Abstract

This study measured students' critical thinking in informatics subjects using the Word Wall Game. With the rapid advancement of technology in the digital era of 4.0 and 5.0, education is also evolving, supported by various online and offline learning materials. Blended learning, particularly the flex model, is an effective strategy in this digital age. This research employed the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results show that the Word Wall Game, integrated with blended learning, enhances interactive learning and significantly improves students' critical thinking by 46.67%. Students' responses to the Word Wall Game were highly positive, with an 86% approval rate in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for the material. This study highlights how innovative learning media can foster creative, effective, and enjoyable learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a pedagogical model for innovation and entrepreneurship education that enhances students’ creativity and attitudes, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education. The model (referred to as the E-Learning- Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion-Project-Based (EPP) Model) combines online learning, structured classroom interaction, and experiential projects. Grounded in Constructivism Theory, Educational Ecology Theory, and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), 9the model was developed using expert validation and implemented in a classroom setting. Students showed notable gains in creativity and learning attitudes after the intervention. These outcomes occurred because the model fosters active engagement, collaborative exploration, and reflective application. The impact of this integrated instructional design offers practical guidance for advancing student-centered, sustainable entrepreneurship education in higher learning institutions

Abstract

The new challenges of the education process at all levels currently vary in different dimensions and perspectives.  One of them is to inculcate the critical and creative thinking ability among the students, specifically for students in the Y, Z, and Alpha generations.  Many researchers and scholars indicate that since the beginning of the 21st century and the possession of unique characteristics among the millennial generations, the future education system must be also revolutionized so that it will always be relevant and effective in holistically developing the future generation of a particular nation.  One of the ways to do this is by engaging critical and creative thinking activities in the daily teaching and learning process at schools and higher learning institutions.  This concept paper discusses the need for such engagement from a Malaysian perspective.

Abstract

Each scientific paper contains references that can be used as a means of accountability for the author. Therefore, references are things that must be considered in writing scientific papers. The purpose of this study is to provide an example and demonstrate an easy way to cite and search for references from Google Scholar. The research method used is an experiment method with a literature study. An internet connection is required to open the Google Scholar search engine. The steps of this research consist of looking for articles in journals, getting citations, and building reference styles. There are several reference styles used in writing scientific papers, such as APA, MLA, Vancouver, Harvard, Chicago/Turabian, and IEEE styles. We identified that Google Scholar can be used as a tool that can assist in finding writing sources. Even though it requires an internet connection, Google Scholar makes it easy for writers to choose the reference style to use by using the "cite" button.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to analyze the research trends in exploring metacognition in teaching English writing to high school students. The methods used in this research were bibliometric analysis methods with VOSviewer analysis. The data were collected from research articles from the Google Scholar database, published between 2018 and 2024. According to the research results, the total documents found during the period were 199 articles. It was found that there was a decrease in the number of articles in 2019, but then it increased in 2022. However, the amount of research articles dropped in 2024. Mapping article data creates three forms of visualization; including network, overlay, and density visualization. The result of mapping reveals that research on metacognition in teaching English writing needs to be carried out, especially regarding teaching to high school students. This research concluded that the trend of research investigating metacognition in teaching English writing to high school students is decreasing, nevertheless its importance in assisting English language pedagogy.

Abstract

This paper investigates the declining use of ethnic minority languages in Bangladesh over the last decade (2013–2023), with particular attention to the role of education in accelerating or mitigating this trend. Using a statistical approach supported by field data, the study examines language shift patterns across various regions, educational levels, and policy changes. Findings reveal a steady decline in the use of indigenous languages, exacerbated by national curricula that prioritize Bengali and English, as well as the lack of multilingual teacher training. Educational policies often neglect the linguistic rights of minority communities, leading to reduced intergenerational language transmission. The paper argues that integrating indigenous languages into school systems, providing culturally responsive materials, and training bilingual educators could reverse the trend. The study contributes both quantitative evidence and policy recommendations for revitalizing endangered languages in education and beyond.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to bridge the gap created by classroom learning by incorporating the power of current technological innovation, especially the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among primary education undergraduates. This study presumed that to make a successful transition to knowledge-based education, the introduction of AI would be a necessary tool to shift Nigerian education from analog to digital. Hence, this study investigated the primary education student competency in the use of AI for learning. This study adopted descriptive research of the survey type. The findings of the study were that majority of the primary education undergraduates are not skilled and incompetent in the use of AI for learning. There was no significant difference between male and female primary education undergraduate’s competency in the use of AI for learning. There was no significant difference in primary education undergraduate’s competency in the use of AI for learning based on university proprietorship. Students' ability to explore digital resources such as AI depends on their access to digital technologies. AI technologies should be made available, open, and accessible to primary education undergraduates, to encourage them to utilize the technologies for learning to improve learners’ capability towards achieving better academic performance.

Abstract

An understanding of teachers’ job satisfaction is needed to provide overall and different dimensions of job satisfaction and the effects of individual factors. The overall attitude and views of teachers toward their working conditions and profession affect teaching and the quality of the school. Research on measures to promote teachers’ job satisfaction in public secondary schools can help us understand teachers’ overall and particular aspects of job satisfaction and provide scientific grounds for resolving problems. The factors affecting job satisfaction determine the dimensions and constituents of teachers’ job satisfaction. Conducive working conditions, promotional opportunities, fair remuneration, and teacher empowerment were found to be the major factors affecting the job satisfaction of teachers. This paper reveals that most of the factors related to motivation and hygiene factors in Herzberg's Two-factor theory are influential on teachers' job satisfaction. Concepts related to teachers' job satisfaction and factors affecting job satisfaction were discussed.
