Abstract

This article discusses organizational management innovation in Islamic educational institutions, specifically Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) in Padakembang District, Tasikmalaya Regency, Indonesia. The study was motivated by the need to improve the quality of management in non-formal Islamic educational institutions, which continue to face challenges related to managerial professionalism, limited resources, and adaptation to technological developments and evolving societal demands. The research aims to identify, analyze, and formulate the forms of Islamic educational management innovation implemented in MDTA institutions within the region. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach plus information on Literature Review. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research participants included MDTA principals, teachers, institutional administrators, and educational stakeholders at the district level. Data were analyzed using an interactive process consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that organizational management innovation in MDTA encompasses six major dimensions: (1) collaborative and visionary leadership innovation, (2) contextual and adaptive curriculum development, (3) continuous human resource capacity building through professional training, (4) administrative and instructional digitalization, (5) transparent and accountable financial management systems, and (6) institutional branding development to enhance competitiveness and public trust. Based on these six dimensions, this study proposes the Integrated Islamic Education Management Innovation Model (MIPI) as its principal novelty. The model integrates all dimensions of management innovation into a holistic, systemic, and sustainable management framework capable of improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of Islamic educational services in MDTA institutions. The MIPI Model is expected to serve as an alternative framework for developing non-formal Islamic educational management in the era of digital transformation and increasing educational competition. Keywords: management innovation, Islamic education, Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA), MIPI Model, Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges and strategies in integrating religious values with the modern demands of contemporary society within Islamic higher education institutions. Utilizing a qualitative inquiry approach, this research investigates how curriculum innovation is designed, implemented, and negotiated by academic stakeholders to bridge the gap between sacred traditions and the needs of a globalized market. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with faculty members, curriculum designers, and university administrators, complemented by a thorough analysis of institutional curriculum documents. The findings reveal that curriculum integration is not merely a blending of religious and secular subjects, but a complex process of epistemic reconceptualization. The success of this innovation heavily relies on institutional commitment, the pedagogical readiness of educators, and the flexibility to respond to modern dynamics without compromising spiritual identity. Despite facing hurdles such as ideological resistance and resource limitations, the integrated curriculum innovation proves effective in producing graduates who possess both professional expertise relevant to modern industries and a solid foundation in Islamic ethics. This study offers theoretical contributions to the development of curriculum models in Islamic higher education and provides practical guidance for educational policymakers navigating the dualism of modern and religious education. In conclusion, harmonizing sacred values and modern demands through an integrated curriculum is essential for maintaining the relevance of Islamic higher education institutions in the global era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of financial governance and accountability of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Bogor Regency, as well as its impact on social trust and community economic independence. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 5 key informants (BUMDes Director, Treasurer, BPD, MSMEs, and DPMD), observations, and documentation of financial reports. Data analysis was conducted interactively including data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on Stewardship Theory and the concept of hybrid organizations. The results show that BUMDes governance in Bogor Regency has not been running professionally due to strong local political intervention from the Village Government and weak management independence. From an accountability aspect, most BUMDes have not adopted SAK EMKM due to limited technical capacity of human resources. The practice of closed financial reporting and mere bureaucratic formalities creates acute information asymmetry. The impact is a crisis of social trust from the community that triggers apathy and breaks the village economic value chain, so that the target of encouraging economic independence of residents has not been optimally achieved. As a solution, this study reconstructs a participatory accountability model that integrates accounting standards compliance with Sundanese local wisdom (Silih Asih, Silih Asah, Silih Asuh). Radical information transparency and the separation of village political-business boundaries are key to restoring public legitimacy and driving sustainable citizen economic participation.

Abstract

Educational support services, such as School Health Services (UKS), libraries, and Guidance and Counseling (BK), play a crucial role in supporting the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of students in elementary schools. However, the implementation of these three services still faces various challenges that can impact their effectiveness in supporting the educational process. This study aims to describe the implementation of UKS, library, and Guidance and Counseling services at SDIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta and identify the obstacles encountered in their implementation. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews with UKS staff, library managers, and BK teachers, as well as documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that UKS services have been running well through the promotion of clean and healthy living habits, basic health services, and collaboration with the Community Health Center (Puskesmas). Library services contribute to improving literacy culture through various programs, such as the Library Award and classroom reading corners. Meanwhile, BK services support students' personal, social, and academic development through a humanistic approach and collaboration with homeroom teachers and parents. Despite this, challenges remain, including limited facilities, inadequate staffing, and suboptimal use of technology in library management. This study concludes that these three services have made a positive contribution to student development, but require strengthening facilities, improving human resource competencies, and optimizing technology-based management to ensure more effective and sustainable educational support services.

Abstract

The limited fiscal capacity of regions to support the surge in infrastructure needs in peri-urban areas demands a policy reorientation toward non-conventional funding models. This qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical case study design aims to in-depth analyze the collaboration model between the Bogor Regency Government and the private sector through a creative financing scheme to accelerate regional infrastructure development. Primary data was collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with key informants from Bappedalitbang, the Public Works and Housing Agency (PUPR), the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and a consortium of private partners. These were then triangulated with official policy documents and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that the creative financing scheme effectively closes the regional budget deficit (funding gap) by leveraging the value of public assets and rationally sharing investment risks without burdening the regional debt balance. The success of this ecosystem is largely determined by the quality of local collaborative governance, where the institutionalization of the Creative Financing Acceleration Team and the involvement of a national guarantee institution are able to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and erode the risk-averse behavior of regional officials due to fear of policy criminalization. This research introduces a novel concept called managed asymmetry, which emphasizes the importance of knowledge transfer from the private sector to compensate for the limited technical competence of civil servants. Practically, this research formulates a blueprint for strengthening regional institutional capacity, leading to the role of civil servants as reliable contract managers. In conclusion, the synergy of local legal certainty, transparent risk mitigation, and political commitment of regional leadership is the main foundation for accountable and sustainable subnational infrastructure acceleration.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in recent years has brought fundamental changes to people's economic activities. This research aims to analyze the impact of digitalization on changes in people's economic patterns, including consumption, transactions, financial management, business activities, and work patterns and income. The research uses a qualitative approach, employing the library research method by examining various reputable scientific literature, particularly international journals indexed in Scopus over the last five years. Research data were obtained through systematic searches of scientific articles, books, and research reports relevant to economic digitalization. The study's results show that digitalization has significantly changed people's economic behavior. In the consumption aspect, there is a shift from conventional shopping to digital shopping through e-commerce platforms. In terms of transactions, the use of digital payments, such as e-wallets and QRIS, is increasing, forming more efficient economic habits. Digitalization also affects household financial management patterns through easy access to digital financial services. On the other hand, digitalization encourages transformation in MSMEs and creates new forms of work through the gig economy. However, the impact of digitalization is not always evenly distributed, as there remains a gap in access to technology and digital literacy across society. This study concludes that digitalization plays a vital role in shaping the modern economic landscape. Still, inclusive policies are needed so that the benefits are felt more fairly and equitably.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of transformational leadership, competence, and career development on job satisfaction and employee performance at the State Printing Company of the Republic of Indonesia (PNRI) in Jakarta. The research adopts a quantitative approach with survey methods involving 134 PNRI employees. It explores the relationship between leadership styles, employee competencies, and career development opportunities in shaping job satisfaction, which, in turn, influences employee performance. The findings indicate that transformational leadership does not significantly affect job satisfaction, while competence and career development both positively influence job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction is found to have a significant and positive effect on employee performance. However, transformational leadership negatively impacts employee performance, suggesting that its application requires more careful management to avoid undermining performance. Competence, surprisingly, shows no direct influence on employee performance, while career development exhibits a positive effect on performance. The results emphasize the need for a stronger focus on career development and job satisfaction to improve employee performance. It also highlights the importance of refining leadership strategies to better align with organizational needs, especially in the face of digital transformation challenges in the printing industry. Recommendations include fostering a supportive leadership style, enhancing employee competencies through continuous training, and establishing clear career pathways to boost job satisfaction and performance at PNRI.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of digital transformation challenges for food MSMEs who often face obstacles in determining the right e-commerce platform for long-term business growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of digital marketing on customer value and its implications for the decision to choose an e-commerce site for food MSMEs participating in the Go Online program in the Greater Tangerang area. The research method uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method of 370 respondents who are MSME owners or managers. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8.80 software. The research findings show that digital marketing has a positive and significant effect on customer value with an influence contribution of 24.90%. Furthermore, customer value is proven to be the main determinant that dominantly influences the decision to choose an e-commerce site with a coefficient of determination of 82.37%. The conclusion of the study confirms that the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies plays a crucial role in shaping value perceptions, which then becomes the most critical consideration for MSMEs in choosing a digital platform. The implications of this research suggest that e-commerce platform managers improve supporting features that can create added value for users, as well as for MSMEs to optimize the use of digital media to increase competitiveness and business value in the digital economic ecosystem.
