Journal of Islamic Education since 2024 (see history), published twice a year, from January to June and from July to December, is a peer-reviewed journal that specialises in Islamic studies and Islamic education. The aim is to provide readers with a better understanding of Islamic studies and present developments through the publication of articles and research reports with ISSN: 2503-5363 (print) and 2528-0465 (online). This journal was published by the LETIGES and the Association of Muslim Communities in ASEAN (AMCA). The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines of Islamic studies. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to the review of the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review. Abstract

Learning with the Integrated Islamic School system is the integration of the national education system with the principles of Islamic education to educate intelligence, skills, character development and inclusion of moral values ​​of students, so that students have more complete and distinctive personalities. SDIT Al-Ihsan Kota Pasuruan sees to instill a generation of Rabbani who love the Al-Qur'an and instill the example of Rasullullah. In addition, SDIT Al-Ihsan Pasuruan City also plays a role in implementing the 2013 Curriculum, which is based on Islamic characters. This process must go through various learning activities and these various patterns need to be developed by providing material that includes various learning models are under the subject understood, therefore the authors conducted research on various learning models applied in SDIT Al-Ihsan Pasuruan City to find and understand the various character development processes to improve the quality of students with good personalities.

Abstract

Community participation means that the community participates in and accompanies the government because in reality the government is currently the designer and organizer. Development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which means a process or system of hard work to change conditions that are related to the work or products of humans in building Islamic Education to be better in all its aspects and to have a wider impact and benefits than before. The purpose of this study is to describe community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and supporting and inhibiting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Karangketug Village, Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City. This research is a qualitative research approach. The informants of this research were the head of RW 3, the head of the RT and the surrounding community. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The results obtained from this study are 1) Community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Karangketug Village, Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City can be seen in terms of: first, community participation in developing various religious activities. Second, participation in providing support with religious activities. Third, participation in funding and infrastructure for Islamic Religious Education, namely by making contributions that have been mutually agreed upon and contributing to Islamic religious education infrastructure, namely in the form of equipment for samroh activities such as tambourines and so on. 2) The supporting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are the support from various parties including the village government, the head of RW 3, the head of RT 1, and the surrounding community. The inhibiting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are erratic community time together, weather, health conditions, and a small proportion of people who are lazy to participate in activities.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the power of local wisdom in education. Local knowledge will only last if local learning is applied concretely in everyday life. Efforts to represent the concept of education are not merely normative; only stated and explained, but attempted performative form. For example, local wisdom in education policies by the State is implementing character education policies based on local knowledge, culture, and culture. This research is library research by making library materials the primary data source. The research data were obtained from several pieces of literature related to the general description of education in Indonesia, educational problems and character education strategies. The research data were analysed using descriptive-analytical techniques with an inductive mindset. Implementing efforts to conserve various elements of local wisdom, traditions and local institutions, including norms, customs and culture, can function effectively in education. The goals of education are based on local strengths and characteristics that can advocate for disparities and social-cultural discrimination in society and contribute to better cultural education.

Abstract

Ethical aspects as a vital element in the study of Islamic education are not given much attention in learning by educators because of sudden disruption. This research aims to examine Islamic values ​​in the professional ethics of learning technology developers, as educators who are responsible for the ethical aspects of learning technology. The research method used is a document study to analyze various literature, especially government documents that regulate the professional ethics of learning technology developers. To be specific, the analysis is limited to the aspects of attitudes in the personal code of ethics: 1) honest, 2) creative and innovative, 3) professional, 4) collaborative, 5) independent, 6) lifelong learning, and 7) openness to change. The results show that each attitude contains various Islamic values. These values ​​are related to the exemplary attitude of the Prophet Muhammad, Islamic personality, the concept of Ijtihad, the implementation of Ta'awun, and the demand for knowledge that is relevant to Islamic law.

Abstract

Education is very important in human life. Therefore, with education, it is necessary to have an assessment that can measure whether the learning that has taken place is in accordance with the objectives or core competencies. So authentic assessment plays a very important role in measuring the domains of attitudes, skills and knowledge. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of authentic research in learning the Qur'an Hadith at MI Al-Islam Giwangan Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, this research method uses case study research with a qualitative approach. The result of this study is that the implementation of an authentic assessment of class XI on the subjects of the Qur'an hadith at MI Al-Islam Giwangan Yogyakarta has been carried out well, covering the assessment of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In the cognitive domain, the teacher uses assignment techniques, quizzes, midterm exams, and final exams. Specifically for the affective domain, the teacher uses observation, self-assessment, and peer-assessment techniques. The psychomotor domain uses the technique of expressing opinions, discussions, and rearranging the truncated verses, both hadith and projects. While the evaluation that needs to be improved is the lack of enthusiasm for learning for students and inadequate classrooms for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the skill aspect of blended learning assessment techniques in fiqh learning during the covid-19 pandemic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ngabar Ponorogo. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection using interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the learning concept used in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ngabar Ponorogo uses a combination of two learning systems, namely online and offline or blended learning. The technique for assessing the skill aspect of blended learning uses performance appraisal techniques or practices and products in fiqih learning during the covid-19 pandemic and in its implementation there are advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion of this study is that the learning of fiqh at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ngabar Ponorogo applies a blended learning model with techniques for assessing aspects of performance skills or practices and products that are going well even though there are shortcomings in implementation in the field during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of study was to determine the influence of organizational culture on the learning process quality, the influence of teacher performance on the learning process quality and the influence of organizational culture and teacher performance on the learning process quality at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri in Bandar Lampung City. The research data is in the form of numbers which the answers to the respondents' questionnaires. Researchers conducted validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests as prerequisite tests for variable instrument items. The results showed that the simple linear regression of the organizational culture variable on the quality process was 9.560> 2.104 with an R square of 0.67 or 67% classified as moderate with a relationship of Y = 12.527 + 0.783X. Simple linear regression of organizational culture variable on quality process is 4.813>2.104 with R square of 0.34 or 34% classified as low with the relationship Y=23,663+0,577X. Multiple linear regression of organizational culture and teacher performance variables on the quality process of 59.220>3.20 with an R square of 0.729 or 72.9% classified as high with the relationship Y=3,900+0.667X1+0.269X2, meaning that a 1% change in the value of the Y variable affects the variable X1 is 0.667 and X2 is 0.269.

Abstract

Human basically only know a science only from experts, without realizing the source of that knowledge. Science is the application of the Qur’an and Hadith is the source of knowledge. This study determine the integration of the functions of the sensory system according to the integrated scientific view of the Qur'an and hadith. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the producing descriptive data in the words obtained when looking for references from literature sources with a literature review approach (Library Research). The results of this study indicate that the function of the human sensory system according to science is only in the essence of hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling and touching. In science the human senses function as producers of perception and even as facilities for developing knowledge about something. Meanwhile, according to the Qur'an and hadith, the function of the human sensory system is as a facility for increasing the faith and piety of a servant to Allah SWT. Based on science, the Qur'an and hadith both function the human senses as a complementary facilities in developing knowledge so that a person further increases the essence of Allah presence in carrying out sensory functions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what strategies have been used by PAI teachers in growing interest in learning Islamic Religious Education at SLB E Prayuana. This research is a descriptive qualitative research based on field research. Data collection methods used in this study are observation methods, interview methods, and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analytical method. The results of this study indicate that the learning interest of mentally retarded students at SLB E Prayuwana Yogyakarta is quite low. However, sometimes students can appear interested in the lesson if the factors that influence student interest are in good condition, such as students not having problems before entering school or entering class, students feel comfortable being with the teacher in the classroom, a supportive environment (nothing is distracting), students have experience about the material being taught, students are curious about what the teacher is teaching. The strategy used by the teacher to foster interest in learning for mentally retarded students at SLB E Prayuwana Yogyakarta is to apply the CTL and PAIKEM strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of the transformational leadership model at the Khozinatul 'Ulum Blora Islamic Boarding School by utilizing all the components available in the pesantren. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used, namely documentation, interviews and observations. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership is based on several principles, namely: The basic principles in transformational leadership at the Khozinatul Ulum Blora Islamic Boarding School are: first, simplification is shown by the clear vision of the Khozinatul 'Ulum Blora Islamic Boarding School. second, motivation, namely kiai in motivating ustadz and students according to their respective responsibilities. third, facilities, namely providing both physical and academic facilities to students and teachers. fourth, innovation, namely being brave and responsible and open to new things as evidenced by changes in the curriculum and collaboration with various parties on the instructions of the kiai. fifth, mobility, namely by doing a systematic division of labor in accordance with the responsibilities of each component. sixth, determination is proven by evaluation as a form of escort and improvement of activities at the Khozinatul 'Ulum Blora Islamic Boarding School.
