Abstract

This study aims to analyze the syllabus of the Islamic Jurisprudence (Fikih) subject for Grade VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) from the perspective of Islamic educational objectives, which emphasize the formation of a holistic and balanced Muslim personality—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using document analysis as the primary method. The main data source is the Grade VII Fikih syllabus published by the Directorate of KSKK Madrasah, Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022. Content analysis techniques were used to identify the representation of Islamic educational values within the structure and content of the curriculum. The findings indicate that the syllabus is strongly aligned with the goals of Islamic education, namely, the development of a complete human being. Through the integration of knowledge and practice, the syllabus plays a strategic role in instilling shar‘ī values—not only in terms of knowledge acquisition but also in religious character formation. Fikih instruction is designed to nurture individual and social piety through strengthened worship practices, internalization of moral values, and development of responsibility and empathy. Therefore, the syllabus is not only relevant within the national curriculum context but also responsive to the need for forming a Muslim generation capable of implementing Islamic teachings comprehensively in real life.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has significantly transformed the education sector, particularly in how learning processes are conducted. Digital learning has emerged as both an alternative and a challenge for modern education systems, especially when compared to conventional teaching approaches. This study aims to explore the basic concepts of digital learning and its differences from traditional education, while identifying its advantages, challenges, and impacts on teaching and learning. A qualitative method with a literature study approach was used, analyzing scholarly journals, articles, and research reports from credible sources to gain in-depth insights. The findings reveal that digital learning offers flexibility, personalized learning, and broad access to information, yet presents challenges such as technological access gaps, low digital literacy, and the need for pedagogical adaptation by educators. Meanwhile, conventional learning still excels in fostering direct interaction and reinforcing social values. These findings underscore the importance of integrating both digital and traditional approaches to create a more adaptive and inclusive learning model. This study contributes to guiding educational transformation toward a system that aligns with 21st-century demands.

Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS) represent a systematic approach to managing information related to various educational aspects. This study aims to identify the definition, development, components, as well as planning, implementation activities, and security of EMIS. The research approach includes literature studies and conceptual analysis in the application of EMIS in various educational institutions. The results indicate that EMIS not only encompasses the management of academic and administrative data but also supports more effective and efficient decision-making. EMIS development involves strategic planning, user requirement gathering, and the design and implementation of technology-based systems. The main components of EMIS consist of hardware, software, human resources, and operational procedures that are optimally integrated. Furthermore, EMIS implementation planning requires systematic steps, including needs analysis, system design, testing, and continuous evaluation. Additionally, system security is a crucial aspect in protecting educational data from unauthorized access and damage. With proper planning and management, EMIS has the potential to enhance the quality of educational services and the effectiveness of management in educational institutions.

Abstract

The character crisis among teenagers, especially among high school students, is a complex challenge in the current educational context. Signs of this problem can be seen from an increase in negative attitudes, including decreased ethics in communication, reduced respect for teachers, and low attention to the social environment. At SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Boja, this issue is also felt, especially due to the influence of the external environment, developments in digital technology, and limited comprehensive moral development. This research aims to examine the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in overcoming the character crisis problem and forming student behavior with good character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature review, observation and interview approach. The results of this research show that PAI has a significant impact in shaping students' character through comprehensive teaching methods, religious activity habits, and examples from teachers. Routine activities such as morning tadarus, midday prayers, memorizing verses and hadith, as well as implementing daily adab are effective means of instilling strong religious values. Apart from that, the values of cooperation, togetherness and the spirit of doing good with sincere intentions are promoted in every activity, both formal and informal.
