Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between the basic concepts of social studies material in the geography branch in social studies learning at elementary school level in the independent curriculum which includes distribution, elements, CP, and learning orientation/scope of material. The presentation method used is literature review from various relevant study sources. This literature review includes several literature from relevant research, including regulations for implementing the independent curriculum, articles in relevant journals, books and other literature related to the independent curriculum. Based on the results of the analysis of the relationship between the basic concepts of geography in grade 4 elementary school which have been included in the phases, the science and social sciences are very broad and the combination of science and social studies is still not optimal. However, in terms of optimization, Social Sciences can stand alone as a subject because the branches of social science are so broad.

Abstract

Social Sciences is a science that brings together selected concepts from various social sciences such as, history, economics, geography, sociology, anthropology, social psychology and political science. Social studies material taught since elementary school aims to prepare, develop, and shape students' skills to acquire the basic knowledge, attitudes, values, and skills needed for life in society. This study used a library research method, and used descriptive analysis. The results shows that social psychology basic concept dominated the teaching materials of social studies for lower grade classes.

Abstract

The importance of integrating the basic concepts of geography into the teaching of Social Studies in elementary schools, especially in grade six, cannot be overstated. The problems addressed by this research include the absence of concrete examples connecting the basic concepts of geography with Social Studies materials, the inadequate development of teaching materials that integrate geography concepts, and the low ability of students to analyze human relationships with their geographical environment. The research objectives were to identify the relationship between the basic concepts of geography and Social Studies materials, design effective teaching strategies to integrate these concepts, and develop teaching materials to support integrated learning. The methodology involved a literature review based on relevant qualitative research. The results highlighted the basic concepts of geography and their relevance to Social Studies. Strategies for effective integration include identifying relevant concepts, contextual planning, and varied teaching methods. The implications of this study indicate that integrating the basic concepts of geography into Social Studies in grade six can enhance students' understanding of their environment, improve critical and spatial thinking skills, and help them analyze social problems contextually. By utilizing geography-based learning resources and training teachers, the aim is to make Social Studies learning more meaningful, contextual, and relevant to students' real lives through the optimal integration of geographic concepts. This research contributes new ideas for the development of Social Studies learning that is more interesting and integrated with geography concepts in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research context that drives this research is the finding of misconceptions made by teachers in PJOK learning in elementary schools. PJOK learning in elementary school generally experiences a lot of obstacles, one of which is the learning model applied by many undisciplined elementary school teachers. Applied by many undisciplined elementary school teachers. The problem in this study is the factors that influence the occurrence of misconceptions and how patterns that allow misconceptions to occur in PJOK teachers. the purpose of this study is to analyze the problem factors why misconceptions occur in PJOK learning and analyze how the pattern of misconceptions in PJOK learning. This type of research uses qualitative methods. The research subjects in this study were principals and PJOK teachers in Kayen District. The sample used in this study amounted to 38 informants. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the factors that influence misconceptions in PJOK learning based on the results of data analysis, are activities carried out, teaching concepts by teachers, and the ability and learning methods applied by teachers. Other factors that cause misconceptions experienced by students arise from within students and outside students. Factors from outside students include a lack of understanding of the new curriculum, lack of use of varied and interactive learning methods, and lack of understanding of student characteristics and stages of development.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between basic sociological concepts in social studies content in class VI elementary schools. The research method used was content analysis of class VI social studies textbooks used in various elementary schools. Evaluation is carried out on the depth of explanation, adequacy of examples, and relevance to student experience. The results of the research show that the social studies textbook for class VI has generally succeeded in conveying several basic concepts of sociology well, but there are still deficiencies in conveying concepts such as norms and the socialization process. The implication of this research is the importance of greater attention to curriculum preparation and teaching in the field of social studies, especially in conveying sociological concepts. In addition, this research also provides a call for further research in the development of more effective curricula and teaching methods in the field of sociology at the elementary school level

Abstract

Anthropology, which is part of the social sciences that studies humans and their characteristics and culture in society, has developed rapidly in the world of education in the mid-20th century. Since then, many researches and studies on anthropology have continued to be developed with the intention that humans as members of society could be able to understand their role as biological and social beings better. The purpose of writing this paper is to know more about the scope of anthropology, to know the history and development of anthropology, to know the branches of anthropology and its relevance to other social sciences, and to know the implementation of learning anthropology in everyday life. This paper is written using the literature review method so that the author can understand and evaluate existing knowledge about the study of Anthropology and can develop a comprehensive understanding of various perspectives, theories and methodological approaches to the science of Anthropology.

Abstract

Background: This research aims to determine the application of sociological science in the elementary school environment. Method: The research method used in this research uses a literature study which looks at article sources from scientific journals which contain sociological concepts applied in elementary schools. Results and discussion: Sociological studies of education emphasize the social impact and consequences of education and view educational problems from the perspective of all social, cultural, political and economic contexts that influence society. Sociology of education views educational phenomena as part of the social structure of society. Conclusion: It is very important to apply sociological concepts to students' learning in elementary schools for character formation.

Abstract

With the development of technology, children are more interested in foreign cultures, such as K-Pop, online games, and so on. Children's knowledge about the cultures in Indonesia, especially those in Semarang City, is decreasing, and some even don't know about them. This is not in line with the government's expectation that every Indonesian citizen should know and understand their own culture. The research method used literature studies from several scientific journals. Warak Ngendog digital comic is an alternative learning media that can be used by elementary school teachers, especially grade 4 in IPAS lessons with cultural diversity material. Through Warak Ngendog digital comics, there are cultural values, moral values, and skill values that can help children's social development and motor, affective and cognitive intelligence. By utilizing the current development of science and technology, digital comic media can be transformed into a modern form of learning media while maintaining its traditional cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective learning methods in building environmental awareness in grade 4 elementary school students through Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. Given the importance of environmental awareness from an early age, basic education is a crucial phase in instilling values and attitudes of caring for the environment. Social studies, as a subject that covers social, economic, and environmental aspects, has great potential in shaping students' character and environmental insights. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and in-depth literature studies. The results of the study show that social studies learning that integrates environmental issues can increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. Some strategies that have proven effective include the use of interactive learning media, group discussion methods, and environment-based projects. This learning not only improves students' factual knowledge, but also forms a sustainable mindset and behavior in maintaining the ecosystem. This study concludes that the integration of environmental materials in social studies learning is an effective approach to build environmental awareness in grade 4 students, and recommends the development of a curriculum that emphasizes more on environmental issues as well as training for teachers in using innovative learning methods.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is the knowledge and skill of using various numbers and symbols related to mathematics to solve problems in various contexts in everyday life. Using mathematics skills in various subjects and curricula will broaden and deepen understanding of numeracy. This research discusses the numeracy literacy abilities of Class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Sijeruk. The aim is to analyze students' numeracy literacy skills in solving mathematical problems in the form of story problems. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by taking data and information that is in accordance with the facts in the field. The data obtained was analyzed and presented in descriptive form. This research shows that the numeracy literacy skills of class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Sijeruk are quite good, although there are still students who have difficulty understanding and calculating questions.
