Abstract

As part of the post-pandemic recovery of online learning, the Ministry of Education and Culture officially launched a modern curriculum entitled "Freedom to Learn" which will be implemented independently in all educational units starting in the 2022/2023 academic year. The purpose of this research is to determine the positive impacts and obstacles to implementing an independent curriculum for learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 3 Sidikalang and implementing an independent curriculum for learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 3 Sidikalang. This research applies a qualitative phenomenological approach with a type of field research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and document study. Based on research findings, the independent process of curriculum implementation is divided into three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The positive impacts of implementing an independent curriculum in Islamic religious education learning include increasing teacher and student creativity, increasing student enthusiasm and activeness in learning, and increasing teacher enthusiasm in developing their own skills. The obstacle to implementing the unique Islamic religious education curriculum is that educators are unable to provide fun, high-quality learning, and determine topics and content for P5 activities that suit students' interests and talents.

Abstract

Education plays an important and central role in developing human potential, including intellectual potential. Through education, it is hoped that transformation can develop positive character and change that character from evil to good. National education mandates schools/madrasahs as formal educational institutions to carry out learning processes that enable social and cultural development that creates national character and civilization. The aim of this research is to describe the management of Islamic education in developing the character of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical research type. The results of this research indicate that Islamic education management is necessary for the development of student character. Therefore, it is necessary to plan character education, organize character education, implement character education, and monitor character education. Character education is documented and integrated into the curriculum. The development of character education is not only passed on to school members such as teachers and students, but also to parents and the local community. Character values ​​are then integrated into the learning plan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to clarify the history of Islamic civilization and historical research methods. In studying the history of Islamic civilization and historical research methods, this method (library research) is used by studying a large number of books, periodicals, periodicals and life stories related to the problems and objectives of Masu's research. Data collection with the results of previous research, data supporting research themes and historical research methods in the history of Islamic civilization. The research process begins with certain stages: the search for relevant information, analysis and subsequent development of the results, as well as the presentation of new insights into the history of Islamic civilization and historical research methods. Civilization is evidence of cultural progress and development from time to time. On the other hand, Islam is a holy religion and Allah SWT has revealed it to all mankind through His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad SAW, through His guidelines, namely the Al-Quran and Hadith. There are two methods used to describe the history of Islamic civilization: the historical excavation method (historiography) and the historical method. General methods in extracting history (writing history) include accurate verbal and oral methods, observation methods which involve direct observation, and recording methods which involve careful and thorough study of all existing documents. Meanwhile, the historical method is a method that is applied after carrying out historical excavation methods. The methods used include descriptive methods (description), comparative methods (comparison), and comprehensive analysis methods (critical analysis and drawing conclusions).

Abstract

Di dalam dunia Islam, ada seorang nama seorang tokoh pendidikan yang namanya diabadikan oleh Allah SWT. di dalam Alquran, ianya bernama Lukman al-Hakim. Luqman al-Hakim memiliki konsep bahwa sistem pendidikan anak haruslah dimulai dengan pendidikan tauhid, pendidikan akhlak, pendidikan ibadah, dan pendidikan sosial. Dimana kesemua itu memiliki keterkaitan yang tidak dapat  dipisahkan baik didikan sifat kasih sayang dari kedua orang tua dan juga membangun sarana warisan nilai-nilai moral dengan menjalin terdapat komunikasi antara anak dan orang tua. Hal yang dihasilkan oleh Luqman al-Hakim dengan nilai-nilai penuh dengan kebijaksanaan tentang pendidikan anak dicirikan dengan pengembangan antara duniawi dan ukhrawi, fisik dan non fisik sehingga keduanya harus diwujudkan dengan pendekatan agamis, pendekatan filosofis dan pendekatan psikologis. Dalam penerapan mendidik anak, Luqmân al-Hakim sangat memperhatikan pondasi membentuk iman, amal, dan akhlak atau dengan istilah lain disebut dengan metode pembelajaran learning by doing (belajar sambil melakukan). Dengan memberikan wejangan nasehat guna membangun akhlak mulia atau perubahan tingkah laku yang mewujudkan manusia sebagaimana objek orientasi pendidikannya. Tujuan Luqman al-Hakim mendidik anak dengan metode tersebut untuk menjadikan anaknya sebagai pribadi mandiri dan bertanggung jawab, disamping disiplin dan taat terhadap hukum Allah, sehingga proses pendidikan tentang kisah Luqman al-Hakim memiliki implikasi yang positif terhadap perkembangan dunia saat ini. Dengan bahasa lain proses pendidikan Luqman al-Hakim tidak lekang oleh zaman dan tidak lupuk oleh waktu.

Abstract

In studying Islamic religious education, we must not ignore technological developments which have a big impact on our lives, whether we realize it or not. SD Negeri 034784 Panji, Dabutar District. Utilizing technological advances to enable learning innovation in Islamic religious education. Examples include teleconferencing, Google Classroom, and Zoom Meeting which use features such as electronic mail (email), mobile phones, MP3 players, websites, blogs, and search engines. Learning models that are developing include electronic learning (e-learning), electronic books (e-books), online courses, online discussions and computer-assisted learning. The use of whiteboards and markers has been replaced by the use of notebooks, LCD projectors, etc. Printed resource books, modules and student worksheets have been replaced by e-books, digital libraries, YouTube and websites. This research focuses on qualitative research using descriptive methods. This research aims to determine the natural role of learning innovation in Islamic religious education in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Primary School Learning SDN 034784 Panji Dabutar Kab. Dairy. This research is suitable for using a qualitative research approach using descriptive methods to reveal facts as empirical truth. Research methodology is the method or procedure for carrying out all research activities. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Qualitative research is a research method that produces descriptive data in the form of people's written and spoken words and observed behavior. Qualitative research involves the importance of efforts to explore and understand the implications of what happens to different individuals and groups due to social or humanitarian issues. SD Negeri 034784 Panji Dabutar District. In the 2023 and 2024 academic years, we will carry out learning using information technology characterized by the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Teachers continue to perfect current developments by innovating Islamic religious education learning using Industrial Revolution era applications such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and WhatsApp. Participants Students are very happy to study with the help of today's sophisticated information technology during the industrial revolution, but most of them have difficulty attending classes due to financial constraints. "We are actively responding to developments in PAI learning in the 4.0 era, because learning must be adapted to current developments," he said.

Abstract

Filsafat progresivisme menekankan pada peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik melalui pengalaman, kemampuan diri/kemandirian, dan selalu memperoleh perubahan-perubahan secara pribadi yang dapat menimbulkan apresiasi dan kreasi peserta didik. Dalam pendidikan seni, progresivisme memiliki peranan yang sangat krusial khsususnya dalam pengembangan potensi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode kepustakaan. Metode penelitian kepustakaan adalah proses pengumpulan, analisis, dan interpretasi informasi dari berbagai sumber literatur, seperti buku, artikel, jurnal, tesis, dan dokumen lainnya. Metode ini biasanya digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif untuk mendalami teori, konsep, dan pandangan yang sudah ada. Progresivisme modern menekankan pada konsep ‘progress’ yang menyatakan bahwa manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembangkan dan menyempurnakan lingkungannya dengan menerapkan kecerdasan yang dimilikinya dan metode ilmiah untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang timbul baik dalam kehidupan personal manusia itu sendiri maupun kehidupan sosial. Dalam konteks ini, pendidikan akan dapat berhasil manakala mampu melibatkan secara aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, Aliran filsafat progresifisme dalam pendidikan Islam menawarkan pendekatan yang inovatif dalam membentuk karakter dan kreativitas siswa. Dengan menempatkan siswa sebagai pusat pembelajaran, aliran ini mendorong siswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar melalui pengalaman langsung dan pemecahan masalah. Fokus pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan mandiri menjadikan lulusan pendidikan progresif lebih siap menghadapi tantangan masa depan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep rekonstruksionisme dalam filsafat pendidikan Islam serta penerapannya dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Rekonstruksionisme sebagai aliran filsafat pendidikan menekankan pentingnya pendidikan sebagai sarana perubahan sosial yang mampu membentuk individu dengan kesadaran terhadap problematika sosial, politik, dan ekonomi. Dalam perspektif Islam, pendidikan tidak hanya memindahkan pengetahuan tetapi juga membentuk karakter, spiritualitas, dan keterampilan sosial yang mendukung pembangunan masyarakat berkeadilan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode kajian pustaka, penelitian ini berusaha mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai rekonstruksionisme dalam PAI untuk memberikan sumbangan dalam pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan yang lebih adaptif terhadap tuntutan perubahan sosial.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping a quality generation, where the development of Muslim students' character is one of the key aspects that must be addressed. In the context of Islamic education, character relates not only to academic aspects but also to morals, ethical values, and social skills. The progressive movement offers an innovative approach to education, emphasizing active learning and relevance to everyday life. John Dewey, a key figure in progressivism, argued that education should be relevant and help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This study employs a literature review, gathering relevant sources. By applying the principles of progressivism, Muslim students can explore their identities and implement Islamic values in real actions. Moreover, this approach supports collaboration and social interaction, which aligns with the value of ukhuwah in Islam. Progressivism also encourages the development of critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, essential for facing challenges in the global era. Through progressive education, students not only acquire knowledge but also develop a strong character in line with Islamic values. The integration of progressive principles with religious values is highly relevant for shaping a generation that is intellectually capable, moral, and ethically sound. This study examines the concrete implementation of the progressive movement in character education for Muslim students, as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered in the procss.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the transformation of teacher competence in mastering information and communication technology (ICT) in the digital era, as well as the challenges and strategies faced in the learning process. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data was collected through searching indexed scientific sources from databases such as Google Scholar, JSTOR, ERIC and ProQuest which were selected based on relevance, novelty and source quality. The literature obtained was analyzed qualitatively using thematic content analysis. The research results show that the transformation of teacher competence includes increasing digital literacy, the ability to create interactive learning materials, and the use of digital platforms for teaching as an urgent need that requires a holistic response. Challenges faced include limited access to ICT infrastructure and the need to increase digital literacy and relevant pedagogical skills. Improving competencies should not only focus on technical training, but also strengthen pedagogical skills and adaptability. Support from the government, educational institutions and society is very important in creating an optimal learning ecosystem. Educational policies that support the development of ICT facilities and continuous training must be a priority, to ensure teachers and students can reach their maximum potential in the teaching and learning process in the digital era.

Abstract

Sociology is a discipline that includes certain subjects, methodologies, and approaches used to explore and gain new knowledge. In the study of the sociology of religion, the focus is on the religious community as a space that includes the study, emphasizing social phenomena in a society that practices religion rather than the teachings of religion itself. From a sociological perspective, religion is seen as a way of life that must be practiced in society, which encourages relationships between individuals. Furthermore, religion plays an important role in shaping the social structure of society. A sociological approach is important to reveal the nature of religion, because the study of religion presents a complexity that can be studied carefully through a sociological perspective. This study is important to explain the sociological approach in the study of Islam. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of sociological values ​​in the study of Islam, including the scope and issues that exist. This study uses a qualitative approach, especially by using the library research method. The discussion method in this study uses a descriptive analytical approach, which aims to provide explanations and connect key ideas or concepts related to the topic being studied. In Islamic teachings, it is stated that for every verse related to worship, there are one hundred verses about muamalah (social problems). The importance of muamalah or social issues in Islam is emphasized by the fact that when the time of worship coincides with important social affairs. It can be seen that the Islamic religion always prioritizes the interests of social values ​​rather than individuals. This proves that Islamic teachings highly uphold sociological values.
