Abstract

This study seeks to examine the implementation, challenges, and improvement efforts concerning inactive records maintenance at PT XYZ Head Office, Cawang, East Jakarta. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method using a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of employees directly involved in inactive records management within the Secretary and General Affairs units. The findings reveal that the implementation of inactive records maintenance at PT XYZ has been carried out through several efforts, including environmental control of the records storage area, records security, and the arrangement and storage of inactive records in accordance with applicable regulations. However, the implementation has not been fully effective due to several constraints, including limited storage facilities and infrastructure, particularly filing cabinets, as well as limited human resources with sufficient competencies in records management. These conditions have resulted in the accumulation of records boxes and increased risks of damage and loss of inactive records. The efforts undertaken by PT XYZ to address these obstacles include organizing records based on the Records Retention Schedule (RRS), implementing security systems in the records storage area, and planning improvements in storage facilities as well as enhancing employee competencies through records management training. This study is expected to provide contributions, insights, and serve as an evaluation and recommendation for the company to improve the effectiveness of implementation of inactive records maintenance.

Abstract

Talent management has become an increasingly important strategic issue for cooperative organizations operating at the village subdistrict level, where organizational sustainability relies heavily on the commitment and loyalty of board members. In the context of the Red and White Cooperative, board members not only function as decision makers but also as implementers of development programs closely tied to community interests. However, existing talent management approaches are largely designed for corporate or public sector settings and often fail to accommodate the governance characteristics of cooperatives. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a talent management program based on project assignments in enhancing the loyalty of Red and White Cooperative board members at the village subdistrict level. The research adopts a quasi experimental approach using a pretest posttest design with a comparison group. Data were collected through structured loyalty questionnaires covering affective, normative, continuance, and behavioral dimensions, complemented by administrative records, participation logs, and project documentation. Descriptive and comparative analyses were applied to examine changes in loyalty levels before and after program implementation. The results indicate that board members participating in the project based talent management program experienced a notable increase in overall loyalty, particularly in affective and behavioral dimensions, compared to the comparison group, which showed relatively stable conditions. The findings suggest that project assignments, supported by mentoring and feedback mechanisms, foster psychological ownership, responsibility, and sustained engagement among board members.

Abstract

This study examines ethical leadership as a strategic imperative in contemporary organizations, particularly within environments shaped by digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI). While AI-driven systems offer significant advantages in efficiency and decision-making, organizations continue to face ethical challenges related to accountability, transparency, bias, and governance. The main problem addressed in this study is the limited integration of ethical leadership frameworks into strategic management and AI governance, where ethics is often treated as a peripheral value rather than a strategic capability. Accordingly, this study aims to reposition ethical leadership as a core strategic driver that guides organizational decision-making and responsible technology adoption. Using a qualitative analytical approach, this research synthesizes peer-reviewed literature on ethical leadership, strategic management, and AI governance through thematic and comparative analysis. The method focuses on identifying strategic patterns, governance mechanisms, and leadership roles that link ethical principles with long-term organizational objectives. The findings indicate that ethical leadership functions as a foundational strategic capability by aligning organizational values with strategic actions, strengthening governance structures, and enhancing stakeholder trust in AI-enabled decision systems. Ethical leadership is shown to play a critical role in mediating ethical risks associated with AI, such as opacity and accountability gaps, while supporting responsible innovation and organizational legitimacy. The synthesis of findings demonstrates that ethical leadership extends beyond individual moral behavior and operates at the strategic level through institutionalized policies, governance frameworks, and strategic planning processes.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has introduced cryptocurrency as a transformative innovation within the global financial system, raising fundamental questions regarding its compatibility with value-based financial models, particularly Islamic banking. Grounded in Sharīʿah principles that emphasize ethical finance, risk-sharing, asset-backed transactions, and the prohibition of ribā, gharar, and maysir, Islamic banking faces both opportunities and challenges in responding to the emergence of decentralized digital assets. This study aims to explore how Islamic banking can engage with cryptocurrency while maintaining its normative and ethical foundations, as well as to identify the key constraints that limit institutional adoption within global finance. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study conducts a systematic and interpretive review of scholarly literature, regulatory frameworks, and classical as well as contemporary Sharīʿah sources related to Islamic finance, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency governance. The analysis reveals that blockchain technology demonstrates substantial alignment with Islamic banking principles through its transparency, traceability, and decentralized verification mechanisms, offering institutional potential in areas such as payments, trade finance, and smart contracts. However, the findings also indicate that cryptocurrency markets are characterized by high volatility, speculative behavior, weak real-sector linkage, and fragmented regulatory oversight, which raise significant ethical, financial, and governance concerns for Islamic banking institutions. Regulatory divergence and inconsistent Sharīʿah interpretations further complicate cross-border implementation and scalability. The study concludes that Islamic banking should adopt a selective and principle-oriented approach to cryptocurrency, distinguishing between permissible technological infrastructure and ethically problematic market practices.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the synergistic impact of halal certification and product rebranding efforts on increasing sales at the Halal Chicken Soto Center of Tamanan, Kediri. Using a case study approach, the research examines how the implementation of halal certification—initially perceived as a form of religious compliance and consumer protection—has evolved into a strategic competitive advantage. When combined with rebranding initiatives, including visual improvements and enhanced communication, halal status becomes an attractive value proposition for consumers. The findings indicate that the integration of these two strategies not only strengthens consumer trust and expands market reach but also makes a tangible contribution to increased sales. This demonstrates that for culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), halal certification supported by effective rebranding can serve as a strategic approach to optimizing sales growth potential, while simultaneously contributing to the development of Indonesia’s Islamic economic ecosystem.

Abstract

Unemployment and increasingly competitive labor market conditions pose significant challenges for public sector organizations in managing and retaining human resources effectively. One critical aspect of human resource management is job satisfaction, which plays a strategic role in influencing employee performance, organizational commitment, and public service quality. This study aims to examine the effects of reward systems and organizational culture on job satisfaction among civil servants in the Bantul Regency Government, Yogyakarta. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 96 civil servants, selected using purposive sampling based on predefined criteria. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by descriptive analysis and classical assumption tests. Hypothesis testing was conducted using partial t-tests, a simultaneous F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results reveal that reward does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction, indicating that standardized and routine reward systems in the public sector may reduce their motivational impact. In contrast, organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, suggesting that shared values, norms, and supportive work environments play a dominant role in shaping employee satisfaction. Simultaneously, reward and organizational culture significantly influence job satisfaction, with organizational culture emerging as the most influential variable. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational culture as a strategic approach to enhancing job satisfaction among civil servants. The study contributes to the public sector human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence from a local government context and offers practical insights for policymakers seeking to improve employee well-being and organizational performance.
