Abstract

In the modern era, moral education has become increasingly important as rapid developments in science and technology, coupled with globalization, have brought significant value changes in society. This study examines the Islamic perspective on moral values (akhlaq) and their fundamental role in Islamic education. Using a qualitative library research approach, this study analyzes primary Islamic sources including the Quran and Hadith, along with classical and contemporary Islamic scholarship on moral philosophy. The research explores the ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of moral values in Islam, examining how Islamic moral principles are derived, understood, and applied. The findings reveal that Islamic moral values are grounded in divine revelation, characterized by their absolute, universal, and objective nature. The study demonstrates that moral education in Islam aims to develop insan kamil (perfect human beings) who embody noble character traits while avoiding reprehensible qualities. Classical Islamic philosophers such as Al-Ghazali, Al-Farabi, and Ibn Miskawaih contributed significantly to moral philosophy, emphasizing the connection between morality and human happiness. The research concludes that Islamic moral values serve as a comprehensive guide for human conduct, providing both worldly and spiritual guidance that remains relevant in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This research examines the prohibition on women traveling without a mahram from both textual and contextual perspectives. The study begins by presenting the text of a hadith from Sahih Muslim, which states that a woman is not allowed to travel for three days unless accompanied by a mahram. It then explores the concept of mahram in Islam, including kinship, breastfeeding, and marital relations. In the textual analysis phase, the research reviews the opinions of the four major schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali), which generally require the presence of a mahram for women traveling, especially for pilgrimage (hajj). The study also presents variations among scholars regarding the distance allowed for a woman’s journey and the conditions for safe travel. In the contextualization phase, the research critiques the purely textual approach by considering modern contexts where security measures for women have greatly improved. It finds that the original reason for the prohibition was to protect women’s safety and honor, which was relevant to the historical context. Therefore, modern social and security contexts should be considered in implementing the hadith to make its interpretation more relevant to contemporary women’s needs

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi dan keterbatasan AI dalam studi al-Qur’an khususnya dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an. terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini mengenai bagaimana peran AI dalam menafsirkan tema-tema al-Qur’an dan bagaimana keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh AI dalam studi al-Qur’an. menggunakan metode eksperimen yaitu dengan menguji kemampuan AI melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan seputar penafsiran untuk mendapatkan pemahaman maupun perbedaan yang dimiliki oleh AI tersebut, khususnya OpenAI ChatGPT dan MetaAI. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat persamaan dalam beberapa aspek ketika AI menafsirkan tema aktual dalam al-Qur’an, namun juga memiliki perbedaan yang sangat signifikan khususnya dalam menginterpretasi ayat tersebut dalam kontekstualisasi di era sekarang. Sehingga peran manusia tetap memiliki peran yang penting dan signifikan dalam penggunaan AI tersebut untuk menjadi validitas terhadap sebuah informasi yang disampaikan. Selain itu juga data-data yang disampaikan oleh AI tidak dapat diterima dengan mentah dikarenakan tidak menggunakan sumber ataupun referensi yang valid terutama dalam studi al-Qur’an sendiri.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang teori nasikh dan mansukh yang merujuk pada padasuatu hukum syariat yang lebih baru menghapuskan hukum yang lebih lama. Adapun beberapa asumsi dasar terkait teori ini yaitu konteks historis, kepentingan umum (Maqasid Al-Shariah), pengembangan pemikiran, prinsip keadilan, kesepakatan ulama. Menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka (library research), artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa kontroversi mengenai nasikh (yang membatalkan) dan mansukh (yang dibatalkan) dalam al-Qur’an adalah topik yang sering dibahas dalam studi tafsir dan ilmu kalam. Banyak ulama berpendapat bahwa nasikh dan mansukh ada dalam al-Qur'an. Mereka berargumen bahwa beberapa ayat diturunkan dalam konteks tertentu dan kemudian diubah atau dibatalkan oleh ayat lain yang diturunkan setelahnya. Dan ada sebagian ulama berpendapat bahwa tidak ada ayat al-Qur’an yang benar-benar dibatalkan melainkan ada konteks dan penafsiran yang berbeda. Mereka berargumen bahwa perubahan hukum dapat terjadi karena perubahan konteks sosial atau kondisi umat. Terkait dengan adanya polemik dan perbedaan tentang keberadaan nasikh dan mansukh para ulama menyepakati bahwa terdapat rukun dan syarat dalam naskh

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan jilbab yang kini bukan hanya menjadi penutup kepala atau penutup aurat saja, namun pada zaman sekarang jilbab menjadi sebuah trend fashion yang banyak diminati masyarakat khususnya kalangan remaja. Sehingga, pandangan tentang jilbab pun seolah bergeser, bukan hanya pakaian penutup aurat tapi juga termasuk dalam kategori pakaian modern. Lihat sekarang busana muslimah kini mampu beradaptasi seiring dengan tuntunan era globalisasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan melibatkan 30 orang sebagai sampel. Analisi data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan SPSS 16,0 sebagai alat analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahawa variabel tren fashion jilbab berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap religiusitas remaja. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari uji t yang memiliki nilai thitung sebesar 4,856 dengan sig. t sebesar 0,003 (p<0,05), sehingga keputusanya menolak Ho dan menerima Ha, maka trend fashion jilbab berpengaruh signifikan terhadap religiusitas remaja di Desa Tanjungjaya. Adapun nilai koefesien determinasi (R2) sebesar 27% yang berarti kontribusi trend fashion jilbab terhadap religiusitas remaja adalah sebesar 27% sedangkan sisanya 73% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian ini.

Abstract

The reason for choosing this title is to find out how the Role of Bi'ah Lughowiyyah in improving the ability of Maharah Al-Kalam in New students of class 1 MTS, at the same time this research is expected to provide new insights into the environmental conditions in the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Madinah in implementing the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah and knowing what are the obstacles and challenges for new students in implementing the mandatory language regulations in the Islamic Boarding School environment. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, continued with empirical techniques through data reduction, data presentation and data verification and ending with data validity checking techniques. The involvement of this research is to direct it to an environment that aims for students to play an active role in foreign language activities in communicating with all residents at the Islamic Boarding School in daily activities. The results of this study indicate that the results of its implementation at the Islamic Boarding School, the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah towards Maharah Al-Kalam in the first grade students of MTS is quite effective. The implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah is divided into two weeks using Arabic then the next two weeks using English and so on, so that the implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah in the Islamic Boarding School environment becomes more organized. For those who do not use a foreign language in the Islamic Boarding School environment, they will be punished according to their respective criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that Bi'ah Lughowiyah has a very significant role in forming and improving the Maharah Al-Kalam of new students. The implications of this study emphasize that optimization of the language environment in Islamic Boarding Schools must continue to be carried out so that Arabic language learning is more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine in depth the fundamental conceptual differences between the Qadariyah and Jabariyah schools of Islamic theology regarding human free will and divine destiny, as well as the relevance and academic contribution of these two views in shaping the ethos and perceptions of society in the modern era. This research is driven by fundamental changes in society's views on the concepts of will and destiny as a result of advances in education and technology. This paper uses a qualitative research method with a content analysis approach to primary and secondary literature, focusing on classical theological texts and contemporary journals, to specifically analyze the arguments and social implications of both schools of thought. The results show that Qadariyah, which emphasizes individual free will and responsibility, promotes the values of empowerment, innovation, accountability, and optimism. Conversely, Jabariyah, which believes that all events are predetermined by Allah's will, teaches the values of acceptance, inner peace, humility, and gratitude. Overall, understanding this theological dichotomy is highly relevant as a framework for addressing ethical, moral, and technological advancement challenges in contemporary society

Abstract

This study aims to examine the thoughts of Imam Az-Zarnuji in shaping the sincere personality of teachers, based on his monumental work Ta'lim al-Muta'allim Thariq at-Ta'allum. In the context of modern education, which often falls into materialistic orientation, Az-Zarnuji's perspective offers profound spiritual values, particularly the importance of sincerity as the core foundation of an educator. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a library research approach. The data were analyzed through content analysis and reflective thinking techniques. The findings reveal that Az-Zarnuji emphasizes the importance of correct intention, trust in God (tawakkal), self-restraint (wara’), and proper manners in both learning and teaching. Sincerity, according to him, is not merely an initial intention but an ongoing inner state that must be continuously maintained throughout the teaching process. A sincere teacher’s personality is reflected through patience, humility, responsibility, and the blessings of knowledge. These findings are highly relevant to contemporary Islamic education, especially in PGMI (Education for Teachers of Islamic Elementary Schools), in developing educators who are not only academically competent but also spiritually and morally upright.

Abstract

This study explores the Subuh Congregational Prayer Movement (Gerakan Sholat Subuh Berjamaah/GSSB) in Ujung Batu District as a medium for strengthening Islamic religiosity and social solidarity. The movement emerged in response to the limited community participation in Subuh prayer compared to other congregational rituals. Conducted weekly through prayer, sermons, and communal breakfast, GSSB attracts hundreds to thousands of participants. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The analysis draws on Max Weber’s sociology of religion, focusing on how religious ethics generate discipline, responsibility, and collective spirit. The findings show that GSSB effectively achieves its objectives of reinforcing Islamic religiosity and enhancing social solidarity. Spiritually, it fosters consistency in worship and strengthens the relationship between humans and God. Socially, it promotes trust, cooperation, and a sense of belonging, while structurally it builds collaboration among religious leaders, communities, and local authorities. GSSB also illustrates Durkheim’s concept of collective effervescence, where shared rituals create emotional energy and collective identity. Moreover, it generates social capital that supports community empowerment. Thus, GSSB exemplifies how local Islamic initiatives can transform spiritual values into social cohesion, integrating religious commitment with communal harmony in contemporary Muslim society

Abstract

Women's contributions to Islamic education have received insufficient attention and importance in Islamic history. Aisha RA, one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad, played a central role in the development of Islamic education through hadith narration, moral education, and upholding equal educational rights. The background of this paper is to explore the contribution of Aisha RA in Islamic education and its relevance to the development of education today. The data for this research was collected through a literature study using primary sources such as books of hadith and secondary sources in the form of books and scientific articles. The takhrij hadith method was used to assess the validity of the traditions narrated by Aisha RA, while deductive and inductive analyses were applied to reach a comprehensive conclusion. Results have shown that Aisha RA was not only a hadith narrator with more than 2.210 hadiths but also greatly contributed to the formation of moral education values which originated in the family and to the reinforcement of the principle of equality of men and women in education. This research implies that an inclusive Islamic education, such as that conducted by Aisha RA, may be an important model for contemporary education systems based on equality and morality.
