Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Social Studies (IPS) learning at SMP Negeri 2 Praya Barat Daya. The focus includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning based on the principles of the Independent Curriculum. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving Social Studies teachers, students, and the school principal. The findings reveal that teachers have developed learning tools based on differentiation and the Pancasila Student Profile, yet challenges remain in the use of digital media and limited facilities. In terms of classroom practice, learning has become more interactive with an emphasis on collaboration, although student engagement varies. Evaluation has begun to adopt formative assessments but has not been fully optimized. These results emphasize that the Independent Curriculum enhances contextual learning but requires stronger support in terms of facilities, teacher training, and student engagement strategies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze oyster mushroom farming as a sustainable business opportunity to increase farmers’ income in Lebah Sempaga Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency. The background of this research is the dependence of rural communities on seasonal agriculture, which is vulnerable to climate change and market price fluctuations. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that oyster mushroom cultivation has promising prospects since it is not season-dependent, provides significant economic benefits, and utilizes organic waste as a growing medium. Farmers’ income increased from IDR 48,000,000 in 2020 to IDR 56,000,000 in 2024. Main challenges include limited raw materials, lack of capital, and marketing constraints. The findings suggest that with improved farmer capacity, capital access, and market networks, oyster mushroom cultivation can be a sustainable solution to enhance farmers’ welfare.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemanfaatan ChatGPT terhadap pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi di MAN 2 Lombok Tengah. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep ekonomi serta keterbatasan metode ceramah yang masih dominan digunakan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) model pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yakni kelas eksperimen XE5 (19 siswa) yang menggunakan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran dan kelas kontrol XE6 (19 siswa) yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen, di mana rata-rata nilai pretest meningkat dari 59,72 menjadi 90,00 pada posttest. Sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 46,67 menjadi 64,72. Uji Independent Samples Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa ChatGPT berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa dan dapat dijadikan alternatif metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills in Grade VII of SMPN 3 Praya Tengah during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental class (20 students) applying the discovery learning model, and a control class (20 students) using conventional teaching methods. The research instrument was a problem-solving test on algebra, administered before and after the treatment. Data analysis using an independent samples t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups with a sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the discovery learning model is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of collaborative learning and analyze its impact on students’ learning outcomes in economics for Grade X at MA Hubbul Jiron NW Pringgarata. The background of the research stems from the low student engagement in economics learning, which affects academic achievement. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects included the economics teacher and Grade X students. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that collaborative learning improves student participation, strengthens group cooperation, and positively affects learning outcomes. Supporting factors include teacher readiness and student motivation, while inhibiting factors consist of limited time and differences in student ability. This study recommends collaborative learning as an alternative strategy in economics teaching at madrasahs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Haq. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah dua kelas: VIII A (kontrol) dan VIII B (eksperimen), masing-masing 28 siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 47,58 dan 50,00, sedangkan kelas eksperimen 46,73 dan 83,04. Uji t menghasilkan p < 0,05, menandakan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Analisis N-gain menunjukkan kategori sedang untuk kontrol (0,44) dan eksperimen (0,54). Penerapan PBL terbukti efektif meningkatkan komunikasi matematis (representasi, penyusunan model, penyajian ide) dan motivasi belajar siswa (partisipasi aktif, ketekunan, dan kepercayaan diri).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS). The background of this research is the relatively low student achievement, allegedly due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods. The study applied a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were seventh-grade students of a public junior high school, divided into an experimental group (using TSTS) and a control group (using conventional methods). Data were collected through a validated achievement test and analyzed using a t-test. The results revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, indicating that the implementation of TSTS had a positive effect on students’ IPS learning outcomes. These findings support constructivist theory, which emphasizes collaboration in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in improving students’ creative thinking skills. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students of MTS Arrahmah NW Pringgarata in the 2024/2025 academic year. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, with class VIII A as the experimental group taught using CTL and class VIII B as the control group taught using conventional methods. The instrument used was a creative thinking test based on the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, which had been validated and proven reliable. Data were analyzed through normality, homogeneity, independent t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed that the experimental group achieved a higher mean score (80.92) compared to the control group (66.12). The t-test showed a significance value < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, CTL is effective in enhancing students’ creative thinking skills, particularly in learning Pythagorean Theorem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk nilai sosial dalam novel Surat Kecil dari Surga karya Kirana Kejora dan menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA kelas XII. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan data utama berupa kutipan teks novel yang memuat nilai sosial, serta data sekunder dari dokumen kurikulum 2013. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik membaca mendalam dan pencatatan. Analisis data meliputi identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan interpretasi nilai sosial berdasarkan teori Zubaedi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga kategori nilai sosial: (1) nilai kasih sayang (pengabdian, tolong-menolong, kekeluargaan, kesetiaan, kepedulian), (2) nilai tanggung jawab (rasa memiliki, disiplin, empati), dan (3) nilai keserasian hidup (demokrasi, kerja sama). Relevansi penelitian ini dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sesuai KD 3.8 dan KD 4.8 kurikulum 2013, yang menekankan penafsiran pandangan pengarang dan penyajian hasil interpretasi. Dengan demikian, novel ini dapat dijadikan sumber ajar untuk penguatan karakter peserta didik melalui pembelajaran sastra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the interactive discussion learning method on improving students’ understanding in Class X at MAN 2 Central Lombok in Economics subjects. The background of this research is the low level of students’ understanding due to the dominance of lecture methods that tend to be passive. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (pretest-posttest control group design). The sample consisted of 34 students divided into two groups: the experimental class (interactive discussion) and the control class (conventional lecture). The research instrument was multiple-choice tests administered before and after treatment. Data analysis included normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. The results revealed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (85.24) was higher than that of the control class (73.53). The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the interactive discussion method significantly improved students’ understanding. Thus, this method is proven effective and recommended as an alternative in Economics learning.
