study confirms that the synergy between classroom management and students can improve the quality of learning and encourage the achievement of ideal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using smartphones in learning Arabic at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Boja, where students are permitted to bring smartphones into the classroom. The research employs a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The results indicate that smartphones can enhance students' learning motivation through interactive applications such as Duolingo, Google Translate, and other digital platforms. However, challenges such as distractions and excessive dependency were also identified. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for balanced supervision policies to maximize the benefits of smartphones in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the benefits of extracurricular activities of Muhadhoroh in the development of students' soft skills at MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah Tembarak Temanggung (ALMATERA). Likewise, to be able to find out the factors that affect these activities, both supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this study is qualitative and descriptive-based. Data is obtained through observation or direct observation of the course of Muhadhoroh activities and digging up information from sources who can provide more indepth information, then the third is a documentation study to obtain data used by supporters from official documentation sources of madrasah. Then the data obtained is processed with the initial stage of filtering the data, then the data is displayed in the form of a narrative to facilitate the reader's understanding, and the last is to draw conclusions from what has been the findings in this study. The results of the study show that the activities of Muhadhoroh at MA ALMATERA students carry out every Thursday night, participants who perform based on the schedule that has been made by the supervisor/person in charge of this activity, there are three parts, namely some are in charge of being the host, some are delivering lectures, and some are playing roles. The inhibiting factors are the lack of confidence from students, and dense activities that result in students being tired. The driving factor is motivation from teachers, and support from both facilities and infrastructure from the foundation. The benefit of this activity is that students' soft skills are increasingly developing such as being more confident in appearing in public, and students after graduation are ready to engage in da'wah in the community, which is also beneficial for madrasas because they can provide more value than other schools/madrasas.

It highlights how educators can optimize diverse learning resources to improve the quality of education. The study uses a literature review method and concludes that effective learning resources should be relevant, accessible, interactive, flexible, and continuously updated.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic preaching communication through animation on the TikTok platform, using a case study of the @taarts_tok account. The research questions include: how is audiovisual Islamic preaching communicated through animation on this account, and how do audiences respond to such content? This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, employing content analysis techniques on selected short animation videos through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that @taarts_tok utilizes persuasive, educative, and reflective preaching strategies by combining visual elements, voice-over narration, text, and background music. The content is presented in a minimalist and contemplative style, featuring symbolic visuals and emotional narratives that resonate strongly with Generation Z. Audience responses in the comment section reflect deep emotional and spiritual engagement. This research contributes to the development of Islamic communication and broadcasting studies, particularly in the context of digital media.
