Abstract

Underdeveloped areas are areas inhabited by communities with various problems such as economic factors, human resources, infrastructure (infrastructure), regional capacity, accessibility, and regional characteristics. Regional development has been encouraged by various government policies, one of which is through pioneer transportation so that people, especially those in the outermost, disadvantaged, poorest, and border areas (3TP) are served and connected in order to reduce regional disparities. This study aims to measure the purchasing power index of each region / region. This study uses the Ability to Pay (ATP), Willingness to Pay (WTP), and Composite Performance Index (CPI) techniques, then formulates a formula to determine the purchasing power index of transportation services. The results of this study are to provide an index value for underdeveloped areas in Indonesia which is associated with the CPI results in regional development related to the development of sea and ferry transportation infrastructure.

Abstract

The government has officially announced that the new capital city will be located in the province of East Kalimantan and will have a different infrastructure from the rest of Indonesia. This new region will apply digital technology that triggers the maritime industry to switch from traditional to digital processes as a consequence of development with the concept of smart city and smart mobility. This study aims to select and determine existing ports that meet the requirements to be developed to support development in the national capital region based on the concept of a smart city, smart mobility, as well as innovations that can be made to accelerate its development. In the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the research was conducted online, using descriptive and qualitative methods. The results showed that the Semayang port and the Kaltim Kariangau Terminal (KKT) port were the selected ports, as well as other potential ports such as the Kampung Baru Tengah port and the Penajam Passer port. The two ports need to be developed towards a smart port that prioritizes efficiency and utilization of digital-based information system technology.

Abstract

The terminal is main network knot is a collection of all the route. But the existence of passenger terminal were not yet functioning effectively, this can be seen from the low utilization rate of transportation service terminal by the user. So that the efforts to improve services in terminal. One of the efforts made to improve services in terminal is the performance of service evaluation by standards of service in terminal comprising the services is safety, security, reliability, comfort, convenience and equality . This research was conducted in Tirtonadi Terminal using quantitative method and descriptive research with 355 people of samples. Data were collected through an instrument in form of the question by the model scale liken have tested. The research was analyzed. Using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) technique. The result’s of the research, first, it was quality of service in Tirtonadi Terminal is 81,41 that was in value of services B with satisfactory category. Secondly, it was quality of service in Tirtonadi Terminal not meet the expectations of users. The world of railways is entering the era of digitalization, this condition does’nt only occur in developed countries such as Europe, United States or China, but also in Indonesia. The development of technology cannot be separated from desire of the people who want practical services, for example in Indonesia people doesn’t want to be burdened with ticket purchases or manual administrative and management services which are very time consuming. Therefore, PT. MRT Jakarta and PT. KAI continues to improve technology-based products and services by providing best experience for customers. With the Industrial Revolution 4.0, it’s hoped it can help productivity and efficiency of railway industry in serving its customers and inspire various other industries to implement it. The purpose of this research is to see the development of railroad digitization that has occurred in Europe with developments that have been made in Indonesia. The method used in this research is qualitative and descriptive interview methods, interviews with several resource persons from the transportation sector by employees of PT. KAI and PT. MRT Jakarta. In addition, it’s also obtained from literature studies in the form of journals and sources from the internet to collect data related to the development of digital transformation that has been applied to the European railway system.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) To determine the queuing system at the Cibubur 1 toll gate; (2) to determine the effectiveness of the toll booth queues available at the Cibubur 1 toll gate; and (3) to find out the strategy for improving the service of the toll booth at the Cibubur toll gate1. The data used is secondary data obtained from PT. JASA MARGA (Persero) Tbk. In this study, the queuing system method is used, the data used is from August - October 2019, the time period is divided into 3 time zones each day which includes morning (06.00-10.59), afternoon (11.00-15.59) and afternoon (16.00-5.00pm). 20.59), and each time zone is calculated every 5 hours. The results of this study indicate that the highest average arrival rate is in August reaching 9,847 vehicles, while the highest average vehicle hourly rate occurs in the afternoon, namely at 16.00-20.59 in August - October. In improving the service strategy, the research results can be applied as follows, making arrangements for the composition of traffic, improving the road network, regulating drivers and developing infrastructure services.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal route for the delivery of Samsung Electronics goods from Distribution Center (DC) to Retail Stores in the Jabodetabek area. DC functions as a warehouse to deliver goods to the customers. In the distribution of goods to each customer, unoptimal routes is a problem being faced company. This study was designs to determination of the delivery route using the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), the Saving Heuristics model. The results show that the mileage is reduced by 19% (107 km), with fuel savings of 20.1% and the total time is reduced by 22.6% or 3.3 hours.
