Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of mnemonic techniques to improve learning outcomes social science in fifth grade of Elementary School. Design of this research is collaborative classroom actions research that researcher make collaboration with the teachers. This research is conducted to fifth grade students of SD Negeri Adikarto 2 Muntilan by 20 students. Technique of data retrieval is using the evaluation sheet instruments in the form of a written test. The variable in this study is a mnemonic technique as independent variables and the learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The results of student learning indicators showed that the increasing have to reach more than 75% to. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle included two meetings.The results of the research show that the mnemonic technique can improve the student learning outcomes. The average value of the students learning in social science lesson before get the action (in prior action) is 60.25 whereas the result after the first action (first cycle) the results obtained 70.75 and in the second cycle the result is 79.75.The difference in the average value of the first cycle and the second cycle is 8.5. The percentage of completeness in the first cycle is 70% while the percentage of completeness in the second cycle up to 90%. It shows that there is the increased from phase I to phase cycle II. So, It can be concluded that the use of mnemonic techniques can improve the student learning outcomes in social studies learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Media Apron Stories to improve speaking skills of children. Study Design This is a Class Action Research (PTK) with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, each of which includes action planning, action, observation and reflection. Methods of data collection in this study is a test and an interview. The instrument used was the assessment sheet. Test the validity of this research is done using expert opinion (professional judgment) in the field of early childhood education, especially with regard to children’s ability to speak with a grating instruments which have been created by experts (exspert judgment).The results of this study can be seen that the ability to speak has been improved with media Apron story. In the first cycle, the ability to speak all subjects began to grow by a percentage derived by all subjects by 25%. In the second cycle, the ability to speak increased the percentage of subjects I amounted to 70.83%, subject II amounted to 62.50%, and 62.50% of the subjects III. In the third cycle, the ability to speak increased from Cycle II with the percentage of subjects I amounted to 83.33%, subject II 75.00%, and 75.00% subjects III. Based on these percentages can be concluded that the Media Apron Stories Effective to improve speaking skills of children at play groups Aisyiyah Mungkid Melati Putih subdistrict of Magelang regency Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Person Centered can improve interpersonal communication students in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang City.The method used in this study is action research guidance and counseling using a cycle consisting of: (1) planning the action, (2) the implementing measures, (3) observation / observation and reflection, (4) evaluation. The data collection techniques used interviews and observations, to determine changes increase interpersonal communication skills in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang.The results of this study showed the improvement students interpersonal communication skills after three cycles treatments. At the end of cycles, student interpersonal communication skills increase until 83%. It can be concluded that the Person Centered approach can be applied to improve communication skills Interpersonal class VIII SMP Negeri 13 G in Magelang City School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the difference between the model STAD and NHT towards learning outcomes math at 5th grade elementary school Kemirirejo 3 Magelang. The research design is a comparative study with the comparative group pretest-posttest design. This research compares two variables. Research subjects in grade 5 elementary school students Kemirirejo 3 amounted to 74 students. Data analysis is a t-Test. In addition to data obtained from the test, data are also obtained from the documentation. The result of SPSS 22 t = 2,202 and ttable = 1,666. Means Ha acceptable the average value posstest VA affter applying the learning model STAD better value posttest VB after applying the learning model NHT. The result showed that the model STAD more effectively to improve learning outcomes 5th grade math Kemirirejo 3 Magelang of the learning model NHT.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Batauga. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP N 1 Batauga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Batauga dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 166 orang yang tersebar dalam 8 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 116 orang, di ambil dengan berdasarkan table sampel yang disusun oleh Krejciedan Morgan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa angket kepercayaan diri dan dokumentasi (nilai ulangan matematika siswa semester genap). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kepercayaan diri terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP N 1 Batauga. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai t yang diperoleh sebesar 5,794, signifikan pada 0,000 0,05. Artinya bahwa ditolak, atau diterima. Kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa sebesar 22,7%, sementara sisanya sebesar 77,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of storytelling in third grade elementary school and also the researcher intends to improve learning in the aspect of speaking competence narrating personal experience. The method of this research is Tell Story With Sing And Motion. The results of this study were : (1) Introducing the Tell story with sing and motion method in children; (2) Train children to socialize with their friends through personal experiences; (3) Grow courage and confidence in children through storytelling activities; (4) Improving the creativity of children in conveying personal experiences (5) Reminding children of the importance of learning from an experience (6) Supporting factors; (7) Inhibiting factors. Based on the discussion of the research results, the conclusions obtained are: Tell Story with Sing and Motion method can improve the ability to tell the children in grade III SD.

Abstract

Innovative and creative learning models are a necessity in creating effective learning in the classroom. Therefore, a trial of a learning model is required. Quasi experimental research was conducted in class V SDN Kaumpandak 02 Bogor Regency which has a population of 68 students. The implementation of this research was conducted in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The instruments of data collection were taken using tests and observations. Based on inferential analysis test result of applying sig value of mathematical modeling and control class using learning which is used by teacher have value sig 0,00 <0,05, then H0 is rejected. So between the experimental class and the control class there is an influence of significance on the learning outcomes of mathematics. Between the two have a difference level on the mean difference that is in the experimental class 56.61 and and the control class 55.14. Thus the use of mathematical modeling in the experimental class has a positive effect on the students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh integrasi pendidikan berbasis lingkungan melalui mata pelajaran IPA terhadap kesadaran lingkungan siswa di SD IT Muhammadiyah Bandongan Magelang. Penelitian ini mengggunakan desain eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SD IT Muhammadiyah Bandongan Magelang sejumlah 360 siswa. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, yaitu siswa kelas III dan kelas V SD IT Muhammadiyah Bandongan Magelang. Kelas IIIA berjumlah 20 siswa dan VB berjumlah 19 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol, sedangkan kelas IIIC berjumlah 20 siswa dan VA berjumlah 18 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Data kesadaran lingkungan diambil menggunakan angket. Analisis hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan uji non parametrik Mann-Whiteney dengan bantuan software SPSS. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan Mann-Whiteney, diketahui bahwa nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) pada kelas III sebesar 0,004< 0,05 sedangkan pada kelas V sebesar 0,015< 0,05. dapat diartikan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan integrasi pendidikan berbasis lingkungan melalui mata pelajaran IPA terhadap kesadaran lingkungan siswa di SD IT Muhammadiyah Bandongan Magelang.

Abstract

The teachers are one of the determinants it is success or failure on teaching and learning process in school. One of problematics that faced by teacher is the teacher lacks confidence in their own ability to overcome the problems. Based on the phenomenon, it is interest to conduct research on teacher’s self efficacy in elementary school. The method in this research is qualitative, while the data obtained through observation, interview, and as supporter used self efficacy scale of teacher. Subject in this study research amounted to 40 elementary school teachers in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Based on the result of observation, interview and self efficacy scale analysis on teacher, it can be concluded that there are 32,5% of teachers who have low self efficacy, 47,5% teachers who have moderate self efficacy, and 20% teachers who have high self efficacy. The result shows that there are teachers who still have low self efficacy, both at the time of teaching or in helping to solve students problems.
